When i was young i didn't a damn about history. I didn't understand why we had to learn about slavery in an all white high school after it has been made illegal over 100 years ago. I was like why don't we learn about WW2, All our grandfathers were in it? As i get older i understand the past gives a greater understanding of the present.

I always look forward to this on my Fridays! You don't have to like learning about history but it is important to know. A lot of huge sacrifices were made so that we can have the lives we live. It's only fair to know and appreciate that. The world we know can fall apart way faster than most people might think, and lessons from history may be the only thing that helps guide us forward. I still think the three of you are a great dynamic together and I know I'll definitely miss this podcast if it ends.

Tectone. The reason history is important is because history rhymes with itself. Humans are very much the same as when we first civilized. Knowing how groups of people reacted to social, political, and economic events is a good weathervane for what will happen the next time similar events occur. Does that mean *you* need to care about history? No. But it can be useful if you're ever faced with a decision and you want to predict outcomes. Unironically, the Hygiene Museum in my hometown (Dresden, Germany) is very well regarded and quite unusual. As teens we were here with our class and visited an exhibition about sexuality f.e. I've been here with my GF a couple of years ago and there was an interesting art exhibition. I don't often visit museums but it could easily hold up against the big archeological museums we have in Berlin f.e. The iron lung is something crazy to look at, or the body made of glass. They've also stuff were you could simulate hearing loss, stuff that measures brain waves which was turned into a game you could play against other people... Just generally an interesting place if you're interested and willing to learn. I guess it's fine to be ignorant. Life is stressful. But I like to think back about these visits and the experiences and discussions we had. Creating some memories is a good thing. Life is fleeting and much of the stuff is meaningless anyway. Museums are anchors and can teleport you through time.

I get why you have Tectone on this show specially with Asmon & Emiru who are not the best IRL conversationists. But man can you at least point out his flaws to him so he can work on them. The initial "BadAzz" episode where i would say the majority of peoples got their first impression, was obviously a fair bit annoying as he kept repeating badazz but it felt dialled up because it was exactly how Asmon would say it on his streams maybe 1 or 2 times per stream, so he immediately came out as a Asmon imitator but far more annoying since he wayyy over used the word. After this episode, if you were a Asmon watcher you could clearly tell Tec also watched him as he started moulding it into his personality and would bring up agreeable points / topics that Asmon covered on previous streams. Now onto one of the big offenders, it is the Bullsht. For whatever reason he needs to both exaggerate anything he speaks about or just completely make stuff up when he doesn't know what he's talking about (the infamous World War 2 date for example) His weeby/gacha obsession is crazy and when hes not using his Asmon personality, that's when his weeb personality is the dominating one. There's literally a Anime podcast Trashtaste that are not anywhere near the degeneracy levels of weeb as the way he acts even though they are far more knowledgeable on Animes/hentais. And finally his voice, but cant really do anything about that. But he should try learn social queues better and resist the urge to talk over people. Again, i get why he was chosen. Good for filling the air and probably not many others with that skill were up for it in OTK (prob needed to breathe some life into his viewers too)... But man... he could at least work on himself to make it at least a bit bare-able to listen to him. Not trying to hate on the guy too and actually tried not bringing it up before but i don't think anyone is actually saying the reasons and leaving the viewers with 2 choices of enduring it or just not watching.
Tectone might be the quintessential meathead but he is right on the calories in vodka, but that's kinda basic meathead knowledge and way more useful than history.
Listening to Tectone talk about cardio over weightlifting is hilarious, without proper lean body mass your ability to burn calories is significantly reduced. He knows about as much fitness as he does history.
Tectones problem is the fact he compares everything to himself instead of just doing his thing and talking about his life without a comparison to another streamer. Many streamers do this.
its not that he is loud or bald, its that he is a hypocrite. For instants starts the podcast complaining about people being different offline and online than talks about how happy it makes him that people perceive him to be the villain. If you want people to be they way they are offline and online why arent you? I just think some people dont like tectone, i have on and off days with him but over all seems like a chill dude
I actually did check out fear and hunger because tectone talked about it a while ago. It's really fun, but the music is soooo depressing. Genuinely loved it but it's fucking hard and it's very luck based.
Calories are not real. This thought drives me crazy. Zack is right most of the time but when he is wrong he is Dunning-Kruger wrong. Calories are a unit of energy not exclusive to food. The energy in the form of heat coming off a burning log is measured in calories. Personally I think what Zack is referring to is the complex relationship of how calories are extracted from different foods as well as people having differing metabolisms. It's difficult to predict how much of what type of food a person needs to maintain a set weight - way more complicated than government standardized university programs say it is. But for him to say calories don't exist is like saying the Sahara Desert doesn't exist just because he's never been there.
I think he means that they are real but most people don't understand the meaning of them. 650 calories to tectone is a lot different to 650 calories to Zack and that's a lot different to 650 to Emi. It's all about calories in Vs calories out. But most people have no idea what they burn and/or how much they require. And unless you track them it's pretty meaningless to your average person. But yeah that's me being generous to Asmon's point xD
I don't get it how people are shitting on Erobb for gaining weight when it's mostly muscle. That's what noobie gains look like. You gain a lot of weight in a short amount. If the camp was for 4 months and then he keeps gaining weight without gaining definition then, yes, he is just getting fat. Their so called friends are shitting on him publicly for getting any progress in the gym while he is going through horrible shit in his life
I don't know much about Erobb, but that's exactly how you gain muscle, there's even terms for it (bulking) and then cutting. It's extremely hard to do both at the same time, though many have.
your suppose to keep your mortgage as the 30 yr mortgage and then make extra payments when you can. This is the exact reason your not suppose to get a 10-20 year mortgage because the monthly bill is very high. Take the 30 yr mortgage and make extra payment when you can and you can still pay off your mortgage early and not have the threat of missing payments monthly
