Its crazy when you realize Obito had been playing 3 different characters this entire time. It goes without saying, he absolutely wasn't dumb or immature. He may be a "fake Madara" but he was still an incredibly cunning, manipulative, and dangerous shinobi; he learned from the best. Not to mention we saw that he researched a lot on the various jutsus of different Konoha clans. Also keep in mind he was still like 13-14 when he pulled up to the Akatsuki who were in their late teens, pretending to be MADARA.
@@therealea5269 Even if he didn't defeat Minato himself he still took him out, which is very impressive for a 14 year old considering that Minato is an uber genius and very strong
@@furiousdestroyah9999 Well he got completely obliterated by Minato when they actually fought. But he was able to “take care of” Minato with the 9 tails
'Akatsuki' means 'dawn' or 'daybreak'. However, if you split it up into 'Aka' and 'Tsuki', it instead reads as 'Red Moon'. The original Akatsuki, as formed by Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan, was named 'dawn'/'daybreak', as a representation of their intent to bring about the dawn of an era of peace. When Obito took over as the shadow leader and changed the mission statement, he also changed the meaning of the group's name to be 'Red Moon'. Madara's plan that Obito inherited, Tsuki no Me, involves reflecting a sharingan genjutsu off of the moon. Upon doing this, the moon would take on the appearance of a giant sharingan, in whatever design the casting eye has, and the distinctive red color would be a part of that. Just like the 'dawn' version of the name, the 'Red Moon' version of the name was a representation of the end goal.
I think this grouping of episodes is one of the reasons I like the dub more because Obito's voice when he screams before the massacre, when he says "I'm In Hell" and when madara is doing his speeches the voice actors do magnificent jobs
Because they can control it to stop all war, death, and suffering as they please. That's the motivation behind the plan is creating a heaven-like state of consciousness for everyone.
i think there's difference in "one dream for all people" and "people see their dream". the first wouldn't be much different from reality because people's interest would clash in it the same dream. tsuki no me plan is the second, it doesn't matter what happens inside the dream because it's each people's dream, so it's not like there's no conflict, there could be conflict but how that develops is each to their own dream.
I think Kishimoto could have done a better job of selling the infinite Tsukyomi idea. I think more people would consider it if they actually thought about what it would mean. You could have anything you wanted and never be stressed or feel hopeless again. You could be be the richest person on the planet or the smartest one. Literally anything.
The fun fact is that we think we live in reality xD... Who says we are not in GOD'S creation what ever technology he uses to create this reality and us in it....
So having been through some tragedy myself, including the love of my life dying, I don't think I'd ever take the dream "ideal" life over reality. I'd give anything to have her alive again, absolutely, but there's something about struggle and pain and loss that is so fundamental to growth that I couldn't fully set that aside to regain what I've lost. If I never lost her in the first place and didn't remember? Maybe, cause I'd know nothing different. But making the conscious choice and knowing? Yeah couldn't do it chief
Since he asked us how we feel about the infinite tsukuyomi, Many fans including myself agree and feel that it's the only way for true peace to be achieved, I was in Madara's side since I heard the plan
well, it's kinda true. it may result to mass death and i wouldn't say that it's true peace, but still.. peace could only be reached by erasing humanity's individuality and infinite tsukuyomi plan did that
Well, Obito learned from Madara... and then basically hijacked everything from him and took it for himself. He heard the plan, decided it was good and took it for himself. If he got his way, Madara would've stayed dead.
18:54 That scene was amazing. So many emotions in a single scene: sadness, anger, despair and when the endings hits, just wow. You need to watch the ending some day. It's hits even harder if you watched the ending and know the context.
The various unique Sharingan abilities have thematic relevance to that character, and Obito’s Kamui is the best example of that in my opinion. Post-Madara’s intervention, Obito’s entire motivation is *escaping reality*. Kamui quite literally allows him to escape anything which would do him harm in the real world by going to his own world. In this episode when he first tries to hold Rin’s dead body, he unintentionally slips through even her too, as if his body is subconsciously trying to protect him from the fact that she’s dead.
While Kakashi wanted to erase everything because of the anger (join the ambu "root", doing executions) so his Kamui applications were firstly to vanish something
Amaterasu is meant to be the hatred Itachi and Sasuke see, but Sasuke can control it and cover himself it in. Sasuke embraces the hatred and he throws it back at others while Itachi only sees it.
