For anyone wondering, Lot 14072020 is a reference to the date North of the Border created his RU-vid channel. The 14th of July in 2020. 14/07/2020. It's formatted as dd/mm/yyyy
T-rex with flame thrower. Bear with minigun. Giant gorilla with a headband and samurai sword. Giant bipedal wolf with a double-headed battle axe. Bat with sonic weapons and lasers. Bipedal lobster with a canon and explosives. Then, you'll have pretty much the entire cast of Rampage World Tour.
After seeing the Shark with laser canon comment, I feel deeply in my frail bones that a crossbow wielding marsupial is desperately needed. Just so that Flamethrower T-Rex, Gunbear and Lasercanon Shark can have a fourth member in an Aussie hat.
"While trying to make a bear face look right, it ended up looking wrong because I think it's supposed to look wrong and if it looks right you've done it wrong" This surprisingly explains a lot of creative processes
Wojtek the Bear, Syrian brown bear adopted by soldiers in the Polish army during World War II. The bear, who was initially given the rank of private, eventually rose to the rank of corporal and served mainly as a morale booster for the soldiers. This is a real bear. He also helped move ammo crates and mortar shells. He was awesome! He survived the war and retired to a zoo where his old war buddies could visit.
Although I’m not full bear, my grandfather was a bear and he fought in world war 2, nice to see you are spreading awareness about battle bears. *if you know you know*
9:16 I am Heavy Weapons Guy, and this is my weapon. She weighs one hundred fifty kilograms, and fires two hundred dollar, custom-tooled cartridges at ten thousand rounds per minute. It costs four hundred thousand dollars to fire this weapon for twelve seconds.
14072020 is your channel start date! 18072020 is the first video I believe? Another hit, I didn't know how much I needed Bart in my life until this video, thank you Adam 🙇
I love how instead of using static fur, you make it look more like it had some kind of fur. With static fur, it reduces a lot of good detail, but when you used this method of the sculpture having fur, you were able to do whatever the fuck you wanted with the paint.
12:36 that combo of letters & numbers tell you what Kind of material is in there so like gas(liquid or gas)or a gun powder at least on trucks [so “Most of the time, there is just the one number for caliber. However, sometimes there is another number, such as 7.62×39, 5.56×45, or 9×19. The first number is still the caliber, but the second number denotes the length of the cartridge.” Got that from google]
"Step 2.5a, Addendum 1a..." utter hilarity. Your channel actually makes life a little better for those of us lucky enough to have found it! My 2 kids, 16 and 13, also absolutely love watching and listening to you as you create these works of art! Thank you for being awesome, Adam!
You should let them play around with some polymer clay! If they like watching someone make their own creations, maybe they’ll like making their own! It’s actually relatively cheap, all you need are some modeling tools, some wire and aluminum foil, Sculpey and lots of patience!
Adam playing with the mini machine gun making gun noises, needed an evil Stich laugh added to the end of that clip. XD gave me an evil giggle at least.
This sculpture, specifically the fur texture and the stance of the bear, reminds me of the wood sculptures you’ll find in some small Canadian towns outside stores and small airports.
you’re kind of my hero. i’m serious. seeing an adult person not only letting their imagination run wild, but skillfully realize their ideas into weird little sculptures. and then the entire internet has the opportunity and privilege to see their creations. for free! in well-produced, well-edited videos. your art makes me smile, and remember how funny and beautiful people are by nature. thanks for giving me lovely videos to fall asleep to. i struggle with nighttime paranoia and occasionally insomnia, and something about your lovingly-made, mildly stupid creations makes me feel a little safer.
For your next battle animal (battimal?), I think it would be cool to see an octopus with a different type of weapon in each tentacle. Maybe obscure weapons that can be found in the sea like a broken bottle, piece of a shipwreck....old pirate sword? I don't know, you're more creative than me. Great video as always!
Some cool ideas: Bazooka Black Bear, a polar bear with a flamethrower, and a panda with a katana. You could have the 4 bears fighting side by side. Elephant+tank= Elephatank. Tusks replaced with the barrel of a tank. Giraffes fighting with a spiked mace, or other weapons, on their heads since they swing their heads to fight. Basically Giraffe gladiators. A sniper hawk.
