Love this! Just a small anatomy lesson though- snakes don’t have eggs with brittle shells like birds. They have “softer,” almost leathery shells. The way baby snakes get out of their shells is by slicing the leathery shells with an egg tooth! So, a snake egg would never look “cracked open” or shattered like a chicken egg, but would rather have many small, straight cuts from the egg tooth! The baby then slithers out of the slices!

Fun Fact: Arbok's face marking on its hood vary between games and regions, so even your unplanned out paint job is still correct! Love the teeny tiny Ekans, too! Another great entry for Poketober!
theres apparently 20 according to the pokedex and the manga shows arboks having individual patterns and the anime has some different but other then that they use the gen 1 design

Here's a spooky thought - a pokemon mid evolution, but then realistic - so bones reforming, skin growing muscles redefining - guts repositioning. That to me is the spookiest realistic pokemon.

fun fact: Snake eggs don't crack, the baby snakes actually create a slit to poke out of with an egg tooth that falls off after hatching. Also snake eggs stick together, and, though I can't confirm this as I haven't touched one, are leathery instead of hard

For anyone wondering, the hole in Arbok's mouth is called the Glottis and it lets snakes breath while they're eating. You nailed the realistic features! I love this meanie linguini
What if you make a set of sculptures of Stranger Things monsters? Like a demogorgon/demodog, the mind flayer, Vecna, etc. It would also be really cool to make the “shadow” of the mind flayer, and use orange and blue lights to make that iconic storm swirling around it.

its so cool how you stuck to the different anatomy of arbok and ekans! i was expecting a baby cobra for ekans, but he looks more like a classic cornsnake, which totally fits his design! they look awesome!
I watched a snake discovery hatching video and then saw that you had done a snaky as well! Love h-ekans-adorable ekans! great job on that mouth anatomy, it really did make everything more realistic!
Honestly missed opportunity to make the ekans seperate from the egg so you can hide him in random places making sort of a small hide and seek for guests otherwise looks incredible, keep going with the amazing work!

my favorite cobra fun fact for you: the hood is connected to their neck, so when it’s not flexed (threat display) it just gives them a slightly thicker neck than most snakes! a lot of other snakes similarly hood up as well (specific types of hognoses being an example!)

They are actually not hard like bird eggs! They’re squishy! And most reptiles actually grow a special tooth called an egg-tooth to cut through the egg!!

As someone who watches Snake Discovery, I appreciate the research put into making this snake. Tho I have to point out, normal snakes definitely do not have speckles on their shells ;) Oh- and I forgot to mention, baby snakes hiss with their tongues!

@@FreedomAnderson From my understanding all pokemon come from eggs like that so it's kinda forgiveable. I would've preferred the leathery shells snake eggs actually have but in the context of pokemon it makes sense
fun fact! snake eggs aren't like chickens eggs as they are oblong shaped and are much softer, meaning they don't crack, baby snakes have an egg tooth that they use to slice their shells open to get out :]
