Just unlocked Minotaur today and A tier is deserving. She can do insane dps and has powerful torps and aa, but she will be sent back to port by the first bb that looks at her
This is my personal list: S - daring, des moines, minotaur(only if you are running radar, otherwise a) - i dont think any battleship/supercruisers can be s because they just dont have the utility A - alaska, stalingrad, conqueror, colombo, worcester, kleber B - kaba, gearing, shima, montana, yamato, bourgogne, colbert C - napoli D - gk Dont have the halland, henri, zao, or carriers, sorry if i missed any others. The Daring is imo by far the best ship in the game, only able to be beaten in a gunfight by kleber with a reload booster, and it does NOT need the special commander, vian is perfectly fine and allows me to average 2800xp and 130k
Nice list, Also Spartan I just got my first admiralty backing backed ship, and my first Tier 8, now do I keep the ship. Even if not keep doing the Admiralty backing if I do not want the next ship for december?
By the way i think how the scale is supposed to be used is that if the scale is[A,B,C,D,E], C is the middle of the pack and S tier is just there for the very rare exception of something great
I only have 2 lg ships right now haven't played that long but as bad as the player base is i just enjoy playing all the ships i have imo thanks for the list and i love watching your videos.
I don't agree with Spartan's reasoning regarding the Bourgogne's ranking. It's implied by Spartan, that most fantastic games with this ship was a result of frequent use of HE shells (we know of Spartan's deep love of HE shells 😜) and being given a more than usual amount of broadsides in a match. The thing is HE shells are often required if an enemy battleship is well-angled and armored, and has an exploitable fire-prone characteristic. HE can be very necessary regardless of your ship's main gun caliber (in most cases) and with the Bourgogne's 12 guns and very low reload, you will create sufficient fire opportunities...clearly not at a British level but it it does not have to be... Any battleship can see games with a convention of broadsides....I can recall a Spartan video from roughly 18-24 months ago in which the ship Spartan was commanding sat prone around an island corner...then a literal assembly line of battleships strolled right on by as if in a parade....all were systematically blown up by Spartan like the Death Star...it was a comically brilliant display of situational awareness by Spartan, made a bit easier by very poor awareness from the enemy. But in the case of the Bourgogne would a similar broadside dynamic be necessary for a fantastic game in most cases? If we are using critical thinking then the answer is no. But why? For one thing the Bourgogne has an amazing reload and on top of that it has two re-load boosters, and with 12 possible guns, that's a lot of opportunity for both AP and HE damage. I think the Bourgogne requires more awareness of the ships you're playing against but if you have that information to memory, it's a fantastic ship and every bit as fun and impactful as the Jean Bart. In closing I agree with the rankings of all accept the one ship that I referenced above.
I personally just find Bourgogne very underwhelming unless given full broadside to shoot at. Yes it can sling HE but I find it's survivability to be lacking among other things.
I agree with you on the khaba, I find it way more effective to drive in and get people to shoot and you destroyers so your team can cover you, just need to make sure you have that exit strategy thought out
I know I’m absolutely wrong and have a wrong opinion. But the Großer Kurfürst is a god when you look at anyone. Most people use a secondary build and call it bad. I run a mix of secondary and agile build. I have the g.k at 34.5 knots and a rudder of about 14.5. But I understand that it’s big and is shot from everywhere. That’s why a agile build is good because I can get out of fights easily.
GK is trash because of its outdated consumables and secondaries that have terrible accuracy and mediocre range, it fails miserably at retaining health with its 8 second damage control+2 heals base and on top of that is bigger than a black hole
Love the tier lists if you do another you think you’d be up for doing all T7 battleships Tech tree and premium I know there’s a crap ton of them but it would be a fun video
@@SpartanElite43 obviously it’s a lot of time it would take cause there’s so many premium T7 battleships but it would be a great idea even just being its own video if that’s an idea you would wanna do
Well, Xarkun just reviewed the Zao, so thank you for the tier list, it was most informative, here's my sacrifice to the algorithmic gods, and I am off to see what our aggressive good bye-er has to say.
Good summary Spartan. Only one I don’t agree with is the gearing. That is one ship I never really fear unless the Black priest is in it lol. The other you missed was Yoshino, that is A tier. As for the Henri you’ll love it. Amazing guns, excellent speed, and way more durable than the Martel or Louis.
