Imagine that... Tyler wearing grey sweatpants and white sneakers (just like DiCaprio in the movie) talking on a pay phone to Wizard and then he starts to blab unintelligible stuff and has to crawl all the way down to his Countach.
It first means "really" strong that hit it with feet or sledgehammer and unlike say Lesser American and Japanese, it is strong enough to withstand hated forceful strikes.
@@cpscps2679 watch Canonball Run 2 and the scene where the monsters try to kidnap the sheik in the Rolls but their american tinbox sedan couldn't stop the Rolls with the clamp attached breaking their yank tank in half. That's what's up, jack!
Also, replacing 1 piston. Did he remove others and balance them? EDIT: I mean balance the weight of the new piston to match the others so the engine doesn't vibrate badly. Some people thought I meant balance the piston rotationally. Seriously??
Nah, that doesn't do anything to the engine, they are made to work like that, the engine already had that problem, it was bound to happen sooner than later
The Wagoneer looks great, and that wood grain looks so close to original. My mom had an 81 Wagoneer in the same colour when I was growing up so this takes me back.
I was hoping to get credit for the Prius power steering upgrade :((( , since I was the one who suggested it on your previous Mustang update video lol 🥺😭
That Wagoner is the best. I love those things. My wife is not the biggest fan of older cars, but she has always liked these to the point that I think she would enjoy being in it. It would be the perfect "baby steps" car for her! Someday I hope to get one.
Whenever life is going suspiciously smoothly and no untoward "events" have occured in quite a while, the Wizard only has to cast his eyes towards Hoovie's Bentley Turbo R to regain his sense of reality and realise that nightmares lurk around every automotive corner!!!
Both the Mercedes SLS AMG and the Lamborghini Gallardo were recent six figure purchases with nothing wrong with them. Tyler had to create fake drama to get content with those cars.
...free...?...how do you know that and are you not aware that most savvy garages have storage clauses in their contracts to assign fees for lengthy stays...
Tyler, great job with the WAGONEER. Kenny Watson at Watson and Son will have the parts you need for those reflectors. The plastic parts are available aftermarket for cheap. I probably have a few sets laying around if you don’t find them.
Considering all the nice cars he has, I can say that out of them all, I'd take the mustang. It really doesn't get much better than that as a sunday or weekend cruiser.
Very clever Hoovie, your 'winter' Bentley has successfully kept you and it warm, in the garage and out of the bad weather. Isn't that why anyone buys an old Bentley?
Surely somebody out there can 3-D print for you that missing plastic part for the Wagoneer. I always love the update videos, because every car has a story to tell. thanks Hoovie!
Hoovies garage is the only channel that I will watch every second of every video. Doug Demuro gets the fast forward. Hoovie though, you’re worth my time.
No, you wanted an aftermarket off road electric steering box. Lots more options, and they let you adjust the throw speed, plus it's just a 12v connection
i discovered you when you video about stolen ML was suggested to me back in the days.... it was a long journey.... i watched every single video since then....
I had to do a water pump on an 82 500 diesel Benz int it sounded just like the rolls pump lol as for the wagoneer holes, id just use over the counter screw grommets should be about $5-7 a box at the autoparts store. i had a similar issue with my 79 monti and they worked perfect.
I feel the Bentley is on the "Hoovie is over it" timer. At this point I am expecting the "I sold my Bentley Turbo R for a massive "Profit" video any day now.
I don't think Hoovie would want to burden anyone with that albatross of a car. I'm not a fan of the 'LS swap everything' crowd, but I could see that for this Bentley - essentially, eliminate all of the unreliable Bentley mechanical systems and replace with modern, albeit generic components. Preserve the luxury interior and ride quality, and make it driveable.
@@XxmatixX6videosdiariosdenadav I have no idea, but there's no law that says that the Wizard has to do it. Plenty of other automotive RU-vidrs in Wichita... And it doesn't have to be an LS, for that matter.
When i was a kid my family and i would go see our friends off southwest Harbor in maine and a couple times we rented a house on the island that came with a blue woody wagoneer to putt around in 😃
I love that Grand Wagoneer. But as a previous Wagoneer owner myself, here's some advice - SELL to the first moron that wants to buy it! That will save you countless hours of headache and heartache.
On the Maybach, I think I figured out how that damage was done. I saw similar damage from the back of a tractor-trailer bumper digging into the side of a car when it tried to navigate a street where it didn't belong.
Hoovie your passion for automotive masochism is admirable and entertaining but please for the love of everything that is holy kick that turbo r to the curb😂😂 It'll probably never run again without any leaks
@@mistersomaru I agree but finely people are coming around to them and are putting the money into them. Jay Leno & Harry Metcalf from Harry’s garage both own Espada’s. Also Tyrrells classic workshop is worth watching as he restores the more unusual Lamborghini’s plus he’s very knowledgeable.
That flattie ring failure was because of the old rebuild. The engine builder was up to one of two things. Either he did not end gap one ring set on one piston (did 7 of 8), or he was intentionally fitting tight gaps on all of them to get better mileage and reduce oil consumption ... Better hope for the first ... You romped on it with higher compression and more fuel delivery and that raised the combustion temp. The ring grew closed, got to tight, stuck, and broke. The tell tale was the piece of the piston ring land left over. To bad Wizard did not pop the rest while the motor was apart to check them all ... Could happen again ... Oh, and my favorite Hooptie will be that 1960's Jet Boat when you rescue it : D
I heard that the classic Mustang stearingbox is really inefficient. It’s pretty hard to turn the wheel so I can imagine that Tyler put a power steering unit into it. Although I have manual steering in my 54 Mercury. It’s heavy but not too bad
Country Squire; "I took it on a test drive and did a couple of harder accelerations....." Damn dude, when are you going to learn to stop treating the cars like crap.
What's the point of hot rodding (dual carbs, high compression heads) the motor if you don't want to feel it? I think the higher compression did the ring in so there may be more.
@@nperry106 The nearest I can write it would be Edin-burrah. I was told by an American tourist once that he was on his way to Edin'bro, I genuinely didn't have a clue where he meant.
Poor Hoovie, single handed he is able to keep the Wizard in business. We do not see to many other cars in the background in these videos. I’m sure that Wizard doesn’t care since he moves closer and closer to his island. Lol.