@@SuperDababy2 Also Itachi's Tsukuyomi , a near perfect illusion reflects Itachis himself , living under the illusion of being a traitor in order to protect the village.
I love how the form of the wood-style surrounding the red moon represents the Tobi mask with the red Mangekyou, and the red moon is also symbolic of the Infinite Tsukuyomi
Obito made elite ninja from the "Blood" Mist Village scared. These guys have killed before, as children they fought to the death to become ninja and they can't even believe what Obito is doing. This scene hit so hard on release, like from a happy kid wanting to protect his friends to someone who no longer sees the world as reality but instead as hell.
And believe it or not, there are people who think ADULT Obito wouldn't be able to do the same thing to the shinobi alliance army as Madara did. He stomped a small army of anbu as a child, he'd kill the alliance army just as easily as Madara. His abilities weren't that flashy but he was obscenely powerful.
@@_Seru_ obito is just not as shrewd as madara (him not snatching back his sharingan from kakashi even though it will be his liability is the proof) and those people thought of it as being weak in ability
Yes, I'd love to live in a perfect dream world. I don’t care about my actual life. If I wasn't so scared of dying I would've killed myself years ago. And I don’t even experienced a tragedy. There just isn’t a point to life. Maybe in a Dream World it would be better, so yes, I'd go there.
Madara is the #1 ranked player you come across in a match and you don't get excited to challenge him but you get excited be in his presence and get a tbag in One of those career ending characters where you sit down and have a drink, laugh about what you've accomplished in life now that it's over
In the "I'm in hell" shot obit has his sharingan eye covered in blood and crying out of the eye he has shut. Even his tobi mask only allows him to see through with his sharingan eye revealing how he now sees the reality of the world..
Fun Fact: In the databooks, Guruguru/Swirly Zetsu's real name is "Tobi" and so that's how Obito ended up using the mask and embodying his persona (name, voice, behavior). Of course, the similarity with their names could be intentional by Kishimoto, but the zetsu was the source of his inspiration.
I just realized while listening to Obito parrot Madara's speech about the nexuses to Nagato that Yahiko's death is like a mirror of Rin's death. Two people are surrounded while a third is an unwilling bystander, one of the two who's surrounded throws themself on the other's attack to commit suicide, and one of the three at the scene goes insane and kills all of the surrounding enemies. The respective soles aren't the same, but the overall situation is almost 1-1.
26: 35 "I have a proposition for you: would you like to be manipulated?" My brain to me when I see a hot dyed hair scene girl with 27 individual red flags
Obito after what happened to rin is the best example of this quote - "There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, AND THE ANGER OF A GENTLE MAN"
If you recall from way earlier, it was mentioned that Madara had the 4th Mizukage under a genjutsu for years. Madara completely planned this. Also the Rinnegan stuff will make more sense eventually.
i never forget the moment i watched this episode when its was weekly, for me this is the most shocking episode from Naruto. btw u watched a censored version of this episode
25:38.. It's kinda crazy how the zestu that's in the akatsuki has is a personification of yin and yang. We learned that white zestu half is made from Hashirama and the black zetsu half is made from Madara..
@@Faxityy dude, this is just a response, this is just a response from your audience, why don't you think about the response from your audience? why do you respond with no respect?. you have a bad personality bro
do you realize it? this is very impressive moment. Obito gets Kamui which gives him the ability to teleport anywhere without hand seals in a short time. no longer late. and with Kamui, Obito is able to go through anything on his skin, so that he no longer feels the body he loves feels cold against his skin😢
To answer your question, yes I've been through some shit, lost people I wish were back, but the ultimate answer is no, I would not choose a simulation or a dream world over reality. It wouldn't be them and it'd be an insult to them.
@@Faxityy because youtube has banned adblock now part of the new youtube crackdown on adblockers and we can't watch your videos anymore because there's like 10+ ads every 2 minutes making your videos basically unwatchable
@@Faxityythe main problem is that because your videos are so long, that means there is more ads every 2 minutes or so. If your videos were shorter, then it would probably just be 1 ad but the ads happen every 2 minutes or so and you can't skip most of them. I enjoy watching your videos but the watching experience has been ruined with the ads now since adblock is banned
22:00 Instead of this I can also imagine where they would be a cult and you could join them in the infinite tsukujomi like people who go to cryo-sleep! ^^
Reason Kakashi's lightning blade is through her is because she put herself in the way, she had a tailed beast put in her and she knew that when they got back to the village it would be released and destroy everything