Loved the tier list. One ship you did leave out though was yoshino. I know it’s a rare ship and not a lot of people have it however that is a super good ship. It has 16 torpedos and 310mm guns. It’s very solid. I hope all is well and thank you for the awesome video
All Legendary ships are OP and fun. My list: S - Yamato, Schlieffen, Conqueror A - Alaska, Minotaur, Shimakaze, Worcester, Gering, Daring B, C - all others D - no one.
one change I'd make is the Daring. Its better than "B". Now I'm a cruiser main and I do love me a BB on occasion. I typically HATE to play DD's and I honestly SUCK as a DD player. But if I'm gonna jump into a DD its gonna be Gearing or Daring (at LT). And more often than not, its the Daring. I dont have the orc commander, I use Ariadne M Davis (I think she is the Pirate commander) and she does well for me. I've never had any use for the rest of the LT DD's. Also, i'd give G. Kurfurst a little more respect. Granted its not the best BB, likely one of the worst, but it is better than D level. It is at least better than ANY carrier. I'd place all carriers at level D, I have no respect for carriers or their captains, and put the GK at C. I agree with the placement of the Mino for most players, but it is by far my favorite ship at the tier. I do prefer to play at T7 myself but when I do play LT, Mino is typically my choice. And in the rare games that I actually get some spotting, I can really decimate the enemy team with an unrelenting rain of terror. Death by a thousand cuts. Finally I'd rate the Alaska and the Des Moines as equals, either both S tier or both A tier. Love the rankings videos.
Honestly spartan most of the list I can fully agree with. The really sad truth to something like a Kurfurst is the fact because it so big and it secondaries are decently accurate they are not super accurate like Schlifien if it gets caught lacking it will get sent back to port so dang fast. I’m gonna run my Kurfurst with an Accuracy build and my Schlifien which I’m finally gonna get in two hours 🔥 with a full secondary build. Also C. Colombo is in the same pace as Kurfurst with the exception of its very useful Smoke to catch people broadside. Little Side note one advantage that I think every ship has over Kurfurst is the turret angles.
@@SpartanElite43 Oh definitely but you still get what I am saying. Kurfurst is just really bad and deserves to be bottom tier on a legendary list. It needs to be buffed for it to be able to super carry a team to a victory. As you have said it yourself on live streams the turrets are really slow and you have to almost show broadside to get all your turrets lined up.
I think Montana can be an S Tier with AL New Jersey, due to how stupidly accurate it is, but on the whole, you're probably right. She's probably the best fit at A Tier. I'm not sure Gearing would be S Tier for me, Pre-Nerf Sumner kinda put Gearing to shame IMO.
I just saw the video and also that the Gk is in D tier😢, my favourite ship and most played ship in lg tier, I know it is too big and too german but it’s sad because in pc Gk is a good ship but I agree with the place where you put it and also with the rest of the ships
Heres the thing Des moines can sherd battleships with HE but so can worcester and worcester gets a 32mm bow how can you put dos moines better then it when worcester can do it to with better survivability.?
I seen you just destroy yamatos with the Montana so meany times I think if you know how to use it the Montana is probably the best Match for the Yama in the game
So there's really only two: Sonar and Radar Generally most cruisers above tier 5 have sonar (except for the Italians) and some have radar (USN cruisers, Russian cruisers, British cruisers etc) I would suggest you to go over the tech tree screen to figure out for yourself which ship has radar Sonar has a shorter but longer duration ship detection than radar, usually it's between 4km to 6km depending on the ship. Sonar, unlike radar can detect torpedos Radar on the other hand, has a much longer ship detection (generally 9 to 11.7km) but lasts shorter and cannot detect torpedos But of course there are exceptions to these rules, some destroyers and battleships like the Germans have sonar and some destroyers have radar, such as USS Black and Smaland Also a note, you can tell what you're detected by in the top corner. If it is an eye it means a ship is in your detection range. If it is a radar icon it means you're being detected by someone's radar and if it's headphones it's sonar
@@gagemess93 Located means somebody is running a skill which points them to the direction of the closest enemy ship, in his point of view there is a half moon crescent which is aimed towards you as you're the closest ship to him
You really underestimate Wooster's 32 bow and stern. Also Spartan in this video 'Wooster can't turn and gets citadeled', also in his other videos almost never can citadel broadside Wooster.
