I’m an English teacher, and my anxiety kicks in Sunday nights. It shuts me down to the point it feels debilitating. I love education, but it’s SO HARD. Thank you for being vulnerable!

I am so sorry you are going through this, I completely understand. I've had anxiety/panic disorder since I was a teenager, and it can be rough. You've taken all the right steps with starting therapy, meditation is great, something as simple as just checking in with yourself and your breath, doesn't have to be spiritual/religious, it can be if you want it to be, that also helps, but just checking in with yourself is a good way to help you calm down. Start writing a gratitude journal or any kind of journal will help. Avoid caffeine and excess sugar. There are natural supplements that can help such as vitamin d3, taking a b-complex supplement and magnesium before bed is good too. I would suggest seeing a naturopathic doctor to see if you have any vitamin deficiencies before you start taking supplements on your own. There are holistic remedies such as Bach Flower Rescue Remedy spray and Perelandra ETS (Emergency Trauma Solution) that can help get rid of the attack or at least take the edge off. Keep up with the therapy, talk to your husband, family and friends, you are not alone. This is very manageable and for many it does go away. When you are in the middle of an anxiety/panic attack, remember, you've been through this before and you survived, you will be okay. Brightest blessings to you Monica. 🙏

Thank you for your support! I’m takin vitamin D and b complex actually 😊 They have helped. It’s nice to see that it gets better with time and is easier to manage.

Dearest Monika- Thank you so much for sharing your struggle. I have dealt with anxiety all of my life. You are my favorite fragrance girl:) Just rest and take care of yourself! You are not alone! My mother passed last year and my anxiety has been off the charts along with the loneliness that I feel due to her absence. You don’t have to perform for anyone or have to live up to other peoples expectations. Take care of yourself, Darling. Like my mom used to say… “This too shall pass.” Love ya❤️

For me the change in the seasons, the sunsets earlier, and the dreadful daylight savings time, all get me anxious. I’m hanging in there and preparing mentally for this. I hope you will feel better soon Monika, your content helped through some difficult times believe it or not. 🙏

I can 100% relate! I have gone through this and still occasionally struggle, but now I have it under control. I know it's scary when you're going through it and yes it IS real. I have piece of paper that I always keep in my purse and it says 3 things that help me when I feel this way. 1.Accept these feelings without judgement, and let them pass 2.This feeling is only temporary. It WILLl go away 3.These are just thoughts. You are not your thoughts!

Thank you for sharing Monika. It's very brave. It seems like you're doing all the right things to work through this. Being open and sharing, therapy, meditation. Good for you! Yes, I agree we sometimes think others have the perfect lives. I never had much in the way of anxiety issues until the last two years just gave me too much to handle. My 19yo cat died, then my Dad died. The following year my boyfriend I was living with broke up. My son had a traumatic brain injury and a few weeks later my Mom died. Phew, just writing all that, it's a bit much😅 For me therapy, yoga and running helped a lot. You seem very sweet. I'm rooting for you😊

Thank you for sharing, Monica!❤️ I have struggled myself. What helps me is work outs, yoga and meditation. I also found different kinds of therapy helpful. To cry a lot, and to get help to understand why I felt so low. And to learn to take better care of myself. Take care- and like you say - time is on your side.

I went through similar issues from about age 23-33. Mine were deep but basically centered around trying to be what others expected me to be and the fear of being abandoned if I were to be myself. Whatever it is, you will get through it. Believe in you and don’t let others dictate who you are. Best wishes 😊

I had the same experience as yours, and I felt like I was going to die and that I was the only one like this. I stopped doing everything, from leaving the house, traveling, working, and all of this, but I learned many things and improved by giving myself the right to get sick and not confronting her with challenges and putting pressure on her, but rather accepting and going through the stage of anxiety gently and giving her her right. I simply changed my eating regimen and went for keto for a while and stopped listening to music that increases anxiety and went for sports, books, and walking in the sun. Then after I understood myself, I challenged myself and traveled and understood that anxiety, if you give it space, will take over you, and there is nothing wrong with it coming and you will live, and it will continue and go with time. Then I drank a baobab drink, and now my situation of coexistence, acceptance, and completing life with habit will go away, but it will return to positivity, so I will not let it hinder me 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Reading the Qur’an made me improve and change a lot👍🏻👍🏻

Many years ago, I too suffered terrible anxiety. I went to cognitive therapy for several years. I couldn’t do simple tasks at home, let alone go outside into the world. One of the most important things I was taught by my cognitive therapist was that attention can be directed internally or externally, and it can have a single focus or an open-field focus. When we focus attention on a single object again and again, such as the breath, we become calmer. That’s because we’re abandoning disturbing thoughts and stopping the mind from jumping around like a monkey. So, when I feel anxiety coming on, I will focus directly on each breath. Nothing else. Just my breath. Big long breaths, hold them for 30 seconds, slowly exhale and repeat. I hope you feel better soon. I love your openness and vulnerability. It’s wonderful to see.❤

