One thing that people misunderstand is that 'Motivation' is a temporary mindset whereas 'Discipline' is what keeps you going. Find your passion, your reason for making your channel, your ambition when they skies are grey, your having a bad day, and you STILL turn on that camera and make that video. THAT'S what it takes to succeed! Who here agrees? 👌🏻
Your videos are incredible, and it seems like every video you’re getting more and more comfortable in front of the camera. Looking forward to the next one 😁
This video was particularly interesting because those mental models give you a solid base for descision making and personal behavior in general. The best part of it: you can apply them to any field you want and personalize a mental model to your needs. Thanks for sharing Davie.
This is my second time watching this. It's good to comeback to this vids every once in a while to remember them. This are solid knowledge, thank you Davie!
What a coincidence! I'm currently reading a book written by Shane Parrish explaining the great mental models. Some of your principles are already mentioned in the book.
I use about 30 mental models at this point trying to work my way to 100 Like Charlie. Love how on point you rare with what's actually important in entrepreneurship.
Thank you so much for everything Davie!! I am grateful for people like you who are inspiring and motivating to me. Happy holidays to you and your friends and family 🌲🎁❤️
To be honest with myself, Davie u shouldn't say thank you for following u on RU-vid, Instagram and Twitter...it is me to thank you for all my journey tho i haven't seen much but the momentum is underated. I starting following you from April this year coz that's when i discovered you page, it was just just a title on a video then i knew I am almost near the smoke. I am super grateful for discovering you, and since then i signed to become your student until then. I am sure you have no idea whether you might have student like me, but i am proud to have a mentor like Davie forgaty. I am so appreciative my brother, an my mentor. Happy Christmas 🎄⛄ and prosperous 2022
8:20 “Sounds like I didn’t get invited to a party” 😂 I rewatched and laughed so hard. I started imagining that you are explaining what to do when you are not getting invited to a party. Great video though. Thanks.
Hi davie love the content! Could you please make a video of how you became succesfull, like where did you build your knowledge and which books etc. would you recommend us? Maybe aswell a day in your life!
Great video! Some constructive criticism: the stock broll footage was overused and it made the video feel less credible. I understand lots of shots needing to be used but it would be great to see more creative footage, perhaps more behind the scenes of your businesses rather than generic stock footage Keep up the amazing work!
hey davie, I just wanna know what we humans really really want?? where we can say enough is enough? we are destroying thus planet...... what do we really really want in life?? after becoming successful, making tons of money people never stops working, so what us the thing we all are trying to achieve??
In summary: inversion-instead of thinking what might work, thinking about what doesn't, and staying away from them will increase the possibility to succeed. margin safety-don't go full in, know your limits circle of competence- be humble pareto principle-find the leverage, and find the method that works the best for you, spend 20% of your time but make 80% of the result. opportunity cost-you spend time learning about business instead of partying out with friends, you miss the fun night, but you gain in long run. first principle- "The things best to know are first principles and causes, but these things are perhaps the most difficult for men to grasp, for they are farthest removed from the senses. - Aristotle". A first principle is a foundational proposition or assumption that stands alone. We cannot deduce first principles from any other proposition or assumption. hanlon's razor- don't simply assume and be less judgemental flywheel effect-from good to great, focus on what matters the most for your business, and keep pushing it.
Good content always :) Never compare Aristotle( 384-322 BC) with a businesman like Elon. The Greek philoshpher is far away and beyond comparison to anyone else. Congrats for your thinking I wish you the BEST!! Enjoy it you deserve it:)
Hi Davie, I love your videos. I want to become a Shopify web designer ( just learning the basics and fundamentals of all skills and sell them). Brands like you use free themes like debut cuz it is fast and hires a developer to make the store look like a brand. Do you think I should learn Shopify liquid also or should I use page builders? What's your suggestion? In your previous video you said that you will hire a developer for FAQs and comparison table why didn’t you use pagebuilders. Plz guide me
As a web designer, you want to make sure your clients see value. To begin with, you can become proficient with a page builder and once you have built up a client base, you can begin to learn liquid that will enable you to customise the page as you see fit. The important part is not to get too caught up and just get started!
Hi Davie congratulations on your success, who would you suggest in Australia for the best 3d drawings? For my object/ornament so I can bring my idea to life.
Watching your vids from the beginning... Must say that the way this video was created (with random videos and pics while you are talking) doesn't suit me as a spectator as it takes my focus of your words... Besides that, a great video as always :)
