I'm Going Through Some Things, and I don't Like it

My husband and I watch all your videos, but never leave comments. We felt compelled to say, "Thank you" for speaking your mind and the truth! We realize it's hard to speak out, but are grateful you did because believe me, it's very reflective of how so many of us feel. To repeat what has been said, you make us proud to be a follower of your channel!

Mike, I wondered how long it was going to take you to say what you just said. You show your patriotism in every video you make: by showing the flag sometimes. being a good steward of the land, by working hard to take care of your family and the animals that inhibit your land. You are a good example of how people should live every day, no matter where they live or their profession. I completely understand your frustration; I am a 76-year-old veteran of the Vietnam conflict/war, and I have never seen so much division in our country as there is now. I live in California and work in the Oil & Gas Industry, and believe me, it is not easy to work with a government against fossil fuels, and people who are being brainwashed by this climate change garbage. But we have to keep preaching our beliefs and convictions or it will all fall apart. Your 4th of July party is one of those small patriotic things I watch that gives me great joy. I will miss that this year, but I also understand your frustration, as I said. God bless you and your family and keep up the good work! Also, isn't it funny how one little screw can mess things up so much?

On a lighter note: been meaning to tell you- watching your sawmill brings back some incredibly happy memories for me, but maybe not what you think. In Eastern Utah, back when I was a little boy, my Grandpa would drive his pick up to the saw mill and pick up a load of ‘slabs.’ Those first cut pieces off the log. They were free, and poor farmers like my Grandpa would build hog pens, chicken coops, corrals and more out of those slabs and cedar posts (which we also got for free from tree harvest areas). I loved driving in my Grandpa’s truck and helping him build or repair pig pens and other structures out on the farm. . . . And so, I smile and reminisce every time I see you cut those slabs to square a log! Thanks! You guys are AWESOME! Sure miss you all!

Thanks for being candid, Mike. I feel the same way. I can’t imagine how we could tighten our nation’s belt enough to get back to a balanced budget. It is scary.

He keeps telling me when I get worked up like you just did “Greg, we got 15 maybe 20 years left on this earth, settle down and coast her on in from here” but it’s my kids and grandkids I feel bad for. Hi Mike, I watch your channel everyday and don’t comment very often but I have to say you have hit the nail on the head and applaud you for saying what you think and not caring about what others think. There needs to be more of this in this country because to me what is happening now is a total slap in the face to the Men and women who have fought for our freedoms and rights. The people on this channel are like a team, a family almost, and we will stand together. I agree with you thoughts on why do a huge party, but I have stopped doing it myself and truthfully there is no better way to pay respect to those gave their lives than to keep standing together to force a change in this country of ours. Thanks Mike. You spelled out a lot of very good points and hit the nail on the head with many of the issues. However, when it comes to the freedom concern, I feel you have to step back a bit and think about what we do still have. Just think a second. You were able to vent all your concerns and issues on a social media site including some complaints about public officials and not fear getting arrested. The other day you were able to go by some "precious metal" and drive to others states without having to pass thru check points. You have beautiful property and great personal belongings. I guess what I am trying to state is compared to many other countries, we still have it pretty darn good. The key now is we need to fight to hang on to what we still do have.

I'm a relatively new fan and watcher and love your content. I'm a USAF vet, my son is currently serving on the Eisenhower over in the red Sea. This entire country is struggling with everything you just mentioned and at some point we need to rally together and focus on fixing things instead of hating each other. I love your content cause I hope for our future, and look up to guys like you that have figured out how to make a living doing the stuff that you do. Whatever you do, please do not stop celebrating our freedoms. No matter how bad it gets, we need to remember why we have these freedoms. They haven't taken them all away from us yet, and I doubt they could ever take away our freedoms! But we do have to align ourselves better as Americans, that's for sure! Keep up the good work!

