The whole region is a ticking time bomb, most Asian countries hate eachother and have some sort of history of conflict with their neighbors (China, N Korea, Indonesia, Myanmar vs South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Philippines)

North Korea&China are past communist countries and South Korea&Taiwan are democratic ones. Also why come up with southeast asia, we are talking about east asia/northeast asia. Southeast Asian geopolitics and East Asian geopolitics are two very different subjects.
How else are they going to defend their nation if citizens aren’t drafted they have a large amount of volunteer soldiers but that’s not enough when compared to the sheer size and capability of the Chinese military to taiwans this isn’t the west and things like this is happening all over the globe war is coming back to us all wether we like it or not democracy, high prosperity and relative peace has made western countries complacent of the reality of this world that’s they are for what we on the outside see as them slowly losing this new Cold War that we’ll cost millions of their lives in my opinion that’s a complete failure of their leaders for not properly educating them on world affairs and how something 3000 miles away could directly impact them

I'm fan from Taiwan. every boy who born in Taiwan has to serve in military its an obligation . there is no running away . i had served that for 4 months back in 2022. best thing for him to do is probably do military next year, and use this year to prepare a bunch of evergreen content and have them release on a weekly or bi weekly basis to maintain his relevancy, otherwise the streaming thing is likely gonna die off [Edit] a bit of googling says that, apparently they have to serve on the 1st of Jan of the proceeding year once you turn 18 in Taiwan. So presumably, he doesn't have to do it right away. If he grinds from now till September, that's like 4 month of solid work, which can probably get around 32 videos (as in proper ones, not react type stuff) then, viewership properly dips a little towards xmas? as in everyone is with their ifamily, and ad sense is bad in Jan anyways.
