I'm sorry but its time for the crazy German shepherd puppies to go. We are moving the puppies to a different location because they are out growing their nesting box and starting to stink up the house lol.
We already have a puppy meal let's have 20 more this year in 20 more next year and I bet you sell them you just don't give them away because you have such a big heart @@KeepingItDutch
@@denisekirkpatrick7565 you have a puppy meal? Eww, you eat dogs. What a triggered snowflake demonrat. Don't like it, don't watch. There is a very specific reason he bred her. That's non of your business though
Those puppies are Butter Balls!!! They are so cute!!!! Like the set-up. Gabby can still warn you if something going on outside and still be a wonderful Mommy.
😢😥🥺😮🤓😎 I love all dogs!!! They will always show all true love to Dogs. Our love is to have DOGS they give us in their food. unconditional Dogs are a gift from GOD from home to food that are not good food for them.
Why don't you leave the kennel door open and put a bale across the doorway to keep the puppies in. That way gabby can join the puppies or leave completely.
My sister knows how your wife feels. She cleaned up for our 6 GSDs. It was a smelly mess. You need to make sure that the temperature is at least 60 degrees. If not they will get sick. Next week you need to keep Gabby from feeding them. She needs to dry up. The puppies have got all the immune factors from Gabby so they do not need to nurse. They look great for 5 week old puppies. They are going to be healthy. I would keep the runt. Over the last 25 years and many GSD puppies I have raised, the runts seem to turn out the best.
So happy you are putting them in the garage, when had a litter of puppies I used shaving in my garage for bedding. I used to clean their bed area with a rack like you clean a horse stall. My MoMA dog was happy too. Great setup you have there😁👍💞
Our female dog got pregnant upon a bathroom break. She had an appt to be fixed and our luck lockdown had just begun for covid. We didn’t know how to do anything for a whole litter of puppies and again our luck brought us a first time mother with 10 little mouths. With the best of our knowledge we did our best. I’m so happy to have come upon your videos because you all did everything we did and now I’m proud of us. I feel as though now that we done everything right. 10 beautiful puppies who all lived and were so healthy. We found their forever homes and everything worked out. Thank you guys for sharing! I am sure there are people out there that really appreciate your transparency.
Y'all add a baby gate or like a 12" board and you will have a puppy palace even from Gabbys point of view! Little Queens and King! Great job, guys! Hope y'all have a great weekend and God bless.
My aunt raised labradors. She used moving blankets under the shavings so it kept the floor warmer underneath the puppies. She also used a long narrow feeder. The puppies couldn't step into it. They're so cute! Great job raising them. My dogs are about as bug as Gabby's head..ha.
They have immunity from their moms milk, also the shots could take up to 2 week to build immunity in their systems. They are beautiful and you have done a very great job and always doing what's best.
Mr Dutch don't worry about what people going to say.u are doing everything right Mr Dutch.i can't believe how big the puppies are my little love the puppies my girls get excited when u drop a new video we love it another great video Mr Dutch.much love from Atlanta Georgia ❤️
Beautiful pups!!! Love TANK AND LITTLE RUNT!!!;; GREAT Experience for your girls.... Can't wait to watch them grow... We raised Dobermans and Pekingese.. what fun that was.... Full blooded , not mixture... Had German Shepherds also ....
Cute set up. Nice that they’re not outside in the elements. I would definitely add more puppy toys for stimulation and also I would add a dog bed with soft bedding so they have the option of where to sleep. I’d put something by the door for mum to get in and out, but keep the pups safely in.
More shavings, loose hay, a bale accross the gate and different colored collars so you can tell them all apart! TOYS!! Awesome litter Yall!! Congrats❤👏💪
The puppies are going to be great out there! Thanks for the great update. Q-tip is really coming along now. That's a better setup than most people. Good video content as always
Good video, I would put down a old blanket on the hay bales for Gabby to lay on and get away from her pups. You could also put a hay bale in the door way of the cave and leave the gate open so gabby could get away for a while. Maybe put the pool in there over those shavings. Have a Good Day
Sometimes stores give away their extra day old newspapers, after they cut out the part they need for a refund. If you don't ask, you don't get 😊. I like your set up for the puppies.
