In this worldbox episode I decided to create a worldbox battle royale where land gets smaller every minute. Merch - df.store/ Game: worldbox Music provided by: (Epidemic Sound) www.epidemicsound.com/
I have a worldbox challenge that I think you’d have fun with. The basic goal is to start with an empty ocean map, and then keep a civilization alive without using the terrain tools. Essentially the idea behind this challenge is that using volcanoes, earthquakes, the seed tool and meteors, you can actually create land on the water and convert it into soil and sand. The catch is that the more volcanoes and earthquakes and meteors you use, the more likely you will accidentally destroy the civilization before they find a place to survive on
When I saw this I thought DF found a mod that would auto shrink the land, sorta like the mods for skyrim that create things every x amount of time (1 cheesewheel every second kind of thing) Nope, DF is his own mod.
It's actually really boring the humans or whatever race just spam ranged attacks and will kill whatever boss type enemy really quickly and also zombies suck you need Lot of them to do anything and because of archer spam eventually the infected units will eventually die down to a none threatening amount even if a large amount of the population is injected
I've never seen DangerouslyFunny be so supportive of his idiots before. Nor have I ever seen anyone who plays World Box set up their idiots for success with so many resources before. I dunno why but that made me happy.
Imagine your a person In a dog-eat-dog world. Every ten years, the world gets smaller. Many empires try to survive The Great Closing, as people call it, and die horribly. After years of this torture and anxiety, finally, only one empire, yours, remains. Now the people can finally try and look for a measure to survive. Maybe become a seafaring race, maybe learn how to make land yourself. In the end, it seems that the horrors of The Great Closing might finally start to lessen. And than the heartless god you never worshipped straight up atomizes you and your civilization.
Hey so you know those red circles are plots if they have a shield then they are joining or making a alliance if it's a flag then that is a rebellion and if it's a sword then it's declaring wars
Fun but-unfair to proceed foreshortening the perimeter like a Battle-Royalle-Ring, rising-water would claim beach-fronts in the bays too; carve the water-fronts into/out-of the actual water-line, so inland is threatened fairly.
well if you do some math, a month passes every second, and 10 x 12 = 120, so its 2 minutes. If he sped it up more, then it would be less. In the game, it's every 10 years, but irl it's about a minute.
