I really loved watching this series and your take on cape you’re. It’s great to see what looks like a regular bunch of people without a massive budget and super expensive rigs doing cape York. I know you do have sponsorship deals but the feel of this video is what I like. It gives people like myself that would when I ever do cape York it would be in my daily driver with very budget setup the belief that it can be done by anyone. Thank you so much for making this series.
Love the 'real' footage of the cape and all the different possible lines through the water crossings. Can't wait to tick it off my bucket list hopefully next year. Looking forward to seeing F2F 'Crocs' become a feature of a future cooking, camping, travelling Vid.... Go Harry... Go the Delica ;)
'Crocs?' Almost as Aussie as driving a Delica through Cape York without stalling it! Good work! Love your show, and your recipes, but especially your dog!
I've been loving the trip videos, and it's been great to see a more realistic and laid-back series on the OTT. It isn't always about taking the hardest lines, sometimes just getting there is enough. Did you ever see any crocs while on the OTT?
There was a young man with no socks He was also a tad short on jocks So he went to Cape York With Fire to Fork Wearing nothing but his trusty old Crocs
I love seeing your version of The Cape. It’s great to get a better feel for what it’s like up there. I’m hoping you took your ‘crocs’ with you to wear 😆
I am starting my adventure to the cape tomorrow from Northside or Brissy with my daughter 🤙 Cannot wait. Hopefully I spot some Crocs. This has made me even more excited!
Great series mate Ive enjoyed watching you take the Delli for a spin. Offer still stands if you ever wish to catch up for a camp on the NSW Central Coast. See you in a couple weeks at the Sydney 4wd show.
I didn’t see any ‘Crocs’. 🤣 Loving the blog videos especially the honest ones of first trip with the baby. Real world experiences not the edited world is perfect you see from others. 👍
Just returned home from a road trip to Oregon for a family visit. While there we took a hike along a creek to see some water falls. On the way I (by force of nature, gravity and loss of friction) kinda like you did except I took a header into the water. Luckily for me there were no Crocs in this river. Loved this episode, especially the dodgy bridge. Thanks for sharing.
We have been to the Cape twice now. On each occasion we saw "crocs." One at Bathurst Bay & the other at Seisha. On the first trip I became a "ferry operator" partly because the ferry kotor had failed & the ferry was being towed each other way by a vehicle. When the northern operator didn't turn up, I had to unhitch from our trailer & pull the ferry to the northern side & before I could hitch up & drive onto the ferry taking the last spot so, I had to tow the ferry over a second time. That time I got to board the ferry to go home. On the second trip, my bride wanted to drive across the Cypress Creek bridge because I had done so on our first trip up so, we challenged all the women (6 of) to drive the bridge. All bar one drove the bridge on the way up, the 6th drove it on the way back south which proved to be more difficult for her to do because she was towing a trailer & nort to south was more difficult that way. I would be very easily tempted to go there again because there is still much to see that we haven't yet. If you can, go to Weipa & Chilli Beach because both places are very interesting & the track to Chilli Beach is exciting. Beware of crocs though. At Chilli Beach (while we were there) a young Irishman decided to swim around an island & came face to face with a juvenile croc. Both turned tail & fled! This is a true story!
How good is the Deli! Interesting bridge, looks like something from an old cartoon with snappy crocs waiting underneath it 🤣 glad no one ended up being a croc snack pack.
When we went to Punsand Bay the first time, we didn’t book. We turned up and BMW had booked out the entire campground for 2 days for the BMW GS Enduro Cape York Trip. Cape York is becoming so popular that you need to book everything to moment you decide that it might be a good idea to think about possibly going to Cape York. Also. I got your book for Christmas last year and I love it!
Glad you made it,must be hard to find the right size crocks to suit your shoe size. Loving the trip, can't wait to see you travelling with the family. Cheers.
Hey Harry, that was my daughter Ashleigh with the scorecards at Nolan's. So stoked to see her pop up in your video. They had a ball scoring the crossings that day. 😁 By the way love the "Crocs".
Loving the change of aspect but also can't wait for the next cooking episode. Crocs are dangerous, bet you were wearing a pair when you slipped at the Cape. Nice work.
Had planned a trip to the Cape leaving from Cairns on the barge and after arriving driving from Seisia back to Townsville. Then got a job in Brisbane so never made the trip. Living vicariously through your videos and a little worried about the "crocs"! Looking forward to seeing the next instalment!...and considering quitting my job!!!
Yeeoww the bridge looks proper sketchy at first. Seem solid tho watching the cars drive over haha. "Crocks" Looking forward to some more cooking episodes mate but the 4bie content is on point also. Very much enjoying the adventure and the mighty delica !
That looks like roonga point? Beautiful spot, we camped halfway along the beach in a swag on the high bank but didn't realise there was a swamp full of crocs just off the beach. 😆