You might be able to get some old sheets from good will to lay over the chips if it proves a problem with them scattering it everywhere. Thanks Dutch. That new cage is great.
Grab a few more bales, slid them together and put a rug or small blanket on them so Gabby can have a refuge from the puppies. She can lounge on top of the bales and nap without the puppies being able to reach her. She can spend more time with the puppies too. Right now she has no escape for when she is confined with the puppies. (at night or while you are at work during the day.) :) I love all of your videos. Great job.
Hi just a thought maybe put a old towel or blanket on the hay for Gabby to lay on. Hay itchy 😜 live seeing how good Gabby is with her babies blessing to you & family💜
Beginning to potty training them is a good idea about now. If the garage isn’t heated then they will need at least carpet or blankets to lay on to insulate them from the concrete. They are adorable!!! ♥️♥️♥️💕💕♥️♥️♥️ Qtip is a little piggy! Lol
I don't get why commenter's on you tube always want to give advice and critique everything. I want to tell these people to save your critiques or advice, I'm getting sick of reading them. The you tube people don't tell you to buzz off because they like comments. Just thank the people for their efforts and enjoy that they shared their little puppies. Thank you for the video:)
It's great to see someone who has such love for their animals.... you really take care of them and give them everything. Wish all animals would have this kind of care and love. LOL, Gabby with all the pups looks like she's sayin' "Lord have mercy, what have I gotten myself into" :)
My Mom was a breeder of Samoyeds (all white huskies) she put different colored collars on them to distinguish them & help when people came to buy a pup at 6 weeks old. She didn’t release them until at least 8 weeks. Just a thought. My Mom had them in the garage as well with a tarp down for easy clean up. Beautiful pups! Btw, we got a 13 week old female & our 3.5 year old male now. We love to watch them play. He keeps her in place, Lol. Can’t wait for her razor puppy teeth to be gone, Lol!
Wow. Awesome ideas!!!! If it get too cold get a heating lamp that's on a tripod. Please please do background checks on the people who try to adopt. There's sooooo many cruel people in this world as you know. You're a good man with a beautiful family. GOD BLESS you and yours.
That is a nice set up for the pups. Nothing like a cute fur balls running around. Don't blame your girls for wanting to sleep with them. Take care of you all. Thanks for sharing eh :))
Don't listen to any of the nay sayers Dutch. What you are doing, is spot on. I have raised purebred Golden Retrievers for over 30 years. And they all graduate to the garage about 4-5 weeks old. The only thing different I do is add a large kitty litter box out there and put some sand, dirt, or even a little sod. You would be blown away how fast you can potty train them and they learn to do their business in the same place. Congrads, you got some great looking pups.
When I raised red heeler puppies, we mixed rice baby cereal with dry puppy food. We would let it soften for easy chewing. We would also give it to them by itself. It gives them extra calcium and calories for their fast growth. Plus it helps mom ween them. Either way they are beautiful puppies.
I like the way you did the puppies in the garage with the dog run. We all ways had our dogs have their pups in the storage room and didn't think to put them in something like that. They would get lost all the time. That is when my Daddy was alive and my mother didn't like them in the house at that age. Now if my dogs have pups they stay in a little kids pool most of the time. But I have Chichuaua now and they are little bit smaller than Gabby babies. Loves and hugs from the little old lady in Alamogordo New Mexico USA. May God bless you and your family
I understand the nightmare of all that wee and poop. I’m just a bit worried about them getting cold now. It’s a big garage and they have been used to your nice toasty house. Hope you can manage to keep it warm enough and that there are no upward events and all goes smoothly . She is such a lovely girl.
