2 min classes definitely feel nice for a bossing mule vs 3 min as long as you aren't too weak! the popular boss mules like bucc and hero are definitely popular for a reason, i don't think they're overrated but rather live up to their expectation for being good. at the same time, id pick ark over hero any day even if it's weaker because i dont enjoy playing hero. my weekly income is only around 25b/week with many libbed chars because i refuse to do hdam if it's longer than 3 bursts lol :( thanks for the idea ^^ will keep that in mind!

I had a friend switch onto reboot from reg and he made it almost to 3k legion in just one of these OP events lol. It’s a great time to play reboot!!! It’s such a good investment in the long run if you want to enjoy maple

@@samejorjo6216no they said the boss will stay the same difficulty for normal and hard, it’s not the same boss but it should be similar in tankiness. So if you can solo it pre revamp u can solo it post revamp

-if going for 21*s, i would expect to spend at least 10b per item, so 70b on a regular 5/10/15 to 21* 3 cra and 4 abso equips. you can also take it slower and go for full 18-19* which will still be a comfortable hlotus clear, maybe 30b just to 19* cra and safeguard tap kanna/slime rings, dom pend, black bean mark and other stuff to 19*. even if saving for shiny sf id save as much as you can because there were times where i barely saved enough and if that character didn't hit id want to give up on it. -id say more than half of my 260 characters were from hyper burning, dailies, and mag pots! if pushing to 260 from 250 id definitely just do arcane/tenebris dailies + 7 monster park a day and it'll be more time efficient than grinding with exp coupons

if i continued to do more hlotus mules shad might have been up there! ive been lazy so ill be burning my cadena (already level 245) but also i couldn't get used to shad weaving/45s CDs otherwise i may have job changed my NL :o

thank you! for regular hlotus mules i think it's nice to stop symbol dailies when they take more than 1-2 weeks to level up (should be +5 to 6k stat from symbols). either 235 or 250 is a good stopping point for all 6 symbols or getting the extra fd from reboot passive. then for nodes, at least have boost nodes maxed and maybe the important skill nodes at 15-20+.

it really depends on how much you enjoy playing them! enjoyment > damage any day - but at the same time id be careful since there have been times where i liked a class a lot at first but didn't like it later on since it felt annoying/repetitive/bad mobbing etc. - if you're already leaning towards one you probably already know the answer! both are in a good state right now and are good all around so there's no losing IMO

- this vid took a long time to make (also lazy) so like you said everything was done before combat power was out in gms! - id really like to make guides on those classes but i haven't gotten there yet since it's difficult to cater to all experience of players. For example, newer-mid game players will want to know about how to gear and learn about what skills to focus on. Meanwhile more experienced players will benefit more if i showcase more advanced movement and niche tech with the class. it would just suck to put a lot of time into a video for it to only be slightly useful - the only thing i can think of is maybe node levels and/or ied since those don't factor into combat power >.< otherwise i cant think of anything else

DW damage does not fall off at all in the late game, but their burst is a bit back-loaded. I don't think it's a problem at all also considering the party support it gives. Both DW and NW are good choices so pick what's more fun to you!

DW will always have support. Their damage is still good, it's mainly the backloaded issue and their origin being awful, but damage changes every patch.

I've only tried both up to hlomien/hluwill but not endgame~ f/p is a lot better as a hlomien mule than nlomien because it's much better at high investment compared to low investment. Pathfinder is very mobile so it can be pretty fun and comfortable if you are good at dodging! I wouldn't say either are super op but they are definitely worth playing if you have fun with them :D

@@Essenia Appreciate the response! I've eliminated FP just because there's more to manage than I want and not so mobile. I'm kind of between PF, BAM and BUCC now lol

bucc for sure! most other classes that are similar to khali will probably have a lot of buttons or be hard to play as a trade off for having many movement options

yes, however it is a hyper skill passive that you have to put a point into. it'll give you about 1.5-2s of superstance every time you consume a vein

In terms of fun, Kain without 6th job and Ark with 6th job! Kain is probably a little stronger either way.

