You seem cool AF too me too. I have also lived with PCOS since I was about 16 years old. I'm 50 now, and stopped caring about shaving/ plucking etc around age 40. I'm jealous as hell. At best, my beard is patchy and very short, but I grow full facial hair, cheeks, chin, jawline, neck, etc Love your attitude and positive outlook! You are inspirational!

what percent of PCOS causes facial hair? Just curious

@@Kevin-co7dr I'm not really sure. PCOS is actually a cluster of symptoms, with each person's experience of symptoms being slightly different. Male pattern hair growth, difficulty/ inability to lose weight, diabetes, and fertility difficulties are probably the most common symptoms, but the severity of symptoms can still vary considerably. I grow considerably more facial hair than many women, and I am now fully insulin dependent. However, at my heaviest, I got up to about 50 pounds overweight, and today am able to maintain a healthy without much struggle. Many PCOS sufferers despite their best efforts, struggle to even stay out of the obese range. So my hair growth and diabetes is worse than some, but my struggle with weight is far easier than some.

I also tried to left my beard grow in pandemic (I'm also a cis woman), but my beard grows like a teenage boy and looks weird 😅 Very jealous of her beard and she looks so fancy with it.

You can (if you want) to use minoxidil to shape your facial hair. It works for eyebrows too. It takes a long time, but it works.

PCOS is hard to treat. Not much can be done. Have the shave. Hair removal is hit or miss. A friend of mine has this. She shaves

There are different types of PCOS. I wonder which subtype she has. Is it the testosterone producing one? I feel like I got lucky that mine was not because the facial hair drives me nuts. That she embraced it is phenomenal.

I am was thin with PCOS and a little facial hair on my chin I shave. Don’t miss periods but that doesn’t mean ovulation is happening every month.

@@bridaw8557 my weight fluctuates but realized my PCOS seems to heavily diet-based, and I think that in general, that PCOS has a lot to do with diet more than weight. I have too much facial hair like a goatee but it doesn't grow like it used and is much thinner because I changed my diet. Sugar is the culprit I think
