Miami is one of a kind. I went away for college, and THANKFULLY had an amazing experience. But I learned how much of a treasure Miami is.

as a girl from a place like miami (brasil) that ended up in a school in the midwest - everything you're saying is SO valid and I can def relate to and understand. the midwest and the big college experience are not the vibe for everyone, and in a year's time, you're going to be so happy with your decision!!! you're way cooler than state school greek life anyways :)

I am so sorry you had such a horrible experience. I went to high school in Bloomington but chose not to go to IU. I went to college in Nashville and so happy I did looking back on it. You are way too mature and sweet for those houses and those people. The people harassing you are either jealous of your success or just bored…or both. Just keep doing your thing. Your attitude, morals and values will get you so much further than any of them. Just stay true to yourself and ignore hateful people. They are the ones with the problem.

I figured this was the video coming out next! I actually transferred to IU from another school. And I wouldn’t be having a good time if my fiancé wasn’t here. We literally just walk our dog and people watch 24/7 in this crazy college town lol. The Greek life stigma here is WILD to me and honestly entertaining. I’m also NOT a party gal and it’s all ppl do here. If it’s ur crowd, it works. But if partying isn’t ur thing, I totally see why u want to try something new. (Plus all ur other crazy and unfortunate circumstances). I’ve loved ur videos and can’t wait to see more wherever you go! Keep ur head up!

a girl from my high school class also went to IU and transferred back to a state school, don’t feel guilty for leaving, i’m glad you realized it and doing what’s best for you. trying to stay and make it work will not be worth it. i also transferred home and i was upset and lost a lot of friends from doing it at school, but now i look back and everything has happened for a reason and i can tell it was meant to happen. now i am at the school i didn’t get into out of high school and always dreamed of originally going to. obviously try to have some fun for the rest of the semester while you can but i just started watching your videos and i’m so happy you’re making a happy change! it’s so exciting ❤️

im so sorry that you are/had to go through this, im also a college freshman, attended school out of state, and also had a terrible and experience. I moved back over winter break and have been at community college for this past semester and it’s the best decision i have made !! can’t wait to see what this new chapter brings for you !!!

Aw Tamara. I was in EXACTLY your place last year. I came in freshman year so excited for Kelley and for IU and in return it all ended not in my favor. I came home and attended a college nearby where I am now going to transfer as a junior this fall somewhere thats a lot more relaxed & much less prestigious Indiana (Colorado State hopefully). Kelley was SO rough. I understand trying genuinely SO hard on a test and it always being unattainable.

this is how i feel except i’m a junior at florida state! college is hard and an experience and definitely teaches you a lot. a lot i thought would go great also went south. i did want to transfer but i guess i was always scared and now it’s def too late to transfer but i’m sticking it out but also i will say like at least being in florida i can drive home to miami and i’ve been going home once a month since i moved to college because it’s so culture shock for me! anywhere you go you will do great! good luck

I have never seen any of your videos before but I am currently a freshman at IU this year and plan to transfer after this year. Everything you said about really hoping that everything would work out and then being the opposite, and thinking it was exactly what you wanted in HS senior year is exactly how I feel too. I can’t say I can relate too much to the ostracism you have sadly had to deal with, but I can only imagine how difficult that must have been. Like you said, a degree from a "top" school is not worth putting your mental health on the line. I feel this so much as a track athlete at the university I am running at and I am entering the transfer portal. Everything I wanted went the opposite as well and it is draining and I keep praying to God.

I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. I don’t think there are enough channels that talk about the toxic side of state schools like greek life drama/just college generally bringing out the absolute worst in people. From being in college long enough I think it’s just a given that when you’re in this weird transitional space between childhood and adulthood people either don’t know how to act or end up learning real fast. It took me two years to figure out that the expectations I had as a senior in HS simply did not fit the person I was and that I needed to lose the toxic bs, drama, habits, isolate myself and just do me in order to be happy. You should be proud of yourself for making such a major change!!! I wish you so much luck and love!
