you see this and think “this is such great work,” and then you realize it was made in scratch and it brings an extra level of appreciation for something so quality
This is so cool, and is very impressive for Scratch! The Mario & Luigi series is my favorite so it is nice to see fans keeping the legacy alive. Keep up the good work!
Can't wait to come back in a year and see how polished this is. I always expect maestros to outdo themselves with their work haha! Awesome progress regardless
I didn't even know scratch was powerful enough to sustain all these codes. This is far beyond that what I have ever programmed so far (I tried to program a small video game with some characters I created)... I don't know what to say. Congratulations, man.
I love how Mario and Luigi turned out in Scratch, it's because of things like this that I'm trying to learn to use Scratch in more depth, now, if I had to give personal advice, it would be good that the normal movements, that their damage varies depending on the execution ("Ok", "Good", "Great", or "Excellent"), being from 1 to 4 damage (and obviously, the "Miss" that there is no damage, as you demonstrated in the Jump), likewise, it would be good to see other Tandem moves that do more damage depending on the success of the move [so that they are worth using against Jump and Hammer, since they spend SP], they are still like advice that I give, because how difficult it can be to handle this, a lot of success, let's hope that the Mario and Luigi Saga returns one day, even with the bankruptcy of Alphadreams :(
I played the game and it was fun! I'm a little confused on some things, and the jumping attack took me a bit of getting used to, but it was cool to play!
Wow this is amazing! Especially for scratch and I love to see people still giving it some love and the series also inspired me to make my own RPG game! So keep up the great work!
This is LEGENDARY!!!!! I seriously want to both commend and HAVE your ability to something like this IN SCRATCH!! I wish I knew how you animated and had the time-based input system all done in Scratch because I've been wanting to do something like this in Unity for so long but I have no clue how!
This must have required a ton of work and effort, congrats for completing this project! It's even more impressive that it was all made in Scratch. On a side note, I like the meme references in the game, just shows the game was all made in good fun.
I was hoping that this would be made in RPG Maker VX and up, Godot, or Unity, but this is just as awesome since it's made on Scratch. I did have a whole initiative written on Google Docs but I'll have to send a link to it and I doubt RU-vid is okay with it nowadays. I can send it here if you like, or anyone else requests it.
Wait a second i thought this was gonna be one of those videos where you just come up with and idea for a game, but seeing it actually made is really cool
Not to shabby, definitely impressive Like you I had an idea for how a Mario n luigi game can play out, though not the skill to make it, but you certainly did awsome, if I get the chance I love to play though the game and see how it plays. Can share notes if you like, here’s to the 20 years of the super Mario brothers rpg.
The company in charge of the Mario & Luigi Series went bankrupt, so if you can make a Mario & Luigi Game as well as said company, they should hire you.
Whats the remix u used at 3:30 called. I cant recall what game it was from but it sounds so familiar. I feel like it was one of the menu themes for the wii u but I cant figure it out
THIS IS AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 hope next game in the series comes soon or at least a switch port. But you did phenomenal🤩🤩🤩 Will you make other games on scratch because you are really talented. Don’t stop 👍👍👍👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤯🤯🤯🤯
currently, it looks scuffed because it's in scratch and scratch is pretty limited 'n stuff, but it honestly gives it more charm. it's not perfect, but it's still good.
How stupid does someone have to be to ACTUALLY HOLD OUT Something someone Is trying to steal AND NOT EXPECT that person to try to steal it right out of their hands?! 4:30 Anyways, Cool.
But the Mario & Luigi Series doesn't have any other party members besides Mario and Luigi usually-? Geno is in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, which is entirely different from the Mario and Luigi series
This is really cool, my only complaint is that the world map doesn't look good, at all, ik it would be tough working with tilesets in scratch, but still
