Hi everyone, if you like the fat tyre bike I'm using in the video, check out Cyrusher, who kindly sent me their Ovia ebike! :) They also gave me a discount code 'RU-vid80' to share with you for 80 USD/GBP/EUR off your purchase. The links to the website are in the description box! Thanks, Cyrusher!
Rosie, your bike is a real vehicle! Your new window is such a great accomplishment, it will keep you warm this winter, also it will serve you longer! 🎉
You drone footage is incredible, having it hover over you while you pack up the tent, or cycling along the trails. I’ve always enjoyed the aerial views of your cottage & the surrounding forest, but this bike trip was so beautiful. The ebike went so well, I was wondering of the battery would get you home, or if you had to charge it when you came to the small town .. amazing that you didn’t have to. A great review on the bike … and great jib on that window 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
As a Swede, I just love your footage of the forests and the lakes in this film of yours. It's showing the beauty of the Swedish countryside, and how welcoming and inviting it is, thanks to Allemansrätten. You can set up a tent wherever you like for 24 hours, without asking the owner of the property, pick berries and mushrooms, and just enjoy the wildlife. It's remarkable and beautiful, and a lawful right for everyone.
I am so unfamiliar with RU-vid and am visiting my daughter and son in law in China, and as she is away during the days, I started watching RU-vid and stumbled upon your channel quite by chance. I am entranced! Being an avid watcher of home improvement shows on mainstream TV, I can 100% say that the Hollywood posers are just that, they have all the bells and whistles and the contractors doing the actual hard work. You dear Rosie are a natural, not only doing all your own work but your video editing and honest to goodness approach to every little task at hand fills me with pride for you and what you are achieving! I look forward to your future adventures :-)
Rosie, you have mastered filming and editing, it is such a pleasure to watch your videos. The music also is the perfect combination with the images. And you, the way you deal with your work. I don’t understand how you haven’t got millions of subscribers! Thanks for sharing, I almost cry when the video finishes. I can’t wait for the next one (no pressures 😂😂
I feel the same ...I was an opera singer many years ago and the music in you tube films are so important in relation to the content...Rosie, you are consistently a spot on master in your music/instrumental choices...they are a perfect pairing to your ....well all ur incredibly artistic approach in film and editing and voice overs.. your honestly and realness is so beautiful.. again thankyou for sharing your thoughts, projects, and bespoke life!!!
Want to say thank w. I suffer from a bit intense anxiety and your videos calm and recenter me like no other. I am grateful for your willingness to bring us along on this grand adventure of yours. Cheers and hugs from the upper left of the US. Bless.
It is just amazing how good you and/or your drone is at filming. For example that morning when you were gathering water from the lake and the drone was zooming out when you returned to the tent or when you wer cycling by the lake and the drone was following you from the side. It is really great footage and I guess it requires a lot of thought, effort and programming the drone.
On old windows, if you first brush linseed oil on the wood panes, the putty will work better. Putty tends to pull oil from old wood, so if you first apply linseed oil before the putty, it will last longer and crack less.
I so love your adventurous spirit, I used to live in the Colorado mtns when I was your age, in a darling little cabin...I could've used your bike back then...I too am renovating my windows, a tough job for my old fingers, but I love to stay busy in my old home and I love decorating it, your home is adorable as is the guest house, you've done a great job...I do miss living in the country...have fun on your next jaunt brave girl...!
Anything worth doing is worth doing right. Taking the windows out was a good choice. Have fun with your bike! Thanks to Cyrusher for sending it to her!!
What a wonderful gift. Oftentimes a break is just what we need to recharge when we are in the middle of a massive project. I've been at my place for 5 years and give you so much credit for what you've accomplished.
Dear Rosie, thank you so much for bringing us along on your journey ❤ You have inspired me to try out hiking. So now I am preparing for my first 4 days trip - can’t wait to embark on my first little adventure. Much love from Denmark ❤
I will be hiking on the Gendarme Path which is 84 km along the coastline and the border to Germany. It will be my very first hiking trip and also the first time sleeping alone in a tent (well my dog will be there so I don’t get too scared 😉).
It can be overwhelming doing everything alone without help. I'm in the same boat but i would never have the courage to renovate on my own. Im lucky to paint a wall. You're an intrepid woman. ❤
Your video came just in time. I was checking few days ago and I was kind a sad there wasn't anything new from you. I love your beautiful soul and brave heart. Truly enjoy what you do. It is is like you are part of my life . Thank you .
