I am so proud of myself for making through three days of work… in a row… and it was not easy!
It has been such a hard time for me but I hope this video can help someone going through the grief process and can relate to the struggles that come with losing someone so close to your heart. It’s the hardest journey I’ve had to go through but I know in the end I will be a stronger person.

I wish there was a magical recipe to get you thru what your feeling. Everyone does grieve differently but I will share somethings that I did in case any sounds like something that may help. Getting a therapist was so hard yet so helpful. She encouraged me to journal which I didn't want to do for awhile. I felt like where do I begin, I don't want to think about it, it will take to much time to get everything out etc. The thing is I had all of these thoughts and memories constantly running thru my head to the point of hardly any sleep and when I finally did sleep I didn't want to get up and have to think, so back to sleep I went. So I started small with journaling. Somedays it was 1 word written over and over, in large letters like I was screaming on paper. Than I started journaling by the emotion/stage. So if it was anger I wrote everything that made me feel angry. Your channel is like a journal right now so that will help too. Having a pet helped me. Helped me get up and be able to focus on his needs: feed, clean up, brush, play and of course cuddle. Im glad you have Rue. Working helps too bc it gave my brain a rest and I tried to just focus on the task/duties I had for those hours. There were days though that I really struggled to focus on anything or just overcome with emotions. My boss and co-workers were incredible and I hope you have that too. I do think talking and making these videos will help you process. I think its going to help others and I hope 'we' the community can help you too. To let you know we care. For people who knew and cared about Luke to have a place to share their feelings. We may be strangers on yt but I care about you and others that are going thru this loss❤❤

Sending you Prayers and love. My Best friend just lost her oldest Daughter just 20 years old brain aneurysm. Talk about it let it out they have some good grief books on Audible so you don't have to sit down and read however I got one of my friends last year a workbook called fuck death on Amazon. I took a death and dying class in college and it talked about the stages of grief in 2011 I found my best friend dead in our apt she was living then another friend in 2013 but in 2017 I lost my brother who was my best friend and then in 2019 my Mother I will never be the same. Cry when you have to cry when I was out and they were just strangers around I would just tell them and get it off my chest. I suggest going to support groups getting therapy everything that will help you talking to people reading things. Going to church if you think that will help I know God got me through a lot which doesn't necessarily mean organized religion for everybody I understand that. Just know you have been on my mind and Prayers ❤❤❤❤

Grief counselling or groups you can join will help immensely Leah. Just by speaking out on you tube videos will help you too ❤❤

I really need to find a local grief group soon because life has continued to get harder for me.

@@lifewithleahrue1247Please please do. It saved me. It was grief support groups. I tried counseling personally but the support group at church is what really helped. People there understood in a way no one could unless they lived it. Sudden death is brutal. You don’t expect it and can’t say goodbye. Like I said I’ve built lifelong support with them. There’s a connection and community I can’t explain.

Thank you for sharing 💕 I do have a therapist but have been dealing with an insurance issue that hopefully will be fixed soon! I have been big into journaling since I was a kid but find myself journaling less and less. I’d like to get back into that. My pets have also helped me get through the harder days. Thanks for all the support!

Thankyou for sharing and I appreciate hearing your experience. The fact that you share is something that will help others who have also lost immensely. I think sharing and talking abt this on YT will help you as well. I know that we dont know eachother but im proud of your strength at a time like this. As a fellow addict in recovery i know hard times can make recovery even more difficult so its something to be proud of; your strenght is inspiring. Once again thankyou so much for sharing... sending you prayers and thoughts

You have a chance to be adventurous and experience new things . Do that and work on your own life and its ok to be selfish like that. In the end you will come out a better version of you. It takes time. Be open to your support group and do a lot of listening. You will know what it will take to move on. Time heals almost everything.

I would love to continue to do the things I enjoy but it has been almost impossible. It’s not the same without Lucas and I’m so lost without him. Each day is a struggle and I understand that it will take time. Just feeling hopeless and want to give up but at the same time want to do what’s best for me. It’s all so hard at this time

@@lifewithleahrue1247 in time you will. Keep yourself occupied with things you like to do and you may find some new hobbies or things to occupy your time. Having this new found freedom puts you at a great advantage in life and in your recovery. Embrace that knowing you have 100 percent of the time to work on your best life. I lost the love of my life 10 years ago and I have 12 years clean and sober so I can relate to what you are feeling. I know it sucks really bad now but it will get better. Keep busy and if you need to talk I'm here as a lot of us are for you. By reading the comments you certainly aren't alone. Find a reason to stay busy and be the best version of Leah.
