Considering how difficult it is to create a flawless stop motion, you have done a wonderful job! I would like to see such beautiful creations in the coming future. you've earned my subscription. Kudos!
Bailey Salvatore it took a year to develop and prep, 3 months to build the puppets, 6 months of animation & then post work. Close to 3 yrs of work. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--5NGdvN42YY.html
You are welcome, I definitely think stop motion was a good choice for this story. The style feels slightly creepy, while sticking to being cute and whimsical. The story feels like it is something that should be on TV as a cartoon short for Halloween.
It takes a lot of various skills to bring together a quality animation, even stop animation. While some people have the wide range of skills that are necessary to produce quality stuff on their own it is much easier working as a team (not to mention it's a lot more fun to bring a bunch of idea together and get multiple viewpoints)
Great job Greg & team! I like how his fears are just the things around him, toys etc. Represents taking something good & letting your mind turn it into something bad. Fight it!
This is up there with all other stop motion nightmare before Christmas stuff in tone and obvious talent. Not surprised by film festivals since they just want something new even if something old is done well it's never going to be as popular as what's trendy. Pixar animation style is the safe bet
I must say, this is absolutely incredible. The content, the animation, the music, literally everything about it. I'm just watching his cape sway seamlessly, and I just can't believe that it's in stop motion. I really need this to go viral or something.
I cant imagine the patience needed to do stop motion animation. This is done incredibly well and I can only imagine it will be a matter of time before it gets recognized. Great work!
I was so pumped to see this actually come to fruition. It's impossible NOT to be a fan of Greg's work. When I first got back into doing Art around '05, after a 7 yr. hiatus of wasted time, I remember seeing his work then. I'd seen only his graffiti up until that point... It's amazing to see how far he's come! CONGRATULATIONS GREG! Such a good dude! I knew he'd be successful! There are so many talented individuals who don't make it, often b/c the business side is something that far too many Artists have a difficult time with... Craola has found the proper balance of creating phenomenal work & having a family! Not easy to do!!
Oh absolutely! I've been a massive fan of Craola for so many years and seeing Ralf actually brought to life with so much hard work behind the scenes was so incredible! The little guy's exactly how I imagined him all these years :)
I love that the robot looks like Rosie from the Jetsons. This entire thing is amazing to watch. Loved the bit with Ted. Crumbs simply waves hi at him and Ted waves back.
Thanks so much!! It was so much fun to make. Check out the Robot's legs next time you watch through. There's a lot of little details in that are so much fun to find!!
Definitely got the Vincent time burton feel but even better , especially with all the Simkins art brought to life 10 out of 10 for sure . Now start a full film haha
Absolutely Brilliant, loved the animation the story being told and the musical score. you guys have put together a very amazing bit of work. Well done.
I fierst thought this was going to be something a guy made in his basement but the credits at the end tell the story of all the people who worked on it and why it so damn good! This is great I watched the whole thing with glee!
We had the most amazing crew of people!! All of which took on this project out of love for the artist and the whole concept. Thanks for watching and appreciating all that hard work.
As someone scared of the dark (as a kid, not now I swear!) this was gorgeous :) Structure wise, it did seem to drag on and only climax at the end, and the music is maybe a little uninteresting (but charming) - excellent film! Doesn't feel little at all