I'm not sure what it is, but it seems like every little detail was perfectly executed on this one. Not that every one isn't perfect (in its own special way), but the painting, the carving ... it all seemed more precise than usual to me. Excellent work!
did you not watch the video? or are you actively ignoring the ammo north chose not to do? it's not like he just skips over it either, he directly defends his action with the logic that it's the part noone will look at, which is a fucking awful mindset for making a sculpture
The minigun noise before the glamour shot was Natasha. Trust me I recognize all my mini guns and their separate noises. And yes they are all different.
I get the feeling "shark with a rocket launcher" would go great next to this guy and the flamethrower t-rex. How that shark uses the rocket launcher will remain a mystery though lol
I think the trick to doing fur right is the Bob-Ross approach of letting your tools do the work. The way he does his trees and you using stiffer brushes ring the same bell in my head.
I think the ammo box you found as reference is one thats meant for storage, literally just a wooden box that holds ammo. Minigun backpacks are different as they need to hold ammo in a specific way so it can be fired straight from the pack. Good job tho, love the model!!
this is one of the greatest joys of being an artist, you can make anything, want a bear holding a gun? you can make that, want a shark with legs? you can make that too! if you can think of it, you can make it, it makes us artists powerful
for those who are curious the orange diamond on the back of the ammo box is probably a dangerous goods label. You see whenever you ship something that can roughly be defined as dangerous (think hazardous chemicals and the like) you're legally required to put on a dangerous goods label that describes what you're shipping so nobody handling it will get hurt. the one on the box looks like an explosive label though underneath the 1.4 it should say explosive instead of just s.
I’ve been a fan of this channel for a few years now, and I just admire Adam’s patience. I would have thrown the sculpture at the wall before even getting the foil done🤣
that has genuinley gotta be the best sculpted fur i have EVER seen, you nailed it!!!! also i gotta say, dabbing the edges of 'metal' stuff with silver is so effective, it looks amazing :D
one of my favorite things to see you do is hit foam with a rock, to make a rock. also I thought the little bits of silver to show paint chipping was cool.
The process you used to make the fur is the same process that I came up with for my lil’ clay cats! I has some sculpy clay sitting around and after watching some of your videos, I just started making little cats. Thats how I do the fur, i block in the bigger clumps of fur then I go back over those clumps to add more detail
The markings on the ammo are for an orange diamond hazard class 1.4 and is label used to identify substances that have a minor explosive hazard potential, like ammo.
Pov: Soviet union recruitment center: "This is boris, you insulted him, he isnt a bear just a hairy comrade... comeon, you wanted anyone who could hold a mosi!"
I can't bear it anymore!! Your bear jokes, barely a few minutes in already, had me laughing. Love your imagination and your narrations are top-notch!! Thanks for the entertainment
Have you ever bashed your own fingers with your rock-texture-rocks while you're rock-texture-ing? Also the fur on this dude is TOP NOTCH, I love this guy.
so you made the bear from Guardians. Guardians is a russian superhero team movie from 2017 were they had a guy who turned in to a bear man with a minigun but he could also turn in to a normal bear
Has anyone else noticed that somewhere after 9:49, Adam has a voice crack moment? I noticed after my fifth time watching this video, which is a banger.
"With all the evil things living in the woods of the warhammer fantasy world, I bet boring old bears are the least scary thing to run into!" "Ummm...about that..."
The 1.4 diamond is the explosives class label. It’s a warning/info label that is required to put on explosive paraphernalia that classifies the type of boom inside
You have a lot of really good projects. But being a veteran and having shot the M134 Minigun more times than I'm allowed to say on social media, this is my favorite. Great Job sir!
I am heavy weapons bear, and this, is my weapon, she weighs 122 kg and fires 200 honey custom two cartridges at 10,000 rounds per minute. It costs $100,000 honeycombs to fire this weapon, for 12 seconds
you're getting better and better even though you're already incredible. that rock is the most rock-looking rock i've seen you make. rock on. ok, ima head out now.
You should then make a eagle with a rocket launcher, a kangaroo with a sniper rifle, and a rattle snake that builds mechanical robots and then you will have some of the TF2 mercs as animals.
