Btw for the first tutorial, it is better to do two circles because of the cranium but it depends on your art style and how you proportion your drawings (if you don’t know what the cranium is then it is the bones in the head that protect the brain and it causes the head to stick out in the back a bit)

So the two circles, Ethan Becker covered it AGES ago when doing a Ross draws break down, thinking of the cranium of a very squished cylinder, ie thinking of it in a 3d space when drawing anything other then flat front on views, he explains it soooooo much better then the tick took did lol

Tracing as a practice and studies for training muscle memory is okay, I've done it. But always tracing for every art won't make you improve that much tbh 🕊🕊🕊

I agree! Tracing can help just for practice and learning to draw certain things so you can then do them from memory, but directly tracing to the point it’s essentially stealing and not actually wanting to improve ain’t it at all
