Barely showed the final product. We watched this to see the giant Switch controllers mounted to the TV, not a DIY project. Let’s be honest, as impressive as the workmanship is, nobody is replicating this and making one for themselves. Downvoted. You may as well of been rebuilding Noah’s Ark as far as I’m concerned, such is the exposure to the final product in this video.

Great project, would have wood glue and saw dusted the curved cuts to fill them in, and then sand smooth.

As someone that's had a lot of experience dealing with curves like that, while your idea isn't bad at all, you may have found it easier to use 2 mm plywood or 3 mm MDF to do the sides, with internal panels between the front and back to ensure it stays flat. it means Its stapled or strapped down until the glue dries, rather than nailed on, but it also solves an issue of nailing into the side of MDF panels, which is that they split easily, which can cause unsightly bulges that need to be sanded down.

That looks incredible, great job! I'm a woodworker by trade, so this project (or something similar) is certainly something i'd be capable of doing. I'm glad that this vid showed up on recommended, you earned a new subscriber! I look forward to seeing more of your handywork in the future!

Wow this is amazing and complements your TV nice. To answer your question about how Nintendo runs their business (essentially). If they really wanted to compete in overall CPU/GPU power they really could but they didn’t see a success in doing so. An example of this would be the GameCube which was the second most powerful system next to the Xbox and PS2 in the sixth generation. The GameCube however was deemed a failure due to the way Nintendo implemented there optical media due to piracy concerns. Then the Wii came out and made them a lot of money (still to this day I think it’s the best first party output they’ve ever had even if you have to go through all the shovelware shit). The Wii U came out and tried to capitalise on the success of the Wii but failed (even though in my opinion it still had some great games, granted from first and second party though but still...). Then Nintendo just Took their strengths which has always been the handheld market anyway let’s just be honest and thought how can we blend the two together between home console and handheld. Because in the end when you look at the switch it’s an amalgamation of everything label and from every single home console and handheld discreetly in one unique package. The reason the switch is so successful is because it’s not tied to a television and it’s everything the 3DS was in the eighth generation on steroids. At the moment the switch sits as the console that beaten the PS4 in Japan, That just tells me that Nintendo is and always has respected its homeland and what its homeland requires from a gaming system first before the rest of the world. This is because in the end Nintendo is a very Japanese company whereas Sony for example who aren’t a dedicated console manufacturer but rather an electronics company (let’s just be honest here) Gave the PS4 some very western sensibilities especially in terms of software which segregated the Japanese audience. Luckily however since 2011 Japanese developers have been supporting PC. In the end I just think it’s great you can play something like Doom 2016 (Even with graphical limitations based on the system it’s on) and play on my God. The same could be said for all the RPG is that are on the switch and are still yet to be released, the possibilities in the end around bless. I think the interesting thing will be when the switch is at the end of its run (me personally I’m hoping for an involved switch) and when Nintendo will go next because honestly I don’t think they can go back to a traditional home console/Handheld ever again. Also if it isn’t broke don’t fix it. 😜🤘😜
