Abergele and Pensarn is a place I really love, my grandparents used to have a caravan in Llanddulas, not too far away and we'd often come to Pensarn for an afternoon or whatnot, I loved playing in that little play area next to the cafe 😂

Really enjoyed this, Jen! Thanks. 😀 I don't see why they are so fussy about filming in some stations, other than to protect their ability to charge "professionals" for permission to have the "privilege" of filming in the station. 🙄 It's not like you have a whole crew with you or something.

7:26 I love the fact that they have place names and train announcements in Welsh as well as in English on Welsh trains - we Irish have the same thing on our trains, even on the DART trains and the LUAS trams in Dublin 🇮🇪☘️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️

Jen this video have left me quite surprised. Had no idea that the original station building at Prestatyn still exists and I've been to Prestatyn many of times. North Wales Coast is brilliant, stunning scenery and some epic locations and some parts of the North Wales Main Line was quadrupled as you mentioned at Prestatyn to help with the amount of traffic on that line. Looking forward to the rest of the series

Bet it includes the railway station that has the longest name in Welsh. I want to go to that station for myself to see the longest name. Plus at Shotton which has low level and high level platforms. I think it should be renamed as “Shotton Interchange” so that people would know that you can change trains at that station.

This brings back Memories, Holidayed in North Cymru a lot as a kid (My mother's side from up there) so I half remember a lot of these stations and their Holiday parks lmao. I also really need to go back to Cymru, I miss it so much.

Beautiful part of the country. Not sure if you know but there is a wonderful steam powered miniature railway at Rhyl. Worth a revisit if you are back in the area. Great video. Look forward to part 2

I'm back home in North Wales after 3 months away in a fortnight and I can't blooming wait. As for Flint Station you're only 5 minutes walk from a beautiful estuary with a ruined castle on its shore.Well worth a revisit ❤️

Excellent video Jen 👍 The dilemma when travelling down this line is deciding which side has the most scenic views., the sea on one side or mountains on the other

Brilliant video Jen, don't even get me started on staff getting uncomfortable with you filming on the stations. The North Wales line does look amazing, I'd love to travel on it someday. :)

Jen back, back again.... tell a friend! I can not remember if I have been to this part of Wales so thank you for sharing it delights with us. A question for someone are all the 150s and other trains like it in Wales being replaced with new trains and are the new trains the same that you getting in East Anglia/Norfolk?
@knownothing5518

The 197s are a blessing of comfort compared to the 150s, but the peak Trafnidiaeth Cymru seats can be found on the 158s running the line to Aberystwyth!

2:14 I hate changing trains at Chester on the way from Manchester to Holyhead - the arrival and departure platforms at Chester are always a considerable distance from each other and via lifts, stairs and bridges, with less than 15 mins to change trains, not an easy task when travelling alone with a suitcase

Awesome stuff Jen, glad you enjoyed yourself with the pretty stations, unfortunately here in south Wales where im from they dont look after the stations as good for instance look along the ebbw vale line a few are quite grimy and filthy

Great vlog on visiting every station on the north wales coast line Jen. I’ve done most of the stations as far as Bangor now. Don’t like cameras at Chester they never said anything to me when I’ve been there.

I just wish there were more direct trains on the North Wales line from (preferably Manchester Victoria) to Holyhead, when going home to Ireland on SailRail across all UK rail operators - I’m not even bothered about express or first class, just that it was timed to meet ferry check-in and arrivals at Holyhead and without having to change trains

There is no doubt that the most special station in North Wales which is perfect for tourists to visit is the one with the longest name in almost the whole world

on the heart of wales line, you ether have to deal with a 2 car 150 or a 1 car 153

Multi-level reminds me of Heath High Level and Heath Low Level which are pretty close to where I live! They are regarded as separate stations but I don't think you can get a ticket from one to the other (you would have to change at Cardiff Queen Street to do so, so it would be technically feasible, and we do have something a little like Oyster now so it may be that someone will do a Geoff Marshall-style test someday and see what happens). I hope you don't get hounded any further by the "you can't film here" brigade.

Llandudno is in fact further north than Llandudno Junction but still south of Prestatyn. The data, Prestatyn 53deg 20'19N. Llandudno 53deg 19'13N and Llandudno Junction is only 53deg 17'03N @@JayJourneys_1

Hi Jen, Sorry for the stupid question but I was wondering what tickets do you purchase for these videos? Is it a rover ticket or do you just buy a (for example) Prestatyn to Shotton ticket? Loving the videos.
