love the application of paint and latex. i have been fighting with latex soaked cotton for a long time. it can be a mess. So now I will be using your method. I make dead fairies and try to get that look of dead skin. Thank you for posting your art.

I have recently been working with cotton wool, instead of unrolled cotton balls, like in this video. It's a lot more workable. I have not used it to make a dead fairy, but I plan to.

that looks fantastic. i would love to make one. Halloween is not popular in my country but if i can find similer props i will make one. cool that it all held together with hot glue. nothing holds for e usung this method. thanks for sharing.

Sometimes the hot glue is stronger than the plastic. It's great versatile stuff in prop making.

Thanks. It was fun to make. I'm currently making another creature build, using only materials from the dollar store, with a 10 dollar limit. The video should be up in a few days.

Awesome creation mate, If I make creepy skulls from those toy skeletons, I paint the tips of a cocktail stick and clip them off to make fangs that can be superglued in place. ATB, Louie :)
@DarkNookShop
@DarkNookShop 3 года назад
Cool idea. You might also try using super sculpy or primo. You can make a bunch of little fangs and teeth of all sizes, then bake them. So you have a ready supply of teeth for projects.

Adding hair and real scales would really make it look athletic. Add out door Elements and real animal taxidermy stuff to your art .I bet nobody could tell if real or fake.

Oh this is just a DIY video showing how to upscale some cheap dollar store decorations. If I wanted to make a real looking prop... I'd sculpt and mold the entire thing myself. But that gets more and more expensive to do, the more higher end materials you use.

they were all dollar store Halloween decorations. The mermaid was about 12 inches... about the size of a barbie doll.