there are a lot of factors including star force, maxed boost nodes vs maxed all skill nodes, arcane wep, damage up time, 6th job, and access to wh/bt buffs but in general probably something like - 35k with maxed boost nodes, low skill nodes, mostly 18-19* items, abso wep, no 6th job, needs practice on uptime - or 30k with all maxed nodes, lots of star force, decent uptime - or 25k on a top tier class with all maxed nodes, 7+ 21* items, good uptime

i personally don't like the ball mechanic but illium is very underrated!

assuming solo bossing only, bishop will probably have the worst experience early on because their solo damage doesn't start ramping up until they have a lot of int. merc is harder to learn than ark but will probably give better results pre 6th job and 2k+ nodes so it'll depend on how much you want to challenge yourself!

@@Essenia i saw the video merc probably not for me because I don’t have the time for practice the combos Ark is nice because i play kain as main so i think it similar as game play i think. So for the long run what will give me more results bishop or ark? Tbh bishop look easier to play and you get more exp and drop and easy to get in party for the hard bosses

yes i always go absos ^_^ for a 15 min run, mostly 18-19* items with arcane wep, 4 set gollux, good wse, maxed boost nodes and some into skill nodes should be good enough! stuff like getting 1k+ arcane force for stat, level 250 or 6th job, and getting wild hunter buff is optional but helps!

ya i know it sounds a bit misleading ^^ but ark is keeping up with my liberated ds with 4k more stat and a ror4 so it's not a total exaggeration

i think it's really good!! easy to play and dpm classes are good for boss mules

people with big egos say they're good

Fluidity: - 8/10 if you use filter keys and built the muscle memory to press mana balance frequently - 3/10 with sticky keys or you run out of mana. kanna can't tele-cast unlike most other mages so if you don't use filter keys you automatically lose 0.5s to 1s of attacking every time you tp Damage to effort ratio: - if you are keeping up with current endgame (7k+ fragments), 5/10 since tengu weaving while paying attention to barriers and summons, binding for your party while doing the boss's mechanics, and keeping track of mana bar when quick-charging domain. origin damage is good though. - solo bossing 2/10. low damage on top of high effort = bad score. Bossing weekly: - 6/10 if 70k stat running ctene - sorry/10 for anything else

While the lightning edge change took away a lot of its uses that were especially helpful in lotus, vhilla, the responsiveness it has now brings a lot to the table as well. Class fluidity is a problem while you're not fully comfortable with the combo system, but it does get much better when you've got the muscle memory down.

yeah lightning edge change was such an L 😭you have to be very familiar with merc to combo with single inputs, i personally mash with 2 hands so fluid is very subjective. all the classes you listed are great tho!

@@Essenia hi, i know this is a little bit old, but im getting into kain as a bossing mule, and idk if im blind or not but i don't see strike arrow in the keybinds at all. I was just wondering if you just use phantom blade as mobbing/filler and no strike arrow at all? thanks for the video again and this channel, it's motivating to see basically a fully decked out account of boss mules!

@@dogmaplestory no worries ^^ strike arrow is a first job skill if I remember correctly, I wouldn't really use any of the execute skills for mobbing because either long cd/short hitboxes~

I got a shadower. Super strong hlotus mule I’d say S or SS if u have 6th job. Ridiculous damage even without oz ring.

the ones i didn't mention here that i think are very good: hero, dawn warrior, da. the other ones are probably just about average. but keep in mind damage isn't everything and it doesn't matter what you're playing if you don't have fun with it

they're both very different and imo it depends on what you're looking for. since you're asking it like that id just recommend either 1) lazy/less effort = pathfinder or 2) more learning/rewarding = mercedes

imo cadena is noticeably different in terms of movement since 80% of your combo can be used for movement to dodge the boss's attacks, while for merc you're stationary while using stunning -> enlil -> stunning -> unicorn, personally i dont do that set of combos until after ive baited an attack. as an example, if lotus is about to push, you can do spikes (knockback resist) -> leaf (after push) -> enlil -> stunning -> unicorn -> stunning -> lightning edge and it flows pretty well!
