Lol, that looks like one of those Dapper tracks where everyone would figure out the cheese with 5 minutes left, but nope! This day everyone was incompetent somehow)
Map theme Building Together You build a map and then you swap the maps around and build on another map and last validate your own map when it comes back.
kAN is right. In the grand scheme of things, the addition of invisible walls, and walls that aren't really walls will be a bad thing for the game unless Yannic makes some changes. Because you KNOW that user made tracks are going to be 90% troll tracks now. I'd suggest either allowing people to filter out any track that has either invisible walls or hidden holes, or maybe limit the number of invisible walls to some very low number. And maybe force people to validate any track without using the new piece that makes it look like a wall but you can drive through it. Use it for skips/cheese, but not as the only way to win.
I mean… just because your hands are bloody at the scene of a murder really doesn’t mean you did it. Say for instance you saw it happen, the murderer ran away and you ran up to try and aid the victim.
Definitely stumped them by using a very basic strategy. Everyone thinking there's some complicated trick, could have ruled out if there's only 1 potential finish with an opening by wall riding the entire wall in front of the finishes. Or wall ride the right wall after 4th turn (1:11) and see if you can jump the tree plateau.
See, in a Dapper track, 1 or more of 3 things are present: 1. A fake checkpoint 2. A wall ride to save tons of time 3. Some shortcut you'll never see because it's too well hidden Ultimately, this leads people to want to crash into everything to see what's real and what they can get away with. That is the ingenuity of his levels. It gets people thinking outside the Sunday drive box.
the real ingenuity is it means the fewer things he puts in the easier it is to burn through people's time by having the hardest to figure out be at the finish line... since the less runs you get that actually produce a time the harder it is to figure the final cheese out
You could make a track with invisible pieces but have another visible track that is way slower and you have to learn how to do the invisible track to not fall off
Or have a track that looks really short and super easy that doesn't exist and the actual track is invisible but there are clues around the track that looks easy to tell you the route of the invisible one
My suggestion for the next track is just make a map without cheese and watch as people go mad trying to find the cheese. so many cheesy tracks in a row, noone wil expect it.
Do you guys ever consider racing and recording maps off of the workshop? I just ask because I just uploaded two maps, one I made a bit ago, and one I made today. I'd like to link one of the two, if that's alright. In a reply, if you say yes. Or, I guess it's easy enough to search me on the workshop, I only have three zeepkist uploads so far anyways. You or one of the other boys could get a kick out of it, at least.
I saw Scrapmans vid and he mentioned invisible blocks and my mind went straight to, "Dapper is gonna give them an aneurism with them"... Least I wasn't wrong. People gonna be making invisible mazes now...
Here’s an idea for the next track “I built a track that has only fake cheeses” That way people will think they find cheeses but they don’t work because in reality there are no cheeses
Me trying to save a dying man's life after discovering his body with a knife in it on my way home from work. Police arrest me under suspicion of murder. "You're guilty because we caught you at the scene of the murder with bloody hands and your prints on murder weapon, the knife." "Your honor, I was trying to save his life! I just found him while I was on my way home from work! I took the knife out of his chest and tried to hold the wound closed!" Judge KAN "Doesn't matter. We caught you red handed."
Idea: Have invisible switches that change which endings are open, and make it insane where it's easy to switch things on and off, and common things that will turn them all off, and only 1 route that is easy to get a win. :)
You should make a map that exploits the fact that people are going to be using photo mode to look for cheeses + the new blocks to trick everyone. Make a bunch of fake cheese tunnels/other stuff that have clip blocks "hiding" them and invisible blocks that make them not work at the very end. Then hide the real cheese in plain sight: there's no boost pads or wind in it, it doesn't look like a path in photo mode, but it cuts from a section of cheese tunnel before the invisible wall to a section of cheese tunnel after the invisible wall
I like how your tracks have become an investigation. I'm not gonna lie, it does make me cringe when you get upset about the assumptions, but I understand.
Dapper should do a track where the cheese is that you go backwards off the start of the map through a fake wall into a faster invisible track underneath the normal one
Hey Dapper! You should make a track where there’s a certain amount of checkpoint but one of them is hidden so you wouldn’t be able to finish the track until you find the hidden checkpoint😁
