I'm from Maine and currently live in upstate new york and my favorite potato salad that I make regularly is the southern potato salad, I make it the same way but I use cut sweet pickles and a grated carrot , when the potato's are still hot I pour pickle brine on them , you can eat potato salad for breakfast lunch or dinner, but the best is the midnight raid the fridge, rome new york ,yes I lived through an ef2 tornado, I'm lucky my house can be repaired but 2 houses over those houses look like they exploded

I really like the baked/smashed potato salad - never heard of that before. My favorite potato salad (thanks to my step-mom) uses SPIKE No-Salt seasoning. It is for those who hat bland and boring potato salads.
I also love celery seed in potato salad. I think the crispy salad is the first one that I want to make-that’s if we don’t eat all the potatoes when they come out of the oven!!
I cant chew food too well because of dental issues, so i put 2 or 3 strips of raw bacon in boiling water,remove and ad my Potatoes with Onion Powder, Celery Salt, to the Water. the hard boiled eggs are great.. add Vinegar and Paprika.. its reall good! I wish i could find more soft food recipes.
You should also do a video of German potato salad. I and a lot of others don’t like a mayonnaise based salad, but the vinegar dressing in German potato salad makes it so tangy and good.

I don't like raw onion and celery, but I agree that potato salad is good with a little crunch/texture so I found that bell pepper gives it that crunch.
Why do they call it southern potato salad? I am way up north. That is the basic potato salad we all make too. It is just good old American potato salad.
Stop being lazy! Get away from as much gov approved chemicals in packaged foods and read the ranch dressing ingredients and just make your own.. I do understand the cheese in the popper one though, those anti caking chems come in handy sometimes.. Good job too..