Hi Monika thank you for sharing your story. That is very brave and helpful to others too. I'm 64 yrs old and can tell you there are many "seasons" in life. So don't worry, this season, like all seasons, didn't come to stay, it came to pass. Therapy is the best thing you can do, along with cleaning and exercising. What I found was that my brain was 95% working on something unbeknownst to me, and doing repetitive or "mindless" work allows the brain to focus on processing while your body "rests." I learned that in therapy, lol. You help others when you share and I've appreciated your candor and openness. Thanks for letting us know about the Armani lipstick too, as the pigment is just perfect! 🙂

I’m so grateful to you for being real and transparent! It makes you so relatable! I’m the same way, I have anxiety and depression (and other stuff) and it helps to know we’re not alone in it - because society sometimes makes us feel inadequate about these kinds of feelings. You said you’re better when cleaning - I think it’s normal, especially for us, introverts - physical activity helps us get out of our heads! I hope you’ll give yourself the time and care you need! Don’t even think about uploads and stuff like that, what matters most is that you’re ok! ❤

I went through a similar period to what you are describing. Very intense, debilitating anxiety. I was shocked when I found information that linked something in my diet to causing neurotoxic adverse reactions, one of which is anxiety. This was quite a few years ago now, and I hope most know that aspartame, ie., an artificial sweetener in many sugar free products is toxic by now, but I am aware that sadly there are even Doctors who are shills that ar paid to claim it is safe. I can say after what I went through, it is anything but. It not only was adversely impacting my mental health but my physical health (which I won't go into here unless you want me to) But, my best advice would be to make your diet as clean and organic as you can. This is not the only neurotoxin in our food, and some people are highly sensitive to them without knowing it. I was blown away by what removing this from everything I consumed did. After detoxing for a period of months, my anxiety was not only better, it was virtually gone. That is not to say that I wouldn't have had any anxiety without this neurotoxin, but it greatly exacerbated what would have otherwise been manageable anxiety. So, to me, you seem so healthy and aware, and I'm sure you check labels and try to be healthy, but I had done the same, and this stuff lurks in products under other names because the manufacturer knows people try to avoid it. If you are interested, I can either send you the names or a link to information on this. It's very late and so as not to bombard you further, I'll await a response to see if you are interested. You are so lovely and I love your perfume videos. I would be pleased to repay all of your valuable info in helping you with this. Oh, the other thing that helped to detox faster was lots of cardio in order to sweat it out of tissues, and supplements such as COQ10 which crosses the blood brain barrier and helps to clean this stuff out faster. I hope you are doing so much better by this time though.

Hey! I have been struggling for years and this disorder never left me for 100% but it’s so much better now after the therapy . It’s Cognitive behavioral therapy that helped so much with my condition. I don’t want to use the word miracle cause there is no such a thing . This therapy demands work from you cause you are the only person who can fix it but it can change your current condition dramatically and teach you how to change the way of thinking and acting everything which bring us to such anxiety, panic attacks , phobias and fears, depressive moods and etc. Whatever you choose to do I wish you strength!❤

I have anxiety regarding certain matters, and it has helped me in my life that I can share what they are with others. I think it also helped others to share with them my humanness. You will be OK, my darling. Anxiety comes from fear of the future. I have experienced fear of the future, Anxiety, and anguish of the past, depression. Your body is teaching you something you will be OK just find Counselling even here on RU-vid, that will ground you into the moment. And help you understand why you have anxiety. Perhaps the wrong place the wrong person, the wrong time, even traveling can disrupt our grounding. Just for your information, I purchased Amouage Guidance because of your beautiful suggestions. Can't wait to try it. I will send angels your way love

When other people cant help us or even understand us especially in this anxiety context, nature does. Always bring ourselves back to nature, monika. Thats how i deal with it at least. The sound of river, went for hiking, having some cigar on top of view while waiting for sunrise is amazing to calm me down. Anyway, we here always hope you gonna be okay in the future. oh, darling :( please look up the health factors, my anxiety started to disappear when I tackled some genetic (and absolutely not rare) problems, like mthfr and comt mutations. with b-vitamins, changed diet (according to my intolerances). it's pretty likely you don't have to suffer. the second relieving came in my case when I started removing heavy metals from my system. so... a whole lot of times it's absolutely not in your head. and not even because of traumas or emotional things. hugs

Apart from the myriad of normal reasons for anxiety, another one to consider is hormone levels. As women we go through moments of change and particularly if you may have recently stopped taking estrogen. The pill. Lack of estrogen can cause a massive drop in serotonin, the happy hormone. Like I said other reasons out of your control that happen can contribute of course. Wishing you all the best. Life can be up and down. ❤

