I'm FINALLY Playing Last Epoch

One of the main issues with Diablo for me is that while it is fun to hit your buttons, for a large portion of the game you hit the crappy button 4 times so you can press the feelgood button once or twice.

I find it amazing that the chat poll result was almost a perfect 50/50 split.

"Runemaster doesn't interest me." My brother who is watching this with me: "Oh Sean is making a mistake." For real though, runemaster is probably the best designed subclass for that class. The magic combo system is a lot of fun.

I was as excited as Day9 when I saw the world map. I love it when games have an expansive world for you to explore! I don't think I've ever seen maps that show the changes through different Eras though, that's very cool.

I've been reading Reacher novels for a while too, and I can 100% confirm everything Sean says about them. They're amazing reads. x3 'Get your retaliation in first' automatically makes him the smartest and most sensible protagonist of all time.

The cat names story reminds me of the mayor in Family Guy breaking down laughing over one of his cats being named Paul.

I've been really enjoying Last Elephant. One of the best arpgs I've played in a while. I can see min-maxing gear being a little frustrating, but that's fine.

I appreciate Day9's diplomatic take on Diablo 3, which is a restatement of "the story is good but sadly the gameplay pales in comparison to Diablo 2." Personally I would tell ANYBODY who played Diablo 2 to play Diablo 3... Just... Only once.

Last Epoch is the most fun i've had with an arpg sense Diablo 2. It still needs some patches however. I've encountered several bugs and two broken sidequests which annoy the heck out of me.

this game feels early access.

Warlock is crazy fun & powerful, but really any acolyte mastery rocks. Hope you pick Runemaster when you play mage mate, prob one of the top 3 masteries right now. Once you've played through the story once, you can power level any class to its masteries inside a couple hours (by lvl 15-16).

Shaman has a greate cold builds sadly so many chat noobs ))

never trust the developpers with default settings, they always put motion blur on!! Also completely disagree about the campaign being the end in Diablo 3, the seasonal challenges are what keeps people coming back. You don't even play through the campaign.

I really appreciate the point about commitment... I have played SO much Diablo 2 and I always enjoyed restarting a character when I thought of a new build... I feel like games that let you respect willy-nilly are just trying to help you get through the game so you can stop playing sooner... "Don't worry if you were thinking about rerolling your fire wizard - you can try swapping to a top-level lightning wizard for a few minutes just to see if it's fun right before you finish the game, just in time for Path of Exile to finish downloading so you can play a game you'll actually enjoy." If you're creating a game and you don't have confidence that your players will enjoy playing the game twice, by all means, just let them swap classes and specs so they can try everything in their first and only playthrough, then they won't need to ever play your game again. Brilliant.

I think that pets name weirdness depends on country. For example half of all pets in my country(Poland) are "Max" which is not short of Maxwell or something like that. Its Maksymilian. Which is not popular but still polish name. But Max isnt. Which make this funny bc every 20 kid name is Maks. And every second pet is basicaly the same. Another example. I know a dog called Mu rzyn(i put space to literally avoid YT bots). And that was normal name for BLACK dog. But currently after reta-rdarisation of languages this is equivalent of N-word.

Disagree, pronouncing it epic is wrong. Epic is already a word with its own spelling, while E-pock stands alone, its just stupid to pronounce it the same as a different word when its own unique pronunciation is right there!

Play Grim Dawn, it's better.
