I'm having HEART SURGERY this week 

Praying! My favorite verse is Psalm 73:26 which says “my heart and my flesh may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever”. I have congestive heart failure and have had 7 heart surgeries in a couple years including 2 open heart surgeries and I’m also 100% dependent on my pacemaker for my heart to beat due to 3rd degree heart block. God has always been the strength of my heart even when my physical heart fails ♥️

I had this surgery when I was 21 and felt 150% better as soon as I woke up. I'm 48 now and have not had any episodes since. Prayers with you 🙏 ❤️

psalms 55:22 “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” this verse seems like a fitting reminder for soph’s surgery. although fear, worry and doubt may be loud in your head, listen for God’s voice instead. focus on His peace and love that surpasses all understanding!! ❤️

Ablation surgery has improved sooo much . My husband is 80 now but lived with an irregular heartbeat for many years. Back in the 1980s he was told it was just his unique heartbeat!!! Then research told us about ablations but it was so new and not proven over long term . Finally we felt the procedure proved successful and my husband underwent 2 ablations in 6 months. That was in 2010 and two ablations were necessary because there were a lot of pathways to be eliminated. He takes blood thinner to be sure that no blood clots form . Now there is a procedure called the Watchman that seals off the area where clots can form in the heart. You are so blessed ,Soph ,to live in a time where your condition can be treated. I will be looking forward to your recovery. Even though it is not open heart surgery your heart will still be impacted so just be aware of fluid build up around the heart. It can make you feel like it is hard to breath. The remedy is a diuretic. You will come through like a champ and in no time be the best for your adorable family!!!

My 2 favorite Bible verses are Philippians 4:6 “do not be anxious about anything but in every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your requests to God” as I struggle with anxiety, this verse is such an amazing reminder during hard times to lean on God for everything ❤️ and my other favorite is Matthew 6:34 “therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” I tend to get caught up in the future and “timelines” society has set for people and I can get extremely overwhelmed with thinking too much about things and I can forget to live in the now so this is one of my favorite reminders to worry about right now and take things as they come❤️ praying for your surgery and recovery soph, we love yall! ❤️

Praying so big Soph! My favorite Bible verse is Luke 8:50, “But when Jesus heard it, He answered “fear not, believe only, and she will be made well”. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2022 and last year ended up without a heartbeat. While I was gone, I remember seeing Luke 8:50 all around me in a screen of black. When I came to, a few days later I asked my nurse to look up that verse. As a new believer, I had no clue what it was about, but when she read it to me I knew exactly that the Lord was talking to me while I was gone. Long story short, that is now the Bible verse I lean on in every hard medical situation and it is such a blessing to get to share that. I had the exact same heart surgery a year and a half ago. Super easy surgery and recovery. Mine was 250. In the ambulance getting a shot they said they thought would never give. Felt like a horse kicking you full force in the chest. They asked me if I remember what I said and I said no. They said I repeated over and over... thank you jesus thank you jesus thank you jesus thank you jesus. They ambulance drivers had to work on me so the fireman had to drive the ambulance lol. I'm glad you're getting it taking care of now before it gets to the point where I was at. I absolutely had no breath my throat was so closed up. Prayers sweet girl you've got this!!

Im in high school and going through a lot a change, one being moving across the country from my home that I lived in all my life. This verse reminds me that even why I feel completely alone, God is with me and he hears me. He knows where I am and most important WHY I’m here, even if I don’t. My favorite verse is Psalms 27:4. Praying for you. My son and I both had the same condition and both had an ablation. I had it after I had him, he had it in 2021, when he was 13. I had to be awake! I’m so glad they are going to let you be asleep, being awake was very uncomfortable! Mine was heat, his was cryo. Both of us have not had any issues! It’s an easy recovery, day or two. You will be glad you did it!

I just had a cardiac ablation in August! I also had electrical problems, I have Afib and SVT. The surgery so far has been a success, I haven't had one episode since!!! They have pretty good success rates, but I also know people that have had 2 and even 3 of them so it's not a fully permanent fix, but it should help for years and years before you may need to do it again. Best of luck! ❤

What a sweet couple, just came accross this video..I'd love to read about your story, Ive had Open Heart surgery 20 years ago and still thriving.. Definately life not the same as before heart surgery, but still alive. I cannot be in extreme cold weather or hot weather..have to take daily afternoon naps since surgery, get tired easier...definately doable. I ride horses weather permitting, my heart goes out to you. I Subscribed so I will know when you are on the mend..

Soph, you will do great it's an easy surgery. I had SVT(a lot of extra pathways) and so did my son. It's not heredity they say, but in our case it was. My heart went up to 286 and i fainted. My son he was 14 months and his went to 314. The procedure is ok and yes i was scared but was able to go home that night. My favorite is 'I can do all thing through Christ who strengthens me'. That verse has always given me hope, that with that promise I could lean on him. I'll be praying for you and your family. God Bless!
