And this is a reminder why we stop and check our work. Especially if it's something you are relying on in the future. It's when you assume that you did everything right that you'll do something like put a fan in backwards. Its when you've done something before and think you can rush the job that' you're going to make mistakes like that. We've all done something similar. Days like this remind us why sanity checks aren't a waste of time.

As to your end title of "so many novice mistakes", I wouldn't call them novice. Everyone has those days no matter how long we've been doing the same thing and sometimes in our rush to get stuff done we don't go through the mental checklist or just overlook something easy. At least it was all minor and didn't cause a fire or any other major issues. When my days go like that, I walk away from the shop and do a mental reset and then just go back and fix the issues one at a time and move on. Great video showing the dark side that customers don't normally get to witness.

@@LaserEverything didn’t realize sense I had flood fill on when I was using the fiber when I changed to co2 I still had it on in advanced settings ruined 12 tumblers trying to figure out why it was doing that and had to buy a whole new box of tumblers for this lady. I was up for 50+ hours trying to trouble shoot myself and lost $400 and my sanity in the process

as a video editor, I noticed you left in some micro-facial expressions of grumpy, discontent, or "ah sheeeit". I wanted to it point out to you, because I thought that added an "unfiltered" personality sense that I haven't often seen in your cut videos, instead of an outwardly skippy-uppy classic youtube extrovert. Nice touch. I personally think that level of breaking the 4th wall, good or bad results, is why I tune into your podcast. It's informative, has personality, and offers an at-a-glance of "do this, not this" in a very self-evident dialouge. If you consciously chose to leave in the microexpressions, that minor detail was an excellent touch. But, If you did it unconsciously -- your unconscious has an equally good sense of personal-brand. All around, Well done. (except for biffing the fan -- been there done that. Biffing, like steaks, should never be well done)

Thanks for this wonderful comment, it was nice to read. I do intentionally try to keep the videos as candid and true-to-life as possible while still being watchable. There's so much content out there and it's my opinion that people often need to feel seen and feel reflected in media they're consuming. People come here to learn, so we often are showing how to do things the right way - but there's more to it than that and I feel like sharing the realest version of that side of things not only helps the content stand out but makes people feel more comfortable with what they're capable of. It's okay to still be learning. Appreciate your viewership and appreciate your comments on the edit - I don't get them often. Cheers!
