Well, it finally happened.. The home made & incredibly awesome Chisel Disc Harrow went down! Yep the sealed bearings on the front Disc axle finally blew up on me as a result of all of the very rough ground on our new Missouri Ozark's farm. Working up brand new food plot seedbeds has taken it's toll. Many roots were getting tangled in the axle, that ultimately caused 2 of the sealed bearings to implode. So for my last food plot that I just planted I was able to use my hydraulic top link to tilt the chisel disc so that I was only using the chisels to work up the food plot so that I could get it planted. So I started shopping for an add on or even a replacement tillage unit and this is what I found that I felt was a good fit for what I will need this fall yet and over the winter if I decide to use old school tillage for a corn and soybean destination food plot come spring time. So stay tuned for more updates and food plotting action as we are hard at it even though it is pretty late in the fall food plotting season.
