Wow some cool stuff! I always feel sad when I see someone selling off a massive collection because there’s usually a sad reason behind it (ie: need money, lost a loved one, too sick to play, having to downsize due to a move, etc.), but I’m glad to see these instruments get a new lease on life rather than landing in the wrong hands, getting trashed, etc. Thanks for showing us this amazing collection! Btw, I’d hang onto the Fender myself lol. Or at least swap if this one is better than what you have. Same goes for that guitar that you said yours is more beat up than the one she showed you. 😉

Very cool video Jeremy, glad that she has someone she can trust to find homes for those beautiful instruments. I just turned 68 and watching this made me think of making sure my wife has a list of my gear so she can dispose of it properly if I go before she does. 20 guitars of all high quality and types including custom made and I would hate to have her get ripped off.

Man, this is heartbreaking to watch. I lost both my parents in the past couple of years and going through all of their stuff has been super rough. I’m glad to see that these instruments are being well taken care of and in good hands. Was also super excited to see the Picker’s Supply sticker, I had the same one on my old Blazer for years, easily one of the best shops in the state!

Man-O-Man. A lot of good old pickin history in that home. I think if that eastman was mahogany it's either an E-6 D or an E-10 D. I know the 10 has the volute. I've had one on my radar for a while. They are quite loud and great sounding/playing dreads. What a cool collection!

That old Teens Gibson L-3 survivor looked pretty hammered. It’s amazing what those Clunky teen L1,2s & 3s bring today considering they’re not desirable as far as a player goes. Bless Her Heart she’s keeping the Martins. That Eastman I think was RW D-28 copy is a nice player. That old Kay? Bass sounded good!

Glad you put this together. You have to love those that love guitars, particularly acoustics - where every level of detail matters. I'm interested to hear the L3 and the Eastman. Wasn't it the Eastman she mentioned the word, cannon? As long as I've owned guitars, I've never even played an Eastman. I might have to find one and see what's what. Nice tour and history of a gentleman that loved playing music.

Had a couple of eastmans and played maybe 10. I had one that played and sounded great but it was not loud - kind of a dud I think. however, the others I have played have been excellent. Weirdly the inlay seems to be a struggle point, but I had an eastman parlor that was SO loud for a little guitar, and i've played a few others that really just kick ass. eastmans are great - definitely recommend checking one out. Try to get your hands on one first is my rec.

I've had three Eastmans, they're fantastic guitars. The E8D (dreadnought) I had qualified as a cannon.

@@randysrhythm Mine was a limited-run e10p LTD - with the Adirondack spruce. Other parlor i played was the e-20-P - also with adirondack. both were very loud and I'd happily take either!

@@Big_Dumb_Animal I knew a guy who bought an Eastman and ended up selling his vintage martin because he found a sound that was as good but he wasn't afraid to play. if you can bump out a vintage D-28, that's saying something.

Hi Jeremy. I'm going to Nashville for the first time ever in a few weeks. Only going to have a day or two for guitar hunting. What are the best shops there for new and vintage acoustic guitars? I'm looking to play some of the guitars in your "Best under $1K", but would also like to hear some vintage and/or boutique guitars (I would LOVE to play a Huss & Dalton TDM!).Thanks and keep up the great videos. I'm also working on your "Right Guitars Faster" course to help me out - great info!

@@JeremySheppard As I understand it a widow is usually a wife whose husband is dead, and a widower is a husband whose wife is dead. So in this case I would say that she is selling her late husbands guitar. She is the widow.
