Point thirst. They want to get as many easy points as fhey can, so they can show off. They forget what the points are supposed to represent, ironically. That's why ranked play and your rank is irrelevant. You can find people who want to improve just as much in player matches, and they'll run the f2death at 2am on a Sunday 💀

I remember on Neo Geo cd (cdz) Samurai shodown 3 had the easy super options in the option menu which allowed you to do supers with pressing just the 4 attack buttons simultaneously. My friends were super happy back then. They mainly still lost, but now they were comboing into supers. No more pretzels. What a difference this option made. The insane damage in ss3 made that their favorite game to face me as they stood the most chance to beat me😂.

I really think modern 720 needs to be changed. Just like charge characters are not suposed to charge while walking forward, a 720 is not supossed to be inputed in neutral, it's a balance design. Maybe if the modern input was something like hold up for a few frames + special it could be balanced, but the way it is right now feels really unfair.