wonderful place!! ...... next they need safe toys and things to chew on and i agree that some thicker padding between the floor and the pups Leigh Tadlock : great idea on the door opened and the bale across :) until they can climb over :)
I always love to watch your vedios. The new "Dutch Puppy Hotel" is so pressious. You have to do what your guts tells you to do. Your instinct have never failed you. Your doing a great job all around with your family, the pups and farm. They are getting so big. Before you turn around, most will be gone, and you"'ll miss them. Maybe a night light would be nice, and a toy or two. : - ) XXX
@@KeepingItDutch If you were my son, I couldn't be more proud of the man you have become. Your private messager from upstairs. P. S. Tell your brother, I'm watching him also. He's learning from you. Nice warm shirt. Wink.
You can put a layer of hay over the shavings to stop the dust from the shaving getting in their eyes and causing infections, saw it on another channel with puppies.
Thank you for allowing us in to your busy lives ..such a devoted family..the pups are looking soo good ..mama doin good job ..love & best wishes to you all from Lyn in UK...xxxx
Ya know Dutch, if you can put the pen out just two feet into the lawn the puppies would go on the lawn and would train their selves to be super easy to train 6-8 wks outside romps. If your weather is nice enough move the pen and them out whenever you are up and out. They'll love you and sleep while you put them back in the garage. Or have two pens one out, one in if you can borrow one.
They are getting so big so fast gabby is such a good mommy and a good guard dog she will show her puppy the ropes which one u decide to keep qtip is my favorite anyway I want to see more of the puppies take care and god bless.
The puppies will love being in there. They are getting so big. Too darn cute. Makes me want to have a dog... LOL would love to see live stream to watch the puppies. Gabby will definitely get on those straw barrels to get a break...🤣🤣🤣
Thank you! I had to help my sons friend who was keeping there dog on a concrete floor the poor thing was unresponsive when I got there we had to put him in a warm bath! He did make it but it could have been avoided by putting straw down
You know, just a suggestion- you could leave the gate open and put a bale of straw in front of it, that way gabby can come and go without the puppies getting put. Love you and your family Dutch lol and Gabby.
I would love to have one of the puppies to have trained for a Service Dog. I am a Disabled Navy Veteran with PTSD, seizures, heart problems, asthma and I tend to fall. The dog I have now is a Miniature Dachshund and is 11 years old. She has now developed cancer and I don't know how much longer I will have her. She wakes me from my night terrors and lays on me constantly if she senses anything wrong with me. I had a GSD as a child and I have never forgotten the bond that we shared. I would love to have another one not only for Service but also for protection as I am a senior citizen and I live alone.
Make them some mush, can of puppy food, dry puppy food with some goats milk. I did this for my puppies when their mom started to wean them at 2 weeks old. The puppies loved it, so did Mom. Make watery in the beginning and slowly make it thicker. My girl had 11 puppies, all survived. I barely survived them, lol.
Hey Dutch, when you said about Gabby maybe jumping up on the straw bales to get away from the pups I thought about maybe a bale tipping over on one of the pups and smothering it. Maybe turn them down on the wide side instead of the narrow side.? Harder for Gabby to tip that way. ❤️
Dear Keeping it Dutch: Thank you so much for taking such excellent care of your puppies. Thing is puppies need ALOT OF WATER AND THE WATER EVAPORATES IN WARM ROOM. SO PLEASE PUT MANY WATER BOWLS OUT. IM THE WATER DETECTIVE.
I had german shepherd pups too, when they moved into the big kennel we hayde the whole kennel, your idea is great!!... If you hay the whole thing then you don't have to wash the concrete. But it's great the way it, that's just an idea My puppies where big and fat just like yours lol... It's nice to see more responsible breeders out there!
