I still don't get why it needs a remake. The graphics still hold up really well to this day (all it needs are some upscaled textures) and it's on modern platforms (except PC) and, in case anyone's picky with framerates, it's at 60fps. Also I don't see what advantages you'd even get from a remake. A worse looking model? Ugly bloom? Downgraded lighting? Spring sounds on dash pannels and orange/rainbow rings? Remixes that don't fit the context? Tails saves for idiot babies? Invincibility for getting 100 rings (also for idiot babies) and a random 100 ring in the 1st level? Those can all be modded in.
