This is something that will be here forever. Because, according to the Constitution Act 1982, a bar has been set to removing the monarchy, so high that it's now as difficult as nailing jelly to a tree. According to the Constitution amending formula in this act, major amendments to the constitution, such as dealing with the monarchy, require unanimous consent from all 11 governments of Canada (the federal government and 10 provincial governments). But this isn't something anyone can expect to see so easily and quickly, because all governments of Canada couldn't even agree on the colour of sky, let alone be the topic of such Constitutional changes. Furthermore, there are many treaties in this country, with the indigenous people for instance, which are in the name of the crown, not the government or the country, that further cements on their existence here. Thus, most of the political experts have labelled not only the abolishing of Canadian monarchy, but infact any further changes to the constitution from as it is as 'practically impossible', and estimated a minimum 95% chance this will never happen here.