Nice set-up... If you redress it, you can put a 10 x 12 tarp under it and bring it a foot up two sides... It will save staining your concrete, and they are cheap enough to throw away... But man, they look great... The hesitation at first on the bedding is likely that they have strong noses and cedar is a strong smell... I am sure they will go nose blind to it quick though... Everything looks great ! You are doing a great job !
Dutch plz plz plz put a livestream so we could watch the puppies, that would be so awesome!!!! I would watch them all day long (I'm retired, live alone, hmmmmm I got TIME) LOL
That'll be a great spot for them can't believe how big they're getting I hope you and your family have a totally awesome weekend look forward to your next video :-) peace
The garage is much better, more space for everyone. I agree, you can't have them outside. If it was a small backyard it wouldbe different. Of course they have to potty right away, got to mark their space. Puppies standing in their food and water. Never gets old. I've been to some rescues that use garage/barn structure with concrete and hay. Much easier to clean up and hose down.
Great set up for the puppies!!! It gives them allot more room to run and play in. They are so dang cute, GS, is one of my favorite breeds of dogs. I had one when I was a little girl.
The best and soft bedding is hemp straw, the kind with long soft straws you use for wall insulation. It is much better - don't smell and is softer and can be used longer.
Hey Dutch they need more shavings to sleep on. I just think they might get sick on the concrete. Or maybe some Plastic or tarp and more chips cause they will have direct contact with the cement.
Those puppies eat good food. Yeah, they grow so fast the play pen is too cramped for them now. What a beautiful set up in the garage. I bet y'all will get better sleep now.
Gabby, is a beautiful dog! And such a sweet Mommy! And, the puppies are adorable, you are a great family to take such loving care of these pups! It’s also a great thing for your kids to see, as well! Though it’s gross with the blood and, Gabby licking off the blood and pee and poo! They are precious! It’s so funny to watch the pups trying to run after Gabby! They are too funny, and look confused when she won’t lay down for them to feed!
What worked for me.. A mix shepard moved into my back yard and gave me 10 puppys... To give her a break from the puppys when i build their pen... I stacked cement block high enought to keep them in but low enough she could jump in and out.. When she wanted a break she'ld lay outside the pen and watch her babys..
You use Cedar Bedding available at Home Depot or Lowes Anyplace they sell gardening supplies. The dogs love it and it keeps them warm in Winter and its easy clean up...Change as needed.
I think a hay bale in front of the gate would be a great idea to keep puppies from leaving the enclosure. They are getting so big and they are so cute. Can't wait to see which puppy or puppies you decide to keep. I think you should at least keep Q-tip.
That’s a great idea for a puppy pen. Lots of shelter and room for adults and pups to move. I’ve never had puppies before so I’ve learned a lot. Thank you all.
It's good to see Gabby and her family. So sweet . I Love Gabby . Have you chosen the one you are keeping ? I think you should name Gabby's daughter Abby . She will be so much like her momma , just one letter difference. You may already have a name for her , I'm anxious to know what it will be . You will have two great dogs . So till the next video blessings and love from Indiana.
Pine shavings works much better and are bigger bags for less money at tractor supply. They are going to poo and pee on them so put it everywhere in the kennel. You can also open up 1 of the bales of hay and use it a couple flakes at a time in the bed area when it gets cold it will help keep them warm.
You could try getting a sheet of 3/4 inch thick foam insulation board and putting it down then a tarp on top of it to keep the cold air at bay cuz arthritis can affect them early on. Also once they are weaned from their momma make sure you get some really good organic puppy food to help their bones grow properly. We like Rachel Rae dog food but there's a few other really good choices out there. Just make sure you read the ingredients label before you buy cuz there's a lot of crap being dumped in their food nowadays that's not good for them at all.
I think you made the perfect choice cider is the best, never use news paper the ink is not good for any animal it could be toxic if chewed up. Cedar is natural if not treated with chemicals it’s a great choice.. great job !
The cedar shavings seem to be more powdery. We have always used pine shavings. I guess different puppies do better in different situations! Good luck, SCOOTER🛵
