I was playing Platinum and fighting in the forest with Cheryl, ran into a Shiny, immediately took out her Chancy, just turned and slapped the shit out of that Chancy. Lived on half health, went and took out the opposite pokemon, not the shiny one, with Egg Bomb, I turned and slapped that Chancy harder, in case my ball didn't work, took out the Chancy, caught that pokemon

As much as I like this type of story based content, I would have loved to see it uploaded in the original ludlocke style where we can see the thought process behind every major battle and event.

This was put together so well. I've never rooted so hard for someone playing Pokémon and I'll never subject myself to that much punishment willingly lol. I'm currently playing through Pokémon Fire Red, Emerald, Platinum, Soul Silver, and Black 1&2 and I gotta say even though I'm fighting at lower levels it's a lot easier than what I see in this video. I'm ok with easy mode as long as it's not too easy but if I want punishment I'll go back to dark souls and those types of games. I might try a basic Nuzlocke to see how it goes and probably make my own version so it's challenging but still fun as it looks like it sacrifices the feeling that Pokémon is supposed to give as an adventure. I hope to find the balance so I can enjoy the feel of a Pokémon game and root for myself as hard as I did this masochistic man.

I feel bad about not appreciating this as much as I should, but I feel like when Lud beat black and white 2 it just felt so much more impactful than this :/ the editing for this was insane tho Maybe its because theres too much commentary then actual footage of him talking to chat or maybe its because this is one video and the other was a series of videos, but as a YT frog I feel like black and white 2 was the pinnacle of Ludwig content.

14:06 I did a casual playthrough of Mogul Platinum, and on my team was the Totodile you get for defeating the trainer in the Pokémon centre. It *also* had intimidate, and although it was much later on, he still got dragon dance. That Feraligatr was honestly the MVP of the team. I named him Tsunami. My other team members were Staraptor, Luxray, Flareon, Metagross and my all-time favourite Pokémon, Grotle. Their combined efforts along with carefully strategising allowed me to defeat Dialga and Palkia in the distortion world without anyone fainting. Grotle was also very useful in the first gym battle thanks to Bulldoze.

It’s about damn time, this started during the subathon, decided I wouldn’t watch the streams because the ludlocke videos are by far my favourite content on this channel, aside from salty ice climber moments of course.

As Ludlockes are what made me love Ludwig, I was really excited to watch the series that I heard was coming out. All we got was one video I feel a little let down because what made ludlockes so great are the failures and as I tuned into a couple of the streams, I know there was a lot. There wasn’t any suspense or excitement when he won like in his old ones. Or being knocked out by a random Pokémon while grinding, it just doesn’t feel like the real thing. All love to ludwig tho.

On my run, all my Pokémon ran out of moves, and the finishing blow to the champion was struggle since that’s the only thing you can do after you run out of moves