Sat here from my living room in Iceland wanting to do exactly what you are doing. Ones travelled all over Sweden back in 1995 and totally fell in love with it. Your content makes me believe that I too can do what you do. Thank you
Hi Rosie, in my opinion your Garden is great. Its pure nature and this is so damn important for our Environment, for the animals, the insects. In germany we have an association called Natur Garten e.V.. This people create green biotops and oasises in their gardens with the aim to make habitats for living beings with got rare in our nature, because we humans take their natural livingrooms. So I really like your „messy“ Garden and don‘t see it negative, more like a very untouched home Forum Little important companions. And who knows - maybe you will explore meetings with the beautiful, rare ones, that most people won‘t. ;)
Rosie .. this was worth waiting for. Your artistry shone through from your window rehab to the drone footage and editing. We see only a fraction of the work you do .. but gosh I'm so impressed. Your drone was the best thing you've ever gotten!! Such an added dimension. I wait eagerly for the next instalment 😊
Wow, technically I have no clue how you film all this. I’m a senior and even though I think of myself as I “with it” senior I wish I had the where with all to be BRAVE like you. You rock and I love being a part of this Utube family. You go girl!!!!
The new bike is one I have been looking at - and I know it has a "walk" mode so you can set it to go really slow while you walk beside it to hold it up so you can get out of / into tricky spots so you are not doing all the work yourself pushing etc.
I'm so glad to see you working on your sleeping space. The windows turned out great! That bike that was gifted is perfect for your needs and playtime. Enjoy!
Good job on that window. Everything you do, you do so well. I'm so glad that you got to go on a little adventure trip! What a lovely bike. I'm sure that will make it easier when you have to pick up supplies at the hardware store and have a long hard ride! Kudos to the folks at Cyrusher! Now I wish I had one of those bikes too to go and exploring in my rural area!

36:00 some tips: 1) Hold the spatel flat against the glass, tilt it 45 degrees and use the left side edge of it against the paste, doing so cleans up the scrap on the glass at the same time. 2) The chalk-paste you can buy is never nice, to hard / to soft / weird ingredients. Just buy linseed oil and chalk at the paint shop and mix it to the consistence that works best for you. 3) Such a classic window should also be continued by painting it with traditional linseed oil based paint, hence, buy pigments mix with the oil. Be sure to paint over the chalk paste otherwise it will be eaten up by birds.
Yeah Rosie, what a blessing to get a electric bike to help you get around, you are doing awesome with your home. Love your videos, keep them coming. It's nice to stop what your doing and take a break from your job and renovating and just get a complete change of scenery, with that you recharge yourself which is so important.
What a wonderful video. You're extremely good at filming nature: your shots are fantastic. The windows are looking amazing. I really look forward to your uploads x
Hi Rosie, what you're saying earlier is the planning fallacy. Do remember what's urgent is seldom important and what's important is seldom urgent, that way you can be optimistic but realistic at the same time. It helps if you can look at your ride not as a break but a reward for yourseif and I do the same thing a lot. Hey! I want to ride your bicycle, I want to ride your bike... thumb's up !
Thank you Rosie...I needed this reminder this morning. Of life. Of peace and contentment. Of work done well. Of nature's beauty. I found my eyes welling up with tears and longing while watching this. Thank you 🫂
I moved back in with my elderly father and pretty much inherited his fat tire ebike and I have to say it is my most prize possession, especially since I don’t have a car. Congratulations! I knew you would love it. 🎉❤
Hey, snazzy bike 🏍️!! I miss your earlier upload time on Sunday, not sure if it's deliberate or not but I used to have my Sunday morning coffee and watch your video.. now I am rushing about trying to get tidy before the evening and then feel guilty for stopping. Anyhoo up to you obvs.. 😊 keep going you motivate me too 🧚♀️🦄✌️
I also prefer an earlier upload, but I'm afraid I just don't really manage to get it up here any earlier... I edit on Saturdays and then for example, this video was uploading for 14 hours! So I've given up on a set time haha
@@wildrosie no worries I thought was probably the case. Good luck with the windows they will look great I think, mine are terrible too so you have inspired me cos only one side opens and I want both to open have been thinking about seeing if I could take fixed one out and stick it on hinges, now I might 🤔 I had slight Fawlty towers vibes for some reason when you were taking the window out not sure why, might be b4 your time. "Manwell, Manwell" 😂
Im an old Worry Wart. When i saw you setting up tent i was concerned that White Awesome Bike could be seen so easily, stolen. I was wondering if they make a black weatherproof cover you could zip over it to protect from weather & perhaps not be sooo visable. If bigger tent, you could put INSIDE!! 82 & Love your videos, YOU really could be a Brand because you are so unique in living an Organic life!! You have a Natural Ability to market items that are appealing to many ages. I love the way you make your own clothes, sit on a cover on the grass to eat your healthy lunches prepared so beautifully! You are a Breath of Fresh Air!! ❤grma Nan
You won't regret doing a thorough job on each window. It would have been much harder to do the insides and then later do the outsides. You may get fewer windows done this season, but if you do all the windows in one room, at least that room will be more comfortable in the winter. And when you're in there, you won't be seeing windows that still need doing. When you're doing a renovation as complete as yours, it gets to be important to have at least one room you can be in where you're free from the overbearing feeling that you NEED to be doing something to fix it. At least one room where you can relax, and pat yourself on the back. So glad for the freedom your little bike gives you!
