on my weight saving stages and this time I'm getting serious YES I'm actually cutting off my metal roof and fitting on a lightweight CARBON fibre race version but will it work
Loving this Dan and looking forward to seeing the next series of vlogs. I totally agree with your light weight approach and although nowhere near as interesting as what you are doing my little Alpine A110S follows that with an actual measured weight of 1115kg. Although it has no more power than the hot hatches of today (circa 300BHP) that mass advantage just delivers everywhere. Need to make sure I've got a stack of tea bags to watch what's coming up :)
Thanks Kevin and yes those alpine's already out on tracks eating up cars with twice the HP proving the point totally.... Thanks again for the kind words and support really appreciated 👍🏻
Yes and I do know of a set but sadly all painted so you don't see the raw carbon on the inside of the shuts but they would be a huge saving as 996 doors are so very heavy literally must be 100+ kg the pair
They're quite light for 3pc wheels but yeah not particularly light overall in the wheel world I'm looking to get to the target with these wheels as I know wheels and brakes will be my next go to place for the next stages 👌

@@johnwinters9235 yes I know the ones although Oz have an even lighter set of one piece wheels that look similar to my superleggra think ultraleggra maybe would like them with my semi slick tyres as they too are lightweight race tyres then I have road and race wheels 👍🏻
