I totally understand the need for a bath tub. I have Crohn’s disease and chronic joint pain and baths are essential when things flare up. Enjoy the heck out of that tub!

Where are these magical places where rent can be negotiated. I live in Colorado Springs and since April our average rent is well above Denver... don't even get me started on how much a tiny house costs here.
@@rachelmakrucki3172 In Chicago there are a bunch of empty apartments especially in high rises you can definitely negotiate for lower. In my community page I've seen so many people looking for subletters and offering a free month. Landlords also constantly lowering rents. I often thought my old neighborhood was overpriced and I got priced out a few months ago so I'm glad to see subpar places going for less.
I moved during all this as well, and my biggest tip is that new furniture is taking forever to arrive, so don't get rid of any furniture before the new stuff comes in. Or you'll be sleeping on a mattress on the floor for months, like I did.
Yup! Especially during covid, IKEA was closed so I had to find a bed through the marketplace. Couch was on backorder through the roomplace when we ordered, we thought fine we can wait a month and a half then they call close to delivery to tell me it would be longer. I said forget it I'm getting one through costco which came about a week later. Wish I knew about the costco option earlier.
I grew up on Long Island worked in NYC for years I get the whole “3 mile drive taking 30 minutes” it’s why I moved to upstate NY. Good luck with the move and congrats! Shortened commutes are life changing!

Omg I feel you!! I NEED to soak with my joint issues. Right now all I got is I’ll make a cereal bowl of epson salt and water and sponge that onto a wash cloth and wrap in plastic wrap. Which I know people will come for me on that but I have no tub 🤷🏼♀️

I feel bad the reason she’s moving, because of so much time spent driving back n forth to doctor appointments. I live in the middle of nowhere so the drive to anything is minimum 20-30 minutes so I understand. But I feel bad for Taylor having to endure so many health issues. Poor woman works so hard! She deserves to live a comfortable life.

I'm watching this in April 2021 and it's wild because my mom signed on her house at the end of October 2020. She'd been living with me and my husband for over 12 years and had been looking for her own place for almost that entire time, so she really knew the market and said that the 2020 prices were really low for our area; she ended up being able to pay 5k over asking price to secure her dream home because it was so low. A bath was one of her must-haves too. 😊

I feel this. My husband and I decided to sell our house and move in one day. One week later, our house was sold and we had bought another. One of the reasons we decided was so that I can be closer to my doctors. Good luck with the move!

I have a couple autoimmune diseases and can’t survive without a big tub. Btw, CBD bath bombs are amazing and worth every penny if you haven’t tried them.

Baths are so necessary for migraines. I don’t have one in my current house, and hubby and I talk about renovating to get me a tub at least once a month. So i feel your excitement for having a tub.

I am moving too, finished home inspections last week and got word today seller will be fixing all of the issues ❤ I am happy. It's a townhome, its perfect for me because I am always on the go for my background is law enforcement. Imma busy bee !
One thing I’ve learned over the years is that when something is the right choice most of the times mountains are moved to make them happen sooner than we think. This is such a great move for you. You are an inspiration. Also you never owe us an explanation when it comes to your health. I have health issues and it’s just easier to only include those close to me.

I totally get the bath thing! I deal with chronic health issues as well and I can barely even do showers anymore. Baths help with the pain for me, but also the fact that I can’t always comfortably stand for as long as I would need to while taking a shower. I don’t know what I would do without a bath tub!

I don't think people realize how important baths and Mr. Epsom are, especially to people with arthritis or other health issues. Girl, I left my tub in california for a cruise ship shower in Germany and while I like my flat and being in Europe, I literally dream of baths. It alone is enough reason to move. If I stay here, I will be looking for a flat with a tub!

My husband and I are considering a similar thing where we move into a bigger house and keep our current house as rental income. But the biggest hurdle is figuring out how to keep up with maintaining the rental property and all the hassle that comes with that. Are you planning on using a property management company for screening renters and repairs/maintenance?
As someone who grew up in a rural town in the Midwest and currently lives in SWFL I completely understand the traffic issue. We have "snowbird season"/tourist season and traffic increases by 30-40 minutes in time. I recently renewed my lease for another year but, I've been looking out West (Colorado, Oregon, Washington) as I've lived in Florida now for 6 years and I'm needing new scenery.

Growing up in the military I got used to moving every 2 years. After getting married, I hadn’t moved in 19 years and am now 2 weeks away from going to another state. There is something that is freeing, in a sense, about being able to start over and somewhere new.

I live in Manhattan and absolutely understand the short distance/long time issue. It usually takes 30+ min to drive cross town and many people move within the city for shorter subway rides. Good luck!

Don't get rid of your current furniture until you're able to get new stuff delivered!! everything is back ordered and taking forever. I've been sitting on zero gravity chairs in my living room for the entire first month after I moved and still waiting on that couch to arrive.
5 hours is just nuts. I think moving is the best thing for you to be closer to your medical and social supports. Can't wait for your decor videos in your new place!
Congratulations. I very much understood the desire to be closer to all your doctors, all my specialists are over an hour away. And the tub! 💯 percent understand the Epsom salt soaking baths. I have to take many a week for pain.
Omg, that's how I moved from Florida to NY. I decided to move while I was at the beach with my friend then by the end of the week I was packing and had my job transfer in place. Didn't even have time to apt shop so my boyfriend and I had to live with my parents for a month 😬😂

My mom has had chronic pain issues for 30ish years now. Glossing over lots of details but a big factor in why they've spent 15 years in their current house is because of the jacuzzi tub in the master bath. It matters!!

I hate doctors appointment days! Driving to a ferry, ferry then driving in Seattle traffic to the doctors offices. Get either Super early or just on time and you always miss the ferry going home because timing. The idea of living close to doctors office is amazing, hopefully it helps! You deserve the bathtub so much! (I love moving vlogs!)

Oh honey i so get the bathtub thing. I suffer from chronic migraines and baths help so much. We renovated our master bath to include an antique claw foot tub and i have never loved anything more.
I totally agree w your reasoning for being closer n moving. I'm in the same boat as u but moved 5yrs ago from SF to Las Vegas yuck I know but way less traffic for all my appts n cheaper tho. We also moved during Covid to a more expensive/better location place. It was very bizarre. OUr new town is very nice with a cute downtown, but because of Covid we can't really do much. Even just meeting neighbors has been very limited because no one wants to get too close. Having such a bright and cheerful home, you will love. Ours is great especially with working from home, being more functional makes it more enjoyable. Good luck!
