I'm mildly worried about UNI2's Opening

Watch me nitpick for 5 minutes.
Unknown Actor was something special. Even if I prefer End of Dawn as a song, Unknown Actor's opening animation is still the series' absolute peak.
Let's just say that False Infinite Parallel and Stack Black don't flow together that well in comparison.

Well the New OP is a banger just from the 30 seconds we got of it. Now it's just the matter of the animations. EDIT: The new OP is okay but it's certainly no End of Dawn or Unknown Actor. Apparently neither the song nor video were made by Raito or FB, an odd choice.

Unknown Actor is personal favourite as it syncs up perfectly well with the intro video. 2nd one being End of Dawn, if only it was longer though.

I'm hoping raito responds to my requests for a full version of End of Dawn, lyrics to Londrekia's Arcade ED theme, and the UNIEL main menu theme being selectable in UNI2.

great video, really agreed with the points made. my personal hope is that since characters are getting new animations even outside of moves (e.g. new nanase win against hyde), the pixel artists can actually coordinate with the op editor instead of just giving them assets. probably unlikely tho lol

I assume we'll get more version updates from II onwards in which we might get a few more key art out of it but who knows. We'll hopefully see extent of that legendary "French Bread" money at TGS.

Honestly I like the idea of more sprite animation but yeah I agree that UNIST was the best OP (bar the OG Melty Blood OP) that French Bread has put out. I feel like they need to see more YT sprite animations tbh. A lot of cool things you can find with those.

Yeah, the new OP song is called "Towards the End of Reincarnation". I like the song enough and we got like 2-3 seconds of the animation during the Day 3 stream of TGS.

@@DeepestDankest God why did Cold Steel had to go that way, Trails is my favorite JRPG series and Trails In the Sky The 3rd and Trails to Azure are my favorite JRPGs ever, but man I dread what's going to happen with Trails thanks to Cold Steel 4 and onwards

I've already cut my losses from the franchise, I don't care what happens in its future. Lloyd and co. liberated Crossbell from Erebonia at the end of Ao no Kiseki and everyone lived happily ever after.

@@DeepestDankest That's so sad, I wanted to see what happened at the end of this long overarching story, but Falcom keeps making bad decision over bad decision and it hurts seeing it go that way, I should probably cut my losses too but at least I wanna see where it's going with my own eyes

UNIEL released on consoles in the west on Feb 24th and UNIST was on the 9th. February is THE month for releases for FB.

@@DeepestDankest FB games seem to have a pattern of having 6-month gaps between reveal & launch. UNIClr & UNI2 were announced at EVO, plus MBTL was announced on Mar 30 (and launched Sep 30 as well)

Was MBTL actually announced in March? I swear it was around like June or May, or at least that's when the gameplay trailer first dropped.