Brother…My father turned me into your videos recently. He is 75, I am 54. I agree and feel the same way you do. I even agree with what I know you would like to say but didn’t. We are in trouble as a nation. We are watching, as you stated, the slow but definite demise of the America we all grew up in and love so much. Mike, I'm not sure you will see this comment, but I need to share it anyway. First, thank you for all you do. Secondly, I urge you to not give up the fight. Others have commented that the opposition wins if we quit .There is nothing more true than that. You do us all a great service to include us in your celebrations of this great country. Being in California, I know how discouraging it is. Remember that not celebrating is a disservice to those that have fought for us for over 235 years. There are those that follow behind us, who have no idea of what and why we celebrate. They need to be shown, by us. You can see how many lives your celebrations touch by the comments. We're in the UK and are going through the same thing here. It's like returning to the old Feudal system where the elite make all the decisions based on their own desires. Democracy no longer exists in the main political parties as there's nothing to choose between them, but if history has taught us anything it's that freedom isn't automatic and continuously needs to be fought for. I'm not talking weapons and war, but exercising your right to be patriotic by celebrating the victories of the past and keeping our countries' traditions alive. I've a feeling that the winds are gradually changing and that more people than you think are beginning to awaken to the wrongs that are happening. Have your 4th July celebrations - it's more important now than it ever was before!

Mike I agree with you 100%. I'm not quite sure how we got here but here we are. I worry most about my children. When I was 28 years old I had a house and children and both my wife and I were in a solid place financially. We were able to afford what we had and we were relatively independent . Now my kids are both around that same age and they are struggling. We are lucky to be in a situation where we can help them, which ultimately means there are some things we'd like to buy and we've just kind of put that on the back burner. It's bad and it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I work in a large home center and I see people coming in barely able to afford things they desperately need. It's almost inevitable that the conversation goes very similar to what you just said. I can tell you that I speak to at least 40 people everyday and everyone feels like you feel. You are not alone and I hope there are enough of us who will try to do the right thing to fix what is so terribly wrong with this country. That being said, I think you should have this party in spite of how you currently feel. You will be around like-minded people and supporting our country with the hopes that it will get better. I am sorry that you're going to receive some negative comments and I hope you just block those people because you do not have a negative channel. You are not some radical right-wing guy. I feel like you're just looking for common sense that currently isn't there. Keep fighting the fight Mike. Keep doing what you were doing and don't be afraid to tell people how you feel. Most of us are great people and we are on board 100% and I'm just glad you're using your voice to let people know what so many others will not say.

I am now a retired Journeyman Machine Repairman from GM I have a compact tractor and do small side jobs. Your talk today about what's going on in our country right now is correct and yes the level headed good people will survive but the others will make it difficult. We still need to celebrate what we do have in this country not for what it is now but for what it was and what it could be. So keep on keeping on I struggle everyday especially the older I get but my love for GOD and my family keep me sane. Mike, Right on!! Best comments you've ever made. I did 30 years in the USAF, 14 of which were in the Pentagon. I saw exactly what you were talking about, and the Pentagon isn't as bad as many/most of the other departments and agencies. We REALLY have a problem--or a multitude of them. We are struggling with voting on a new school here in Vermont. It 99 million dollars and it will raise our taxes 20-30% over the next 3 years and the bond is 30 years. Good morning Mike. I have always structured my life on staying focused on what can I can do for my country, family and what directly effects my small world. With that I feel if I stop celebrating our country and our countries accomplishments and basic fundamentals then those apposed or simply don't care then they win and I must abide by their believes. No matter what we have the best country and freedoms of all. I hear what you're saying, just consider that a small group of our founding fathers disagreed with how to form our country but they, for the most part, stood strong and fought together. Just my two cents. I truly enjoy your videos and witnessing what you have accomplished for your family and community. Thank you

I would like to be able to do the work you guys do but at 80, I think I have to make other plans. This video and your message are spot on and mimic my feelings exactly and as a Vietnam veteran, this is not the country I served with 2 years of my life.
