@@eliana.playsts3 If you're logged in during your game, just go to the lower left menu button, there's an option to go to the Sims central page. I forget the menu path, if I see it later I will edit that in. But you can see all sorts of insane achievements to go for.
I desperately miss the neurotic trait, I always gave it to my personal Sim to represent my own mental health issues and it made gameplay more interesting. It's always more fun when Sims are messy and weird!
I recently started using that trait and it’s more interesting than I thought. He will want to brush his teeth three times, then he has to check the sink. His wife is neat and clumsy so together they are both kinda neat freaks: he always needs to wash his hands and wash the dishes and she is always cleaning the house too
Dont worry about being cancelled 😂😂😂 I have a whole host of diagnosed mental health concerns and honestly, the sims 4 is wayyy too tame. I miss the sheer crazy and chaos of sims 1 through 3. They weren't afraid of stepping into the absurd.
The fact that you could blow stuff up with the inventing skill snd wreak havoc over own as occults (specifically as witches, aliens and unicorns) made the mentally unstable part of me happy
Sims 1-3 was amazing mostly due to the fact they didn’t go out of their way to overly sensor themselves. It was all in good fun, like a pg-13 gta at times
Hahaha you found Imogen Pelly! I loved playing with her. If you play her household you’ll see she’s pregnant by a dude who wants nothing to do with her. So since she had the insane trait I let her go to his house and start a fire lol

I definitely only gave my sims "good" traits so they could have a good life as well Except. My family's got a long history of mental health issues and me being an impressionable kid who was close with all their relatives and thought they were all the most amazing people in the world, I thought some of the "unhinged" traits were just neutral good I never did anything chaotic in the sims but I thought it was brilliant to have sims talk to themselves and love it because they were insane or have to check the sinks because they were neurotic I still think my family's full of incredible people and probably couldn't play the sims 4 without some mental health mods
Honestly, as much as one could argue those traits could be seen as insensitive, I never felt like they were intended maliciously. I definitely also used to give sims the insane trait, and never saw it as a bad thing. Sure, they talk to themselves and wear a suit to bed, but that doesn't make them less lovable- the more wacky aspects of older sims games always felt (and still feels tbh) kind of like a more idealized version/world of the more eccentric/unstable/etc people you meet in real life and it's kind of nice when the actual world can be so cruel about those things.
@@mackenziedesire7515 I just like the absurdity of the Sims, even the weird non-game crashing bugs. I’ve had horses get stuck in my Sim houses and about 20 gardeners turn up to one place, before 😂

when i played the sims 3 for the first time death scared me (still have a big fear of death) but for some reason it was really scary to me in the sims 3 and i made a big happy family and one grilled cheese and a glitch with cheating reset didn't help and my entire family minus the kid that was at school DIED and for some reason the music screaming, pop up of grim scared me. The sims 3 voice actors voice acted their ASSES off because the screaming sounded so REAL. and my entire family was gone and i got the start over scene and i learned about what cps was basically or like where kid goes when theres no other family.
In the beginning I thought you were gonna say you don't want to compare the trait system to the Sims 2, because that's actually a tricky one, but Sims 4? 3 is definitely better in all regards
9:15 so this is the first time i’ve ever seen this in the sims 3 despite loving appaloosa plains as a child, and what’s crazy is you said “that’s very sims 4” and this is actually something referenced in oasis springs since the beginning. i always thought it was a sims 4 only thing.
Neurotic was always one of my favourite traits to give Sims that I wanted to have a serious career path for. Have them lose it before work, and they spend a good time at their work with a placid calm moodlet so they don't get stressed as they work hard.
You weren't kidding when you said INTENSE fire, jeez... that was horrifying and hilarious at the same time! I miss sims 3 traits so much, I've installed a mod to let me have 5 of them in Sims 4 as well, but the traits in game just aren't nearly as fun. I miss scrolling through a million traits to find the perfect ones. I think my daredevil sims were some of my most memorable, just eating dirt for fun LMAO. Thanks for the video!!
I hate that they made TS4 so P.C. and G rated. BORING..... I have endless fun with the more questionable traits in TS3. Not to mention the fact that in TS3 traits actually affect gameplay and consequences.
What are you running this game on? Also did you buy the CD hard copies? The thing is... the downloaded version if this doesn't compare to the real versions. I've also made this game look slightly better too.
I would have swapped unstable with childish. Unstable annoyed me because it always got rid of my token traits and sometimes unstable itself, locking me into a new random personality and making things easier than I wanted. Childish, meanwhile, opens up a lot of actions that are considered sketchy for an adult to do, like fishing in the pool, playing with kids' toys, and some social interactions that are inappropriate but don't come with the inappropriate trait.