When you mentioned living with this it struck me how overwhelming this feels! I too suffer from anxiety and also have depression. I have spent years on medication and recently felt like I might have a grip on managing without medication. I would not stop my medication without therapy though. Here are a few coping strategies I recommend magnesium (in US product called Calm), exercise ( I try lol), 5 sense exercise and doing math or a puzzle (trick your mind into focusing on something else). I hope this helps ❤

Anxiety is a real, medical issue. It doesn’t get better for some, until they get medical help. I know several people who take medication for anxiety. They’ve all said they wished they started taking medication sooner. It takes a month for the body to adjust, but after that, they’ve all told me they feel “normal”, and it’s a huge relief. Some situations need medical help and therapy. Most people don’t feel anxiety often, and to the depths that someone with anxiety feels. Not everyone is dealing with trauma. These are unique, very unfortunate experiences that need help. You deserve to feel happy! Good luck! 💐

After I had my kids 31 it chilled a bit then came back! I finally got meds when I was 38. Looking back? Of course life changes brain chemical but I think for women? Especially it’s almost like an over abundance of adrenaline if that makes sense ? I’m also going to see an endocrinologist….hugs

Hey Monika. My heart goes out to you. At 30 I started to experience full blown panic attacks. It was intrusive and debilitating for a while. YOU WILL LIVE THROUGH THIS 100%. I can seem like life and death… but I PROMISE… it can be conquered. It will be with you all your life… BUT IT WILL DIMINISH. Therapy is the BEST MEDICINE. Start out talking to someone EVERY WEEK… then you will be able to dial back after a couple months. Medication can help if it’s extreme. But therapy will literally let you deal with it WHENEVER it rears it head. I cannot stress opening up to a therapist about your fears enough. Do not procrastinate. See therapy through weekly for as long as you can. Even if it’s a year. Your feelings will tell you when to dial back therapy to bi monthly or monthly for maintenance later.
@christopherduda7281

I should add. I had a RU-vid channel for 3 years and had to take the last year off - my anxiety is under control… but the channel was exhausting physically. You will feel like yourself again. 100%. So true. God is our best friend. But first you have to believe in him. Hopefully there is a Church close by where she lives

What helped me the most was diving into nervous system regulation and making that a top priority. Also focusing on supporting adrenals and really just slowing down. Creating a practice where you tend to the inner child in you that is scared and reparenting her through the fear.

I'm sure everyone has said everything i could. I have had "manageable" anxiety my whole life. I thought it was normal, like you. But it isn't. I found Western medication to be my answer, but lifestyle changes really do help. Having an animal helps - they love without caring if you feel competent or fulfilled. Maybe a new art or craft would help--my thoughts are helpd by knitting or spinning wool. I look forward to hearing about your journey. Also, I'm Swedish-American, and i love The Nature in my ancestral land, and yours is just as glorious!

Hi Monika! I wanted to let you know that I don't see anything weird or "just anxious" about you. In fact, you might be autistic and neurodivergent. I say this because I am also neurodivergent and I understand the struggles that come with it. Our societies often don't provide the necessary support for people like us, which can lead to anxiety and other mental health issues. But please know that you are not alone and there are others who understand. I truly hope you are receiving the support and love you deserve from your loved ones. You are a beautiful, lovely, and awesome person, and I believe in your strength to navigate through life. Don't hesitate to reach out if you ever need someone to talk to or just to remind you of how amazing you are. Take care

Not attempting to lecture or gods forbid diagnose you, so don’t take offence please. Living in chronic anxiety and stress will eventually culminate in a form of nervous breakdown, which is nothing other than your body/mind telling you I’ve had enough and somethings got to change. So please treat this difficult time as a me-time, self-discovery time. It will all be ok again. 😊

Be proud of yourself for seeking help! Still so much absurd stigma around mental health topics- people acting like we should all be able to just 'power through' or that willpower will fix any issues. Mental health is a chemical imbalance issue, just like diabetes. No one tells a diabetic that they can 'power through' without their insulin, so why does society expect the same of mental health issues?? Thank you so much for sharing!!

Just a tip you guys might want to try, don't drink caffeine or reduced your intake to very little. It's worth a try as its definatley help me. You can get caffeine free tea bags and coffee.

I highly recommend taking non-fortified nutritional yeast and drinking plain kefir daily. Anxiety could be related to a vitamin b1 deficiency and/or gut-related issues. Wish you all the best.

Hi Monika. I have very mentally draining job in healthcare and I noticed that sometimes I was choosing side cleaning job to recharge my batteries. Sometimes I need job that doesn't require mental engagement for my own sanity.
