As a big Final Fantasy fan, I swear playing the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy is a better use of my time than listening to rage-baiting grifters online.

Sorry Ryan, I do ever so slightly disagree with you here. Gaming is not dead or dying, but you can't tell me that the AAA landscape isn't heading for a crash with the overwhelming amount of layoffs occurring, the ridiculous amounts of freaking money these companies are spending on games that people don't want that they're not buying (Suicide Squad lost Warner Bros 200m dollars FFS), and the seemingly INFINITE amount of greedy antics that these companies are employing. Hell EA is talking about putting freaking ads in their games and most people are choosing to spend their time playing older games over consuming the new stuff, so yea I can see a crash incoming, on the AAA side because it's just not sustainable. Now having said that, I don't want to leave on a negative note so I will say that the indie market is king and it is THRIVING. You'll find absolutely no shortage of fun, creative, innovative, awe-inspiring, awesome games no matter what genre you're into. Like there really is something for everyone. Btw, I had some buddies on Discord showing me Granblu Fantasy: Relink and now I really want to play it. I actually want to start getting a bit more into RPGs because these games have such incredible stories and such fantastical worlds that I'm starting to feel like I'm just missing out.

It's gonna last awhile then people are gonna find a new Helldivers 2 to champion for no reason again. While I love Helldivers 2, it ain't gonna change the gaming industry. Heck, game ain't even perfect on all aspects, especially the balancing team for the game.

While the titles of some RU-vid videos can be interpreted as misleading, I don't think anyone, content creator or viewer, actually believes that there are no other good games on the market. Most of these misleading titles are probably referring to big name, big publisher games that have turned out to be lackluster on release. I think it's worth pointing out that there's plenty of publicity and discussion around other good games, and I highly doubt that goes unnoticed by most gamers. And if people aren't willing to look for something they like, then they deserve to be miserable.

There's lazy, and then there are the painfully lazy rage baiters that makes your balls shrink back into your body. In all seriousness, honestly, I thought HD2 would really drop by large pecentages due to the PSN BS since the people involved in it wanted to have an easier time banning people. At least the damage didn't make them bleed out that much.

For the “first good live service game in years” stuff, the reason you’ll not see Fortnite or Genshin be bought up is because the former has a hatred online for the popularity of battle passes, and the ladder is often called a “gatcha game”, although I haven’t played Genshin so I can’t confirm how true that is.

Preaching to the choir here but Hades 2 just released its Early Access and its almost already as big as OG Hades. With so many stablished studios pushing out stuff like Shadow of the Erdtree and florishing communities around small projects like Raw Metal, INDUSTRIA or Mother Hub, its impossible for me to call the VG space dead. The problems with the industry are the same as with movies and music.

Aside from the facts that you are pulling up here, i just find it pretty disgusting that Helldivers 2 is being praised as the game that can do no wrong and yet we are here with a game that runs absolutely abhorrent on many different machines but all sharing the same problem. Way to high GPU utilisation and way to little frames in return. We are having people who run a 12K/7800X3D, 64GB of ram and a 4080/90 and they cant get the game running on decent settings and that is on 2k res or even 1080p and medium settings. The game at its core is great, but the fact that it runs this inconsistent is a huge nono for many and somehow, nobody talks about this, none of these disingenuous ass crawlers are talking about it and when you bring it up they ignore it so their own little world doesnt shatter. The game needs more than a few patches to run as it is advertised across the board and i really envy everyone who has the luck to not have these problems or the hardware to brutforce past the problems...

I will say that I honestly think Helldivers is one of the best games we've gotten in a long ass time But that is not to say that there hasn't been a trend of good games becoming popular and, being good. The 2010s are over

I don't watch any of these people. The only folks I pay attention to take a while between uploads because they actually take their time to fairly analyze the games they want to cover. Heck, all the hyperbole about Helldivers 2 "doing live service right" surely aged like milk after it got removed from non-PSN regions even after Sony retracted the requirement for it, including where I live. And now they're doing it for more of their games. At least Sony's BS saves me money for a ton of other great games whose publishers aren't complete idiots.

Well, none of the games over the last couple years have hit like HD2 at least for me. You get mad adrenaline rushes from the game by design. I will admit Valheim, Palworld and Satisfactory have also really stood out for being what they are.

As someone who loved Helldivers 1, I can almost guarantee none of these Grifters even played it. Helldivers 2 is great, but all its potential was already achieved in Helldivers 1. It's a damn fine sequel, though.

honestly i dont get what people saw in helldivers 2, i liked the first one and this seems like a fun online game which is good but i dont see whats mind blowing about it maybe im bias against live service games even good one since i rather play offline single player ( like edf ). i agree there are a-lot of fun games this year.

To be honest.... I have to agree with these people. After playing helldivers, literally every other game just feels meh to me, and if not meh, actively dislike. I only really like a handful of games in these past few years, and most of those handful arent good enough for me to want to blow any money on them Also, helldivers is objectively a good live service. Its not live service to make money, its live service because the devs care. Fortnite, apex, especially genshin are extremely predatory games. Nobody is being misled, if someone is enjoying a game theyre not gonna be looking for new games. If they arent, they're gonna look for new ones. He's acting like these RU-vidrs are actively preventing these games from being seen. If a game js good, but as like no players, maybe consider that its not because of all these RU-vidrs, its because its just you who likes the game and not the general populous These people aren't doing harm and spreading propaganda that everyone is falling for, you give zero proof thay anything these people say actually matter. It's people talking about why they think helldivers is so big, or people trying to milk views, perhaps even both. If anything, he's the one spreading propaganda here, these people are doing nothing wrong.

Glad i could share whats been going on on the server and i've said this before to other a little bit but to say it here i honestly think helldivers 2 is basically the godzilla minus one of video games mainly due to most people can't go in talking about the game without taking shots and shade at other game franchises like halo, call of duty, fortnite, and gaming as a whole in general And while the hyperbolism with the gaming community with this game is annoying im still interested in playing the game as long as i don't give the crazy side of it attention and just play the game And unlike the gaming community i actuall appreciate games on there own merits and for what they are in a normal way and theres like you said other good games out there this year outside of helldivers 2 I mean rock and stone anyone?

Yeah i can agree with this, Rpg segment is amazing rn... as a racing game fan also, holy fuck its a wasteland. It fells like thx to AAA, everything thats not a shooter or has "RPG mechanics" does not exist in that sector. However the Indie devs and the games that come out are way better quality then those games cause here is the thing, they gather to their niche and fan base, and do that job really good. After 50 hours in HD2 in saw evertyhing so iam done with the game, i rather make my 7 Witcher or cp2077 run, or dive back into my unfinished pile of pokemon Rom hacks. And yes the rom hacks fans but out are 10 times better then any switch release but people be people. So summed up, find your genre, find what you enjoy and play thoose game, i literally know people that play always the same shit and complain cause blance bad, ehh money passes usw, wll play games that dont have thoose.

An even more fun game to play is how many were good vs how many sucked, went woke or were massive disappointments lol. Warhammer 3 and Hogwarts Legacy were good and decent... My boyfriend would add Armor Core and Elden Ring to that list. Mostly we play older games and yeah, modern games are an absolute meme with few exceptions. Almost everything on those lists did suck... Except 1 or 2... Which says a lot in perspective. We have saved a lot of money though, so who knows where the video games are getting all this money... Must be all the battle passes, subs, tiers, season passes, cash shops and live services and gachas. Do they include money made from the scam games on patreon and DEI pay offs and corporate buy outs and copy rites and licenses as well?
