Branded dark magician works really well with slifer. You can use branded fusion to send slifer to the gy and summon him back with the trap. Really sick deck

Rhyme's mood change the moment he sees Runick Fountain hit the field is worth a thousand words, I feel his pain so well because god is playing against runick just so unenjoyable.
When I saw your opponent played Red Resonator and Slifer pops him, before finishing watching the play, I'm thinking Rhyme's opponent is playing smart. That facedown monster is probably either a LV4 or another resonator and special summons another monster from his hand in defense by Red's effect cuz Slifer can't pop monsters summoned in defense. And he can still bring out his Dragon Archfiend or Red Supernova Dragon regardless.
The fun thing is that Revived Sky God although can be Ashed, it dosent stop the effect lmao I've had so many opponents scoop when Ash failed to stop a 6k Slifer from hitting the field
I'm trying to use that little detail and some other silliness to make the gods work in an anti meta rogue deck. Just need to figure out the right engine. Kinda wanna pull something old school endymion esque with localized tornado and modern mechanics. Lots of draw plus recycling graveyard into hand and deck to prevent deck out situations. Use banished and graveyard zones as resources, plus modern draw cards to work like deck thinning in the old school days. Potentially have a way to make slifer and any other monster that can be boosted hit over 30k plus their original attack, and with the lots of cards in hand slifer should already hit hard.
Yugioh’s meta and the meta pattern of release meta archetype, ban hammer, release another meta archetype is honestly what holds the rest of the game back, playing your homies with fun decks and board interaction with how yugioh is set up is so much fun, but everytime I see runick and spright I just want to spit on them when they do lose
My opinion on meta decks has kind of changed a lot over the past 6 months of playing Yugioh more, where I still wish I didn’t feel like I had to use hand traps/hand trap counters to get by with weaker decks but also, using some meta cards or hand traps as support for archetypes that aren’t that strong is REALLY more enjoyable. It makes it feel like I have a fighting chance and can still rep some of my favorite cards, just with a better engine or protection than their archetype might have allowed. Similar to what you did here with Slyfer or what you do with Dark Magician & Blue Eyes Rhyme! The only META deck I currently enjoy using really is PUNKs cuz I like the art and the cyber punk-ish representation of various Japanese art forms but even that has devolved into an engine for a zombie world deck if I’m not playing it pure lol Either way you slice it, all of us just wanna do well with some of our favorite cards, whether they’re good or not or meta or absolute trash and however you wanna play it out, remember it’s just a silly card game at the end of the day and we’re all just tryna have a good time. Except Runik or Eldlich players… they just want to watch the world burn… Also, SILENT ARCHETYPE WHEN KONAMI?! PLEASE?!

i remember seeing this card in the game and thinking they added all the newer egyptian god support but nope i was so ready for phoenix mode to be actually useful

Another cool tool for that setup is Card Advance, which is another option for deck stacking that lets you rearrange up to 5 cards, while it also gives you an extra Normal specifically for Tribute Summoning, great for bringing out stuff like DMG, Sphere Mode or Slifer more conveniently.
Im so used to all the era based decks it always takes me a minute to adjust seeing regular hand traps and meta cards in your hand LOL Also what’s the music at 1:50 somebody?
What's wrong with choosing to go second? Another card and you can attack. Like I get you can set up your board if you go first but if my opponent has a really good hand anyway I'm screwed (I like to run worse decks e.g. no hand traps unless it's in the archetype and I run things like neos, dark magician and perfromapals (just really the deck by itself no shoving despia cards in my decks) (my hero deck doesn't run fusion destiny) Like yeah I'm not getting into diamond easily but it just feels so much better to win as my opponents only really surdender due to their own mistakes or a few turns in (Might be why I hate DPE as I don't really run negates or grave banishers)
People like to go first so that they can basically make it so their opponent can’t play. They set up a bunch of negates to make it so that whatever combo they may have is stopped before it can even start. This isn’t how it works with the older decks because we don’t do all of those combos with the intent of locking our opponent out of the game. Also when it comes to what decks we play, you are literally the opposite of me XD I love blue eyes, cyber dragons, and fluffals. Same series, different (usually rival) archetype lol
konami needs to do soemthign unprecedented and errata the god cards to make them better, i dont want no retrains lol, imagine how fire that would sell. They made blue eyes meta once now its the gods time to shine

You could use metaverse to search mound of the bound then destory it with dpe to search sphere mode it might have saved you 2 hours just so you know also I'd use keeper of dragon magic to search the destiny fusion. 😂
I wanna get back into yugioh but I think it’s dumb you need to open packs to build decks. If I wanted to do that I would just go to locals. Why is there no game where I can hop in with every card at my disposal already? Or am I dumb and just don’t know how to do it?
Lamenting over how Revived Skygod does nothing for Slifer on the field is something I can relate to. All the "Slifer" centric support essentially revolves around reviving it from the graveyard over and over, and both are bad.

All 3 Gods should have more protection,all they gotta do is take out the clause of if special summon,send to GY at end of turn & add into their effects, "Cannot be used for tribute summon (including Syncro,fusion,link & XYZ) cannot be destroyed or targeted by effects,unaffected by spell/trap & monster effects" then they'll ACTUALLY be God Cards💯
Bro Konami is lazy or they just refuse to add good support. For example imagine if when mound of the bound would allow u to get a divine monster on activation. They could add more support to summon them easier as well. Also an equip spell for Obelisk where he gets attack and defense and unaffected by 10 star monsters and monsters with equal or less original attacks. Also there should be a card that protects mound of the bound when you summon the god cards. It's easy they're just lazy. So many people would be happy about that.
@@Miguelon88888 As far as protecting Mound,field barrier is a good card,protects field spell & prevents your opponent from acting a new field spell if they already have one out BUT,also does the same for you, so you'd need bound first,I do like the sound of everything you're saying, but I doubt they'd add a ton,I think the easiest solution is adding in those effects I commented & adding in what you said about bound,activating it adds a Divine to hand,I think that would be enough to make them more competitive & easier to play & make everyone happy,they're too iconic to be this difficult to play,currently I play them in a 50 card decc with Dark Magician engine,most the time I just win with Dark Magician & typically if I do get out a God or all 3 my opponents just surrender🤣💯
@Killah Gaming They are my favorite monsters in all of Yugioh for what they represented. You how mad I get when they just pop my obelisk with card effects 😠😡. All they have to do is just add a continuous spell to search your divine beast and make it easier to summon, specially obelisk. Also when that card is face up on the field your opponent can't target or destroy your field spell. Or I just wished we had a lingering effect from a new monster that that gave it destruction protection like hardened armed dragon, an archetype specific for each God card. I also hate that instead of making new poker nights monsters with better effects they used the same vanilla monsters. 😤
that's an odd deck list? the arcana knights are perfect for slifer since they even have a card that can summon slifer straight from your deck at any time, the joker cards recycle themselves so slifer will almost always have 3000+ atk/def at the end of your turn. combine it with ultimate divine beast, the revived sky god and mound of the bound creator and you get a threat once you can get it out!
I don't care for slifer in this game because he's the weakest of the god cards cause he requires you to have cards in your hand and actively not play them.
A ROM I know this is Yu-Gi-Oh but the new Tenkaichi game need QuickTime events in story mode like when you do want to come come holler dragon fist on a N I want to feel it
