don't really have an opinion about the whole competitive battling stuff, I just wanna say that one of the best things about battles in legends is that the pokemon actually move forward to make contact with their enemies, and that move animations feel impactful. everytime I use some physical move in S/V only for my pokemon to just...stand there... I just wonder, why?? you had it right there, game freak!!
I agree with that. I think there are some positive aspects to Arceus battling that I really hope GF improves in. Thank you for your comment have a good one :)
I think the battle mechanics will be closer to the battle mechanics of the games set in the present time period than the battle mechanics with Legends Arceus because in the time Legends Arceus was set people weren't really messing with pokemon, but as we see in the trailer for Legends ZA people have pokemon and there is a pokemon battle taking place in the trailer, so I think in the time Legends ZA is set there is a more developed battle system closer to what we see in the current games.
i wish the battle style will be a mix of classic pokemon & palworld. where you actually have to dodge attacks, and accuracy can provide some tracking mechanism(but still dodgeable with skill unless 100% guaranteed to hit)
I wouldn't say a failure it's just as is, legends is a different kind of game. If they keep the same mechanics then it looks like we get another yr of comp SV. Hopefully gf comes through giving us traditional battles.
