I'm Building A Wildlife Homestead! (First Steps) 

The big move is finally complete, and it's time for me to start one of my first projects - building a hide! My goal is to make the land around the house a haven for wildlife, with a real focus on wildlife conservation and restoring local habitats for our most important species.
From the front room I've been observing the plethora of small birds that abound in the front garden. This has been formally planted so it needs re-landscaping. Out will go the formal plants and were going to plant some native trees. I'm also going to build a small permanent hide to take advantage of the bird species available and we need to look at positioning and what were going to build it out of.
