Thank you for this great video! I've been making custom quilted stockings and selling them and have a lot of scraps. I'm relatively new to quilting so I'm excited to make this, even though it's not technically a quilt. Super cute too

Also, a helpful hint, if youre worried about condensation, there is a waterproof batting you can find but i dont have any. Dont know why i didnt mention it in my video! Oops!

Ive just had a lot of moving parts in my life as of late and its been harder to get motivated to make new content but im working on it! And thank you! All the fabrics are moda fabrics so of course theyre amazing! I normally make clothes but it seeeeaaaams (🥁🥁 tss) that every time i made a clothing video things always go wrong😅 so i stopped trying to film them! I have 2 more clay vids in the works and i am going to film more this week when i get the chance!
@@thepottereden 🥺I go through waves of mental health energy so sometimes its tough for me to be motivated to make a comment. That is super cool youre making clothing videos! I have VERY basic sewing knowledge. One day id like to augment my clothing or make new articles. It sounds really intimidating though. I can imagine its really easy to mess up. 🙌🏻 yay for more videoes in the works!
@@Sipzostudios im so sorry that you go through those feelings but know that you are not alone❤️ Yes, clothing can be intimidating but the best way to defeat that fear is to dive right in with some really cheap fabric so if you mess up, its not a big deal! Make your own patters with clothes that fit you well by laying them flat and tracing onto paper or wax paper along all the seam lines. Always leave extra fabric for a seam allowance, and make it longer than you think. You can always take it in and shorten it but not the other way around. I find lots of cheap clearance fabrics at Walmart for $1 a yard. I also go to good will and look at bed sheets! Its a great way to start and learn!

Hi! Thank you so much! I call them mug rugs. I dont really use them as coasters because they may hold moisture as they are just fabric. I only use them for my hot mugs and i haven’t had any problems. If you want them to be coasters, you could always use a waterproof lining as one of the inner layers! I think there is such a thing as a waterproof batting too! I should’ve included that info in the video but it slipped my mind. Thanks for the question! Let me know if you have any more!