GK is an incredibly undercooked ship that is simply powercrept to hell Litterally of all consumables are nearly half as bad as they shouldn't be, its damage control has terrible duration, it only has 2 heals base and its sonar only lasts 60 seconds while most sonars (of comparable range) last 90-120 seconds Its secondaries which have the potential to be fantastic are ruined by their rubbish accuracy and mediocre range, they Litterally all pen 32mm and have a good reload This ship is supposed to make up for its colossal size with decent health retention, main battery, solid secondaries and that fine sonar, INSTEAD it has terrible health retention, bad secondary range and accuracy and very awkward sonar
Pretty solid tier list! Wish they hadn’t nerf hammered the Kleber I think pre nerf she was S tier for sure…imo pretty criminal u put the gearing at S tier and left the Daring at B, think both are deserving of A
Agreed. I can understand different people feeling differently about different ships but at least in my port Daring is the best ship in the game by winrate. You have way too many tools. Gearing is solid but not as great as Fletcher or pre nerf Sumner tier for tier IMO. As for the rest of the list....as a whole it's fine...different strokes for different folks on most of these ships. Personally I'd put Colombo, Bourgogne, Napoli and Kleber higher, and a radar mino at the top, but all those ships require a high skill floor to fully utilize. I understand the reasoning behind all the other ships...only Daring do I think is way out of whack no matter how you play.
@@SpartanElite43Not necessarily, you can use the AP against DDs and still get reliably pen damage. I have the ogre commander but prefer Vian for the base trait
When a BB main rates DDs.. 😅😂 "Kleber, you cant put yourself into a useful position to make use of the torps in the beginning of the game" .. and not even mentioning the number one benefit, fastest ship in the game as an early benefit.. or Daring rated medium being probably the strongest versatile DD.. but hey, it is your personal opinion so well appreciated. Just completely disagree to almost all DD ratings.
Good morning Spartan, know this is off topic of your stream today, but i got that message from wargaming which is a End User License Agreement(EULA) then click agree or disagree. could you please fill me in what this message means? Like your streaming days, learn a lot how to play more smartly and being a team player, for i play for the win not damage. Enjoy the game when i can play, but like all games can always use improvement and fixes.
No BB should be in S tier apart from Conq, Minotaur and Worcester should be S tier, Daring is the only S tier DD, Des Moines is more of an A tier cruiser in my opinion but S tier is acceptable, Montana, Kurfurst and Bourgogne are B tier BBs, both of the CVs should be D tier, Schlieffen is a C tier, Gearing is an A tier along with Kleber, Stalingrad is a low A tier, Yoshino and Napoli are B tier and Colbert is C tier, Henri IV is like yoshino with better reload and less torps I would say its a B tier, Halland is a C tier untill carriers at LT become playable, and Yamato is a solid A tier BB. I disagree with a lot of this list but still really ebjoyed the video, keep it up. :)
I swear every person has been brainwashed into thinking German secondary’s bb’s are good. Every time you see one in a match they are always the first to die.
I agree with your comment that a lot of the German BB's are destroyed quick but I feel like not being able to use the secondaries on them it's just a matter of not knowing how to use the ship and getting yourself positioned correctly to be able to use a secondaries personally I feel like when you are able to use them because trust me I'm one of those people that doesn't know how to position but when you do use them they work great
Imaging my surprise ... if hat is the complete list of legendary ships the only ones I don't have are the Halland, Henry IV, and C Colombo. I just bought the Lepanto, so the C Colombo should drop in a week or two. The other two are stalled while I grind up the tech trees (currentl working towards the Tier VII's for both). Oh and I don't have the Midway, but carriers don't count :)
Khaba have an abissal ruddershift because she needed a weakness. Insane speed 30k health with heals, 14km range , 16% fire chance, an armor who can bounce Yamato shells and shatter 203mm he this ship is broken. Delny solves the problem of ruddershift but she was nerfed a lot and don’t have the range of khaba and don’t have accès to range mod. For me khaba it’s a s tier because I’m much afraid by a good khaba player than every other ships in the game
Bourgone does not have 360* degree turrets or good secondaries don’t get me wrong bourgone can be really good if you can get a lot of broadsides on people by being sneaky. But survavibility it’s quite low and caliber as you said 15 inch guns so it ain’t gonna do a whole lot if people actually play smart.
Daring B ? Uhh sorry spartan but you dont need to had the pay to win commander , the free commander do 99% the same shit ,Daring my 4k XP printer, by far the best ship to solo carry in this game imo , but i forgive u , coz you are a BB main 😂
They need to remove the 1 to 1 ratio required for Carriers, matchmaking takes too long in Legendary Carriers. Plus the community has adjusted to them, the right ship with AA nullifies carrier spotting
