Basilan was one of those places that I never thought I’d visit. Until I married a Basileño. Scary at first pero the moment I set foot there, ang saya! Ang ganda ng Malamawi sa Isabela and Bulingan Falls sa Lamitan.

Good day Xzar To "Change Perception" of travelers ! yes ito po ang tamang termino dahil nagbabago na ng ang takbo ng Peace and Order at sa tulong yan ng AFP at cooperation naman ng mga tao. Pray tayo na maging consistent itong status na ganito ! 👍 May iba kasing nagsasabi na "mali na Perception" daw ! hindi naman mali yun e.. nangyayari talaga noon na naging Unsafe ang lugar.. I had relatives in Basilan to the maternal side who migrated to that island after World War II and in the 1950s. My mother's eldest sister, and their first degree cousins where the pioneer settlers of Santa Clara, Lamitan who migrated from Western Leyte Province. Most of my cousins and later their children are the Teachers of public school systems primary, highschool and college of the island. I had visited their places since the 70s because it is easy for other relatives from Leyte because my father is a seaman for free ticket sea-ride aboard MV Don Jose of Gothong Lines, and later Dona Gloria and Dona Rita of Sulpicio Lines from Cebu City to Zamboanga City route. Santa Clara is the home of the largest Rubber plantation where Sime Darby Rubber Company was located. The maker of Firestone Tires of the US. In the 1970s, the husband of my mother's sister was kidnapped by the insurgents back then, but was released after ransom was paid by the Company which was his employer. Now the place is relatively peaceful after decades of turmoil. In 2004, I returned to the place to visit relatives including those in Zamboanga City where I spent for sometime as a university student and later was employed in a local Bank from 1981 to 1983. My memories of this places including the entire BASULTA is varied, melancholic and adventurously challenging. BASULTA, it's pristine beaches and shorelines are paradise, way above most beautiful combined than Boracay in Aklan, Puerto Galera in Mindoro or Dos Palmas Resort in Palawan, and great potential for tourism.

Gumagawa din po ako ng videos sa cycling pero tumigil muna ako sa pag uupload para makaipon at magawa yung passion ko dito sa content creation ng hindi nagrerely masyado sa adsense at brand deals, sa tingin ko po kasi hindi kaya isustain ng adsense yung mga trip na gusto kong gawin kaya na-curious po ako kung pano niyo na su-sustainable yung ganitong lifestyle as a full time content creator?
