Thank you chef RV. I am from basilan malamawi beach or we called white beach ay malapit sa amin. Marami po mga tourists spot na d nyo napuntahan. At maraming2x salamat sa pag features nyo ng basilan paraan upang mabawasan ang kanilang agam2x o takot pumunta ng basilan. ❤️❤️❤️

delicacies from Mindanao area are so underrated. madaming masasarap, kulang lang talaga sa exposure. madalas na kilala ng mga tao na foods are from Luzon and Visayas, but only a few from Mindanao. sana mas makilala pa mga pagkain nila.

One of the best beaches that I’ve been to yang Malamawi. Sobrang fine ng sand, nakakasilaw sa puti and kahit ang layo mo na sa shore e mababaw pa rin. From Zamboanga City, no need to hire a private boat kasi may mga public boat naman. Safe sa Basilan to think na nung pumunta ko e kakatapos lang ng Marawi siege.

Btw I forgot to mention was born in Lamitan, Basilan...my Dad was from Tayabas, Quezon and my Mom from Paco, Manila. But we settled in Davao City where i grew up....we left Lamitan at age 3...

What I’m concerned about these various presentations of the Filipino cooks is that it appears we who speak English don’t understand the language, on the other hand we enjoyed the presentation where step by step it’s giving the ingredients as they are making the dish in English. There are other preparations by other Asian cooking. and it’s under stood . My family is from Bacara Ilocos Norte . I am a retired chef for over 72 years had my Asian Restaurants in different states .Still catering my Polynesian n various Filipino n Asian dishes.

Maganda ang Basilan. Pero isa sya sa mga lugar sa Pinas na kailangan mo talaga mag abiso o inform ang local tourism office para ma assist ka nila. Hopefully dumating ang araw na kahit anong oras at kahit saan sa Basilan ay pwede ka pumunta na wlang takot sa safety mo. Happy New Year
The last time i set foot Basilan was 2001, medyo magulo ng kunti, meron ambush, but... Pero okey lang, tiempo-tiempo lang naman, i visited my siblings Daughters and Sons, nasa Maluso Basilan, at sa Lamitan, i wish i could fly and Visit Them back again,, at Mapuntahan na yong naunsyami naming Mangosteen Farm churba sa Lamitan, dahil sa nagkaroon kasi ng operation ang mga sundalo noon, haisssssttt...
