Idea: 2fort but every brush is displacements Also, 4fort could potentially be done if you cut down on func_detail brushes. A lot of things like support beams are usually brushwork and not props, so the map would look a bit blander but could still exist. Or you could use stuff like Propper to convert some of the details into models you can re-insert as prop_statics, which have a separate limit.

5:44 that effect is caused by the doors using additive transparency. Basically, additive means that the closer the texture is to white, the more visible and less visible when closer to black. Additionally the closer the texture is to white, the brighter things are behind it.

I do have some tips on mapping Vertex tool can be used to make edges cleaner and prevents leaks Light tools can be used to light up some areas (light_environment can help out with creating an outdoor area

Quick tip: It seems like your 3d view is on textured polygons which makes it harder to diferentiate walls. You can change it to shaded textured polygons by clicking on the "view" tab and selecting it

It's absolutely easy to finish a maze. Just keep touching one side of a wall until you get out, never get out by just randomly trying to guess. Imagine using the left wall in the entrance of a maze. Since in the end there are also only 2 walls you would definitely end up in one of the wall.

I made koth_EverythingBreaks where (oh boy) everything is huge cubes and they all break. Never could playtest it though, cause bots can't shoot walls on purpose to break them.

4fort was a thing in older Team Fortress games that supported more than 2 teams. There were some maps that had like 8 teams it was ridiculous.

You should be able to do the ctf_4fort, cuz if people can make a 1000x sized ctf_2fort map and 1000x ctf_turbine maps you should be able to do that also.