You've been working so hard for so long, it's important to take breaks like this. What you've accomplished during your time at this little house is amazing.
I really admire you. Tenacity. Where did you learn all those skills. Obviously you have amazing parents who support you. You are very meticulous. GOD bless
I really like how you took the windows off and restored them. Were these windows ever meant to open? Your grass is becoming a beautiful meadow, beneficial to insects, pollinators and small critters; it’s lovely. I absolutely love your little bike, what fun excursions you will have!
this video has turned into one of my favourite videos that you made, i loove that your doing things inside, and those chippy windows, and the new bike for you, i want one too!! and the short trip by the lake, seeing houses, and your camping gear, i watched this video twice❤from sheboygan, wisconsin {x tina} p.s. you need a garden layout plan, and seasonal calendar, and something to cut up the grass with, and to break down the trees, for a fire inside.
Your so deserving of the Electric Bicycle! Congratulations. Now you will be able to go and do more things that are enjoyable. Thanks for sharing. Great job on all your hard work.
Wonderful film Rosie..Really missed you last week but what a gift you have given us. How it's changed over there!..The light is so lovely as are the trees...Awesome and exciting. Thanks!
When you opened up that bike, I was thrilled for you! What an excellent gift! It will make your trips to get wood easier. When you went solo biking and hiking, I worried for you. I am really enjoying your vids. You are an all-around talented woman.
Love that you took time to explore! When you work hard that's the thing that rewards your efforts. There needs to be a balance between work and play! So happy you were given this new bike! It's so cute and fits your lifestyle perfectly! Enjoy the next trip as we enjoy your renovation videos! I'm looking forward to seeing some garden content as well! Choosing Joy ~ Stephanie, NJ zone 7a
Great to see a new video. I enjoyed your camping trip, the area is lovely. Thank you for showing us around and good luck with your further renovations 🙏
Your fat tire bike is so cool, and it must be perfect for you when you are shopping both groceries and building materials. I am so happy for you !! I love your videoes !!
Oh, you know its gonna be a goood project when you take a step back, realise what you are doing and then just laugh! :) Great job, your videoes are both calming and funny all in one! :)
Lovely ride! Thanks for taking us along. Give yourself some grace regarding the gardens. You're in the middle of creating them. They will be established soon enough. Besides, you live in the midst of beauty ❣️
❤Hello Rosie You are such an inspiration to me. I am 55, recently divorced and looking for a piece of property that I can make my own. Watching you gives me such expectation and excitement for what I can do with my place. Lets not forget all of the knowledge that you are giving me. I so look forward to your videos. Your the best. Take care sweetie. Be safe on your bike ride. I dont bike however; I would imagine that I will be doing a lot of fishing and hunting in between working on my house. Lol. (Yes, I am woman however I love to fish and hunt. Lol ) gardening, herbs, fruit trees and flowers are a must. Lol. I truly appreciate you Rosie. Thank you for sharing. God bless. ❤
Hello Rose, you are working so profoundly with so many attention in all what you do. You are an exemple for all women do trust in oneself. Thank so much.
Ask Cyrusher if you could get an extra battery. Also, try to find places where you can recharge the battery. It can be supermarkets, train stations, public buildings, or gas stations whatever. Just ask them. Cheers 🙂
For stripping the windows non-chemically: get a heat gun! Applying heat and using a good scraper and i bet most of the paint will come right off. I used it for the stairs in my house which were covered in paint and carpet clue and it was a process but the end result is very nice!
Rosie, I've been watching your videos... which I love because they are so peaceful, and I love renovation videos, too. I'm an avid gardener, and was thinking about the flowers you tried to grow, with no success. May I suggest plant wildflower seeds for that region. I looked online, and there are plenty of beautiful wildflowers that are native to your area of Sweden, in pinks, purples, yellows, whites. Broadcast spread them onto the areas you want, but more densely than they would grow if the seeds were just carried on the wind or by birds. You have lovely, open areas of your property that would make lovely little wildflower meadows too! The nice thing about wildflower seeds is that they are very cheap to buy too. ❤
It would be awesome if you could have a way to recharge the battery while you were out on an adventure so you could explore further. Loved this episode and the window looks so much better.
Love that bike! The eBike looks more like a modernized moped -- so cool. Perfect for you. Please use two locks wrapped around each wheel and a sturdy narrow object when you walk away from it. Your eBike is so irresistible that some sneaky person will break your heart by stealing your bike quickly even in the woods or forest on your hiking explores.
That was such a lovely video Rosie! Every time I saw water, I thought, any minute now, Rosie is going swimming! But maybe the water is too cold? Now I think you need some kind of small pond on your property, water just makes a place feel so good. Windows look amazing!
I think that is so awesome that they sent you the bike. It encourages me to think about getting one. I was a bit wary but I love your honest reviews I’m loving your channel. I watch something everyday. You also inspire me to want to try to build something myself. Your property is looking great. Loving your sewing projects as well
