I think its got to do with how old some of the CCP leaders are. If you look at it closely and compare it to other State or Government leaders you'll notice that the older a head of State becomes the more they cling to power and the more aggressive their methods get to stay in control. That is not a phenomenon limited only to China. I think it has to do with that these leaders feel they are getting to the end of their live span but they confuse it with getting to the end of their reign so they feel like they have to tighten their rule... Any form of power corrupts a person. Total control corrupts totally...

I live in the US and I can confirm that I also get stabbed every night when I go out. I live in a relatively "safe" area, which just means I only get shot like once a month. Before Trump made America Great Again, I would get shot every night. As you can imagine, you need very good health insurance in America.
I used to work nights. Every night, on my way in to work, I'd make a mad dash from my car to the building hoping I'd only get shot twice. I worked at Walmart, so as you can imagine, I was getting trampled for most of my shift. By morning, I'd be lucky to only have 205 broken bones. I'd crawl back out to my car, getting stabbed at least 71 times along the way, and spend the afternoon stuck in traffic trying to get to the bank so I could apply for a small loan of a million dollars to cover my hospital bills. Usually by the time I'd get to the bank, the place was being robbed again, and I'd get an extra few bullets for my trouble. There was one time when a cop mistook me for the robber and shot me 8 times in the back of my head before hosing me down with pepper spray and hauling me off to jail. During my brief 20-year sentence, I met a wonderful man named Big-Dick Rick who'd anally rape us all in the shower every day. He'd go through every single one of us alphabetically, and when he was finally done, we'd all shank him 89 times with sharpened toothbrushes. They weren't that sharp, to be honest. You'd be amazed how quickly stabbing the other inmates 2487 times a day can dull a plastic shiv. The guards would come through every half hour and shoot us all at least once. If you'd been shot in the last half hour, you'd get beaten with a crowbar too. We were all strung out on fentanyl, so it didn't bother us too much. When I finally got out, I learned the bank had sold my house, my car, and even my left kidney. I didn't even know I still had that. Destitute and desperate, I turned to the streets and fully committed to my life of crime. When I'm not getting stabbed 98 times a minute, I wait in the shadows to shoot *you* on your way to work every night.

I dread it every time my wife talks to her family in China. It is nothing but negativity and pushing her to leave me and come back to China and "Marry a nice Chinese Man".
When I was in my 20's I dated a really smart and very tall Chinese boy born in Singapore who was so madly in love with me I think he would've died for me, to be honest. His uncle, who was mainland Chinese, couldn't stand me. He was pleasant to my face but he was determined not to let him marry me. I had never felt real racial prejudice in my life (I guess that's "white privilege" ha ha) So I broke up our relationship for both our sake's. I often wonder what became of him. He's probably working in Silicon Valley and funneling all kinds of technology back to China. Making $500K a year.
@anne I don't think the ancestors would object to a little outbreeding in their family blood lines. It only promotes genetic vigor. As to the ancient land of the ancestors, Mao and his communist successors pretty much have erased most of that. The four olds and all.
Runze Yu it was not anti China. I am a peaceful person. I’m sorry for the misunderstanding. I am worried about the the corona virus and wish the best for the Chinese people. I hope you and your family also stay safe and healthy.
Hey, honestly even if the CCP didn’t say it directly, I don’t want any news organizations slandering anyone. I respect your culture, though this is just wrong.
My Chinese wife wasn't impressed, even though I was a super good singer, sounding like George Michael, Josh Groban, or Pavarotti. 12 years later, she divorces me because I didn't become rich, though entirely due to HER emotional abuse, her neglect, and her destruction of our finances, etc.
The way he looks at her 😍 it’s so obvious he adores her. Only thing is he really needs to stop talking over her and just listen and let her talk. She is absolutely adorable
Yo your wife’s English has massively improved! That’s so dope you both are fully bilingual now. Your children are ever so lucky. Trust me, my Father is Serbian and my Mother is English/French and speaking all 3 has opened all kinds of doors throughout my life 🙌 Best wishes guy!
Forgive me if i sound like an asshole but.. what doors does speaking Serbian open up? Makes sense if your in the Balkans but i wouldn't have imagined it would be too useful outside the region.
@@MrSnazzleBox if you can speak serbian you can speak Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin and understand the majority of Macedonian and Slovene. Because Czech and Slovak and quite similar but Polish is more its own thing, is it similar to that or is there a reason why all those languages are so mutually intelligible but Bulgarian isnt?
I cry every night when my Chinese wife (yes i'm actually married to a Chinese woman) looks on taobao and buys a billion more exercise pants she doesn't need.
@@justaclosedaccount Well, I was "almost" married to one. If a woman would insist on reckless spending AND have me pay for it, then she can take a hike. If she's just wasting her own money, I don't care. And in this context, it doesn't matter whether she is Chinese or not.
Just an odd observation, inspired by the lonely Chinese girl in the United States comments. When I married my Vietnamese wife, I was worried about her being isolated and lonely. Turns out, she had more friends and relatives living in the US then I did. I was stunned. It seems like, no matter what US city we travel to, she's got some friend or relative that we can stay with. It's incredible. In our home town, she has friends over to visit constantly. So the last thing I ever needed to worry about was my wife being isolated.

@Walter Lawrence only old slave-drivers would think that a woman is the "best' just because they are able to stay way from their country/family and friends or community without complaining is that how your all view" as "good"? if so then your perception is very limited and egocentric based
I remember my Chinese students (not in China, in my country) being very relieved to find out that where I live, all those signs you see everywhere, eg in shops 'smile - you're on CCTV' did not mean Central China TV, but closed circuit television! They had thought the reach of their government was such that the CCP had their cameras everywhere abroad as well! Though they'd never say this openly in class: because in a class of 10 Chinese students (which changed personnel many times over the years) there was always that feeling that they wondering which one of the ten of them was the spy, funded by the CCP to take English classes abroad and report back on anyone who said anything negative about China. One day we were having a discussion about the wonderful and 'weird' things people might eat in China (eg fried locusts etc) and one of the Chinese guys muttered under his breath 'babies'. In the context I clearly understood he was saying even babies got eaten in China (the poverty must be awful) though he said it so softly I wasn't even sure I'd heard right at first. But on reflection I realized that was indeed what he'd said. I never took it up with him, but I was shocked, and I thought I'd heard it all.
@@crossinu3342 It is more likely but then again China has had many famines. Hunger makes you eat whatever you can. Even if that means each other. I know there was this labor camp in Russia where the soldiers didnt give the prisoners enough food so they started eating the weak
