You could legit sell this on steam with twitch integration and a bit more refinement for like $5 and I bet a lot of streamers would buy it. Its basically just another marble run game which a lot of streamers already do, but this seems more fun and interesting.
@@officialmotomoto2 people at least got every email before it was redacted. 1 took screenshots the other took a screenrecording. Saw the comments saying that.
I love the constant cycle of Code Bullet's channel: loving his videos, then he doesn't upload for months so you forget that he exists, and then he uploads again. Repeat multiple times yearly
3:30 context The object pool pattern is a software creational design pattern that uses a set of initialized objects kept ready to use - a "pool" - rather than allocating and destroying them on demand. A client of the pool will request an object from the pool and perform operations on the returned object. When the client has finished, it returns the object to the pool rather than destroying it; this can be done manually or automatically. Object pools are primarily used for performance: in some circumstances, object pools significantly improve performance. Object pools complicate object lifetime, as objects obtained from and returned to a pool are not actually created or destroyed at this time, and thus require care in implementation. thank wikipedia for this
Evans ability to not give a fuck and the “professionally half ass it” vibe is so much better than people who try to overthink their videos and lie just to get them on RU-vids recommended. His brutal honesty is genuinely the most motivating thing I’ve ever come across. Plus his inconsistent schedule makes each upload a pleasant surprise. It feels like it shouldn’t work but it does and I am amazed by it.
8:06 Evan, I dont think leaking your supporters's email addresses is a good idea EDIT: Thank you for fixing that! Though, you should really be more careful next time
Please release this on steam so I can fight my friends, streamers can interact with chat (like that marbles game), and I can have restaurants fight to help me and my GF decide where to eat.
This is what i get for not having code bullet subscribed with the bell. I get to miss all the unredacted patreon emails! Jokes aside, this was a fucking banger. Your voice AI is uncanny but in a hilarious way. I want more of that guy.
I guess I'm in the code bullet era of blurred patreon emails, shame I couldn't see all those juicy emails ripe for the picking, oh well, I guess another day , I would've loved to sign people up for the "code bullet fan club" newsletter
It might not be that much of a deal, but you could report the leaked emails to Have I Been Pwnd, that way if someone starts to get weird things in their inbox, at least they know how it happened...
If you ever decide to do this again can you add part variation. In real life, beyblades can be divided into four types: attack type, defense type, stamina type, and balance. Attack beats stamina, stamina defeats defense, defense beats attack, balance is neutral. One of the best way to determine a beyblade's type is bey its tip/bottom bit. A flat tip causes causes aggressive movement and low stamina. More friction = more speed. A spiked/sharp tip causes little movement and higher stamina. A ball tip causes medium movement and stamina. You also have more gimmicky tips like a slanted tip that causes jumpy movement. I kinda want to see another simulation that take tips into account. Not only that there's also rotion. Depending on if a bey spins left or right, they may travel clockwise or counterclockwise.
This just wouldn’t work with the physics he has now. These are very rudimentary beyblades. Not complicated at all. This would require so much more work.
@@i_like_bread8835 I mean that depends on if you want to do that via purely physics calculations, or maybe simulate those effects with code. like, I'm relatively sure you could basically just increase or decrease the bey's velocity in-code, and then basically just have attack type have increased velocity and reduced weight, defense type has reduced velocity and increased weight and stamina type is the same as it's now but the passive rotation effect is stronger.
3:30 object pooling simply put: changing the code to have multiple “different” things (like multiple sparks) happen “at once” so that it isn’t trying to do 50 separate tasks. Hope this helps
If anybody is wondering what object pooling is, its where you save things in a pool for reuse instead of deleting and remaking them. It reserves memory space for objects that are regularly being reused. This way the computer doesn't have to constantly allocate and reallocate memory.
Maybe one day Evan will put on his big boy business pants and learn to sell our emails to data brokers instead of leaking them for free. Of course then he wouldn’t need us Patrons.
Code Bullet is not who I would've expected to make an accurate BeyBlade simulator- I would legit pay money if this had more polish and was an actual game with actual controls.
@@YesNo-ko3vlHe said that was the case this time, i did not hear a confirmation that it would always be random. It also only strengthens the possibility of getting seen as gambling, its omission wouldn't negate it.
This is a fun project, but I'm not sure if giving out free merch to the winner is a great idea. Patreon policy doesn't allow raffles/giveaways to patrons, and a luck-based competition like this might hedge a little too close for comfort. If you've already looked into it and determined that this is within their guidelines, that's great, but if not, it's probably worth taking some time to be sure.
FK YEAH! A new Code Bullet video in my feed, awesome. You should run these simulations and upload shorts weekly or soemting. That would keep the channel active at least and get into the algorithm better. That battle was intense.
I mean same but I use masked e-mails for patreon and other gifts to strangers? I mean if I didn't I might even get someone into trouble by accident since privacy laws in my current country of residence are a bit strict but it's generally fine to leak "FakeyMcfakename@fake,address" or whatever the masked email is since it's designed for that purpose. Same goes for credit card details and such for that matter, doesn't cost much at all to generate a one time use credit card if you have a US credit card already so that if your number/name/address are leaked it's just what ever info you decide to slap on the card and not something that could cost you money or layman content creators who are expected to be experts at data security a bunch of money. :o
Why out of all of Evan's nonsense was it 5:55 that made me laugh the hardest. Just out of nowhere a very shortened BIG! Like the first word spoken in Birdemic being cut off too harshly and peaking the mic.
For some reason it kinda feels like code bullet’s videos are getting worse. Like don’t get me wrong he’s still funny, but his videos are now lacking any..code? Idk, half the videos nowadays just seem to be just full of memes and random talking instead of actually showing a coding process like his earlier stuff, which was much more interesting
like i love the content but i would very much like if not educational at least a story of how and why it went wrong and how he fixed it. i loved hearing about how he over came stuff. i like the funny honestly but i want a little more substance like his old stuff
This reminded me of Bayblades website where you could do battles with your irl ones (via codes, of course) and having fun lagging out since I lived in the boonies. Thanks for the sad nostalgia, CB
People are so worried about mailbox leaks. I have at least 15 mailboxes, 3 of which can be considered serious, and the rest for registration on dubious resources. These mailboxes contain a bunch of letters from various places where you need to subscribe to the newsletter, but spam is still filtered into a separate folder
