I'm gonna kick start now. Kick starting impression NEW S&S PAN ENGINE. It is possible to start up an engine lightly. Type:Rodeo motorcycle Frisco Pan 80cu" S&S Motor
Love to hear stories like that. A man in love with his bike. Bought my first Harley this year 2019 as a 22 year old. Now i’ve had it for almost a year, and im NEVER selling it
@Sheridan Isashitstain duh dickhead, reading comprehension requires a bit more effort than just looking at the letters and applying what you imagine they might mean, try again buddy.
It all depends on internals. I have an 08 Night Train with a stage 2 kit. I think that puts it to about a "hot" 103 inch. She will scream. I had a 50 pan about 10 years ago. A real pan and I was one of the nay sayers too. But now that im older and do not want to work on it anymore or kick it for that matter (bones ache more at my age lol) I LOVE my Night Train!
On one hand I have to agree, That's more silicon than an entire season of Baywatch. But on the other hand... Doesn't Harley have enough gaskets, skipping out on a few is like a fart in space.
I first got a ride when I was 10 years old on a 62 Panhead. 35 bikes later I'm still drawn to a Panhead head with a generator. lower. The sound and look. Iron American Dream on RU-vid.
I've always liked Frisco-styled machines. Not a radical machine - just a clean, great all around road bike. One of the best bikes I've seen in a long time.
did you have any issues registering the engine with vosa? just wondered as i hear some say the older engines , knuck and pans are pretty poor on emmisions
LOVE the oldschool Triumph tail light! SOUNDS like heaven. Never saw S&S w/ a new HD fuel system/ carb , whatever tricky shit you got goin on! NICE Fn Ride my friend!
This is a beautiful bike. but how do sit on it without getting burned by th pipes on one side, and manage not to get your pant leg or bootlace pulled into that revolving belt on the other side.? Does this also have a suicide clutch?
just came across your video. im riding a 64 flh with s&s and this and that. I was wondering what spark plugs you are using and where its timed at. Thanks great bike wish mine started that easy.
thats the problem with people they think they should buy everything for a bike so its perfect doing it yourself with whatever u had used to be the essence of choppers this is what its about great bike
This bike is just wonderful. It has style, line, stance and attitude. It has an engine that is a design statement in its own right. I'm just thrilled to see it and hear it run, a snarling hound of that rebellion that has given motorcycling life and reason and freedom for all this time, thank Heaven. I'm getting old and I'm frightened that the kids will never get to to experience the golden age of riding as I did and that the means will die away with us. But this bike is a flag in the sun. It means kids with attitude are crafting dreams. It means kids with courage and vision are trading hard won treasure to make dreams metal, and ride them hard. It means kids with a future can blast past olds greys like me and insolently carve a new rebellious path, as it should be. Thank Heaven for kids with attitude and courage. Thank Heaven for firms like S&S that give the kids the tools. Thank Heaven for firms like Rodeo Motorcycles that do the hard things and sculpt these wonders for some to buy and more to inspire. I hope and believe the faith is safe. I hope and trust in the kids to grasp what we had and make it theirs to stand on and reach higher. .
John Edwards, The words you wrote, Sir, are beautiful and so bullseye perfect. They are, in fact, poetic, and as God and Harley-Davidson intended for things to be. Hats off to you from so Cal. Ride Forever!
Nice. I see that it has shovelhead exhaust ports on the heads, nice, and a shovelhead style intake manifold for better breathing. The thick D-rings would be nice on the valve covers. Just don't see many panheads these days.
Put away the tube of Silcone, see all that red shit on teh outside? Guess what, the Inside looks just like that! Spend all that money on SS parts, then doop them up with silcone sealer? You just cut it's life span to 1/4 Of what it hould be!
ryan sanders u got that rite if u find a numbers matching motor in any condition with title for around 7 grand take it I've seen pan motors alone go for 10 I've owned 3 the one I have now I got in 84 for 500 bucks those days are long gone tho
The originals are pretty but their engines are junk next to an S&S and can't take near the horsepower without breaking. For restoration, an original (engines are about five to seven grand). For riding, an S&S.
I wouldn't worry about the silicone, hell you could pour sand down that motor and it would still run lol. This motor sounds great , in fact I've never heard a pan sound so good. Great carb and ignition set up.I've been running this combo for years and nothing but good things. CV s and Mallory ignition great choice
those pipes are torturing your motor. Just fyi... bro just got a panhead an man I love that sound. love my 1340cc blockhead better tho but pans are always special. sick ride man, ditch those pipes.
+stray cat no backpressure. you need back pressure. check out exashast science. I do hvac for a living. trust me. you need back pressure. stop it from being sluggy and ital run much smoother. dragpipes are awful for power too. Your litturaly draining your power.
Drag pipes are awesome at WOT. Hence the name drag pipes. Everyone has an opinion. I'm sure that s&s has plenty enough torque at low speed to satisfy and rails at wide open throttle! Science.
B Thank you for your comments. When I shot this video, the engine was just assembled, and I didn't want to idle with low oil pressure and the oil wasn't circulating, so it's a little high! Please rest assured that idling will be lower. Other movies include vehicles that have been run-in, so please take a look if you like. Thank you.
